Many notes but no redeemable phrase. They could be the solos of any song.
Muchas notas pero ninguna frase rescatable. Podrían ser los solos de cualquier tema. Quien escucha se queda "afuera" de la música. Con Coltrane esto no sucedía, siempre uno podía orientarse en el solo por más "loco" que fuera.
¿el jazz ha avanzado? ¿hacia dónde?

Whoever listens is left "outside" the music.
With Coltrane this did not happen, one could always orient oneself in the solo no matter how "crazy" it was.
