    That certain someone talked about that certain event over a month ago while promoting her memoir with London press, but the publication only just released the interview. They asked, and she answered. But she talked about many other things in the interview as well not related to that certain event, but as the media does, they gravitated towards the more 'salacious' topic for headlines. But as someone who works in media, I would assume you understand that.

      @joeybaseball7352 That lady ain't hurting for no damn money to where she had to write a book for financial gain. The memoir is focused on HER life and experiences, including her upbringing, career in Hollywood, mental health, friendships, and of course her marriage but not nearly as much as people who didn't read the book the would think. Very tame tea, to be honest. Will also wrote about her in his memoir because they are inextricably linked, seeing as though they've been in each other lives for 30 years. She had every right to speak and write about the status of their relationship or that certain event because they involved her and being disrespectful to her on Will's behalf is insane.

    If WILL SMITH had not become the Hollywood Earner that he has, this 'Salute' to him at the GRAMMYS celebration of 50 Years of Hip Hop would not have happened. His talent is Pop Music as the TRUE GREATS of HIP-HOP had hit critical acclaim and commercial success before the first record. He was and is an actor who crossed over from pop rapping with DJ JAZZY JEFF.
    A great piece as always Graeme, x!

      @papadre70 5 месяцев назад +6

      You don't know what your saying. Because he made hits that crossed over don't confuse him as pop.Will and Jeff are to of the best to do it .I'm from Philly and back in then Mid 80s Will was eating Mcs in Battles and Jeff won 🏆 the First New Music seminar Dj Battle.and judging by the reaction from the Crowd they were into the Music. Never put Will and Jeff in the Vinnilla ice Mc Hammer and Catagory.

    • @anonamouse.p4115
      @anonamouse.p4115 5 месяцев назад +1

      @papadre70 Why are the people who are commenting so sensitive to a different viewpoint of WILL SMITH'S ranking in HIP-HOP at 50. Trust me, I'd this was 1998 when HIP-HOP was 25, WILL and JEFF were there because of their relevance then. I actually have really enjoyed BEL-AIR and Jeff's participation in it. I also know it is 2023, and there have been 25 years that WILL SMITH has primarily been an actor, a GOOD ONE at that. This got ridiculous from the start so I am bowing out.

    • @kingdemo8840
      @kingdemo8840 5 месяцев назад +2

      Their roots are deeply Hip Hop. They paid all their dues during the late 70s/early 80’s before they got put on. And you had to know how to DJ and EMCEE to get put on back then. I was there. Seen it all. Them Boys are Hip Hop through and through. Dj’d and EMCEED at a ridiculous amount of hood house parties and iconic Hip Hop clubs (Paladium, Roof Top…) and toured with the greats, from Doug E Fresh to, KRS 1, to Rakim, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Public Enemy, Luke and the 2 Live Crew….
      Not a viewpoint, all facts. That’s where they came from in Hip Hop.
      Rock The House album was there first and definitely not Pop. They didn’t perform or grow up no where near pop when they came out. The pop industry wasn’t even messing with Hip Hop like that back then.
