Perhaps you’re like me and have loved this tune forever, believing that it’s a great vehicle for improvisation. Perhaps you’ve heard Ella, ‘Trane, Bergonzi, Flanagan, ……… perhaps you walk about, singing the tune in a variety of ways, with a variety of nuances both rhythmic and melodic. Perhaps you’re like me and can’t ignore the distractions of those who can’t but help to say stupid/vacuous bullshit, thinking they’re somehow adding value to the discourse. Collectively we need to raise our game, don’t bring-in the worthlessness’s of the consumer capitalist man-made zeitgeist. Should that have any value-added substantive thing to it at all ….is even doubtful.
George's solo is one of the greatest in jazz history in my opinion. Extremely lyrical, while pushing the boundaries of modern playing.

Fantastic tenor saxophone, but recording is no good. Piano and bass a too low.
