Oh I am gluten free also, I find it to be a slight struggle for me but getting the hang of it, lol. Super excited you got your rulers, they are great. I know this is an old video but still gotta comment. You're such a great crafter, maker, creator Mrs. Gayle, thank you for the inspriration. Crafty hugs.

Love this series on the altered book Gayle. After watching the first episode I said I need to go and get a book. This I did and I have been crafting with you each day since. Of course I had to substitute the papers since I don’t have all the lovely digitals you were using, but I love how mine has been turning out so far. Once I take the cover flap off the book, my cover and back are plain kraft paper looking. The name of the book is only on the spine, so now I need to come up with an idea for the cover. It’s basically a blank canvas. Thanks for the great tutorial on this! Thanks too for the beautiful digitals I just purchased last nite.....need to do another book now. LOL

I have those rulers too, and yep I do mostly use the smaller deckle edged one. I did find a great use for some of the other ones though, instead of having to fussy cut some of the trims, lay the rulers by them & see what edges might match your trim edge, then poof tear away! Another use for them sort of leans to the mixed media part of me but also translates to journals... use the edges to run pens or markers down to create some fast lines on the edges, also a great guide for following for faux stitches, just make dashes instead of a solid line!
Personally I love what you design, sometimes I look at it in the process and wonder why you chose a certain thing but in the end it always looks great! That is because we all have different eyes and like different things. I enjoy watching all types of creative people at work no matter what they are making, you never know where your next spark of creativity may come from! Keep doing you Gayle! If we didn't love it, you would not have so many devoted subbies! *hugs* sending positive healing thoughts, wishes, and prayers your daughter and your hubby. A special prayer for you to have the strength to keep on being the support for your family!

Yes, those are excellent "rulers!" However, for the tiny edges you want to decoratively cut, it will still be very difficult, alas. But they're fun to use. And you're correct, that one edge is the best. (The water "pen" is good for moistening lotsa other things, too.)

Really loving this series! It was probably me with the Uhu glue. I’m not sure I described it correctly. It makes my paper curl and then I need to put books on it overnight to flatten it out. I think it has to do with our arid climate. I also have trouble with my Modge Podge never setting up hard and remains tacky. I’ve tried clear coating it with a spray sealer and it helps but it is still tacky. I ordered some Decou Page to try after researching it. I hope it works for me! I really want to do some napkins and like the sturdiness that Modge Podge adds. I enjoyed crafting with you today! I am currently working on greeting cards since my supply is low.
