"It's All About The Ride"
I installed this product on my 2008 Ultra. In my opinion it works very well and definitely gives me piece of mind when I'm stuck in stop and go traffic. If your big twin does not have an oil cooler, this is the way to go IMHO. Thumbs up to the Ultra Cooler. 👍
I Use Phillips 66 x/c 20w50 aviation oil it has a very high zinc content, one of the few oils faa approved. A old man told me that pearl of wisdom. Bike runs super good.
Dennis Morris : There is a lot of scuttlebutt about that oil being the same as Red Line oil...just what I have heard around the race tracks.
I have a Milwaukee 8 road glide would I be able to use it on my bike
I recommend that your video show a temp guage on the rear cylinder, running without the Ultra Cool in place, temps above 400 degrees, are not uncommon on Twin Cam engines, and anything above, 300 degrees, and the oil is gone in terms of cooling, and viscosity. And then do a temp guage on the rear cylinder, after the Ultra Cool oil cooler has been installed, and is working, to show just how much (or how little), the temp on the rear cylinder, actually comes, down..........the proof is in the pudding, as they say. Just saying.
Mine just arrived, (at the shop) it will be installed next week. Looking forward to the results for my Electra Glide, my Fat Boy is next.
Ultra cool is great man...providing more excitement for air cooled engine owners
Man I love this stuff, keep up the good work
I noticed one thing that’s selling me. Compared to Love Jugs they have a on off switch. Your is sensor controlled and that sold me.
I do want some kind of fan for cooling engine in the V like two fans back to back facing front and rear.
Great product!! Definitely going to purchase one. I had already thought about purchasing a larger oil pan like the one Baker drivetrain sells. Would it be beneficial to do something like this adding additional capacity and the oil cooler?
I ordered mines can't wait to have harley install it and try it in the summer.
I love it after buying it my oil reaches 277 and stays there keeps it from going over 300 like it used to
Waiting for my installation.
U guys seem like super good guys.
There is commercials inside this commercial???? What the? And you didn't put a link... good for you
yep you need a fan on a cooler , having two fans is good if one fan brakes down and the extra air flow
Time is off took me 4 hours, works great mine is a 2012 FLHP
I hope I won't get disappointed.
I wish they would put a link to there web site at the bottom of the video
Hi where in south africa can I get one if possible cape town specific for
my dyna street bob 07
I need one for a 2020 street glide
Can you install this on the new twin cooled engines? Where you mount it is where the water pump/hoses are and the new ones also don't have factory oil coolers anymore, if you have the twin cooled engine.
Hello Brian, Yes I believe so :) but please contact "UltraCool" to confirm. You can call Toll Free 1-888-630-1322 Robert Clink is the owner and will be happy to help you with your questions. Be sure to mention you saw this feature on "American Spirit" & you'll get FREE U.S. Shipping!
Hope this info help's, Have a Great One ;) Tim/ASTV
2023 aun lo venden ?? donde compro para una Softail Deluxe 2013
How is the zink screws better than the stainless ones?
Yea I will buy one of those.
are you gonna make them for older bikes i have a 1990 fxr that could definitely use one
I have a 2017 flhk touring. Can I install on my bike.
The heat generated by Harley Davidson's is the main reason they need to go liquid cooled. This is perfect for the thousands of the older Harleys out there, moving forward I am sure HD will get into the better cooling our motor business.
Do you have a system for Sportster? i went to web site and seems there is not for all harley's
Yamaha bolt 2014 ....will it fit ?
Can this kit be installed in Yamaha Virago xv125?
Should I buy this or the love jugs!?
Any advice I can't stand heat in the summer.
Are they more than love jugs??
A friend installed the ultracool 3.0 and Love-Jugs on his road king 120R engine, that's $1000
U hit a homerun robert
Will this fit a Street Glide with a 21" front wheel? Or will it have clearance issues?
How is zinc better than stainless?
I have a 1996 FLSTF Evolution engine and live in Arizona. Can you fit this bike?
So where are the temperature gauges to show the difference in temperatures and how this product makes such a BIG a difference for $500 plus shipping.
Installed on....
I think that's a better choice then love jugs.
Dennis Morris Love Jugs only lower temp 10 degrees and also will cook your legs as its trying to cool your heads
@@samcook2003 you can say that again! Put those fugly jugs on my road king and it cooks my right calf at 250+ degrees. Don't purchase love hugs, you'll regret it. This is the way to go!
I'm glad you guys mentioned and second this. I was thinking about love jugs. Seems the oil cooler is the way to go
I use it conjunction with the Harley CoolFlow fan. Works perfectly to keep temps low at low speed riding. CoolFlow also helps keep the rear jug cooler at speed, with the added benefit of directing the hot air down and away from the rider(s).
Do they make these to fit the Honda DOHC 4 stroke engines?
Did you all get bumped from Angel 1 & 2 - not seen show on dvr
where can I buy one?
We’re can I buy this thing ?
Are there any kits for sport bikes?
Is it a 4 hour job to install this cooler??
Put one on 2012 trike, still goes in parade mode like it always did. Only thing that changed was my wallet was lighter.
Curious, are you saying that your oil temp has not been affected by using this cooler... I do a lot of riding in New York City and my temp is thru the roof(2007 FatBoy) ! With heavy traffic on a 90F-100F degree day I`m looking at temps close to 300F and lain splitting though illegal I still do it but it`s taking a chance..Plus people here get pissed and try to box you in and run you off the road.......Was looking into this..I`d be happy if it dropped it to 230-250 during those days...let me know what you think ?
A trike will always run hotter then a two wheeler but the fans will at least keep the oil circulating in stand still traffic I have a 2010 tri glide and in bumper to bumper traffic it gets to 277 and stays at 277 before I had the fans my oil would reach 315 . 300 and over for any bike is very bad for them . And also I would advise changing ur oil for a trike it need higher performance oil then the two wheelers
What kindve warranty? How much?
Four hours to install??
check out oil bud oil cooler's,no fan's
Yeah, anyone could make a video about a product to make it sound like the best thing ever!
"The shiniest turd ever!!"
But I'd like to see the numbers. What does this cool do, in way of temp changes?
Say... If my oil temp is running near 220-260 degrees, how much difference will this unit bring to that?
(Not actual temp. Just a number for the sake of the question...)
$500 price tag..
Ouch
Yikes, no wonder they didn't mention the price! Thanks.
$500 for a cooler or $4000+ for a rebuild when the heads and piston fries...up to you..
How can a 1950's VW have a fan and an oil cooler but Harley has never done it
It's an air/ oil cooled engine
100+ degrees and traffic = too hot
Altra cool is best solution heating problem.....
According to harley teck?? Anyone done by a harley teck??
I want one.
Nice
Do they make a gas cooler? I've been getting vapor lock.
Does your bike have a fuel pump? Thats the only way you can get vapor lock.
Everything you need except a link to buy one
USE RED LION OIL THE BEST OIL TO KEEP IT COOL BAR NONE.
Do you have any thing cheaper
Those fans look like fans that you’d use in a computer… not down on the bottom where dirt, rain, mud, tar are likely to collect. You’ll have to show me, prove to me, that these guys are more robust than cheap computer fans.
H-D recommends Synthetic Motor oil. I looked it up and Synthetic Motor Oil is good up to 600 deg F. No way will Synthetic Motor oil break down at 300 deg. F. Much less costly.
+PeterDad60 I just checked and the price for the UltraCool System is $400. Your choice, synthetic motor oil or $400 UltaCool System. I'd go with the $70 Full Synthetic Oil and I would change it every 5,000 miles. This is something you need to do anyway. Right? WE all change our engine oil.
I went into HD a few days ago and asked if synthetic oil would help the heat and the guy said not to use the synthetic. Maybe he just didn't think I should put it in my Sportster.
Mary the HD motor co. and it's dealers aren't always the most knowledgeable. HD fought synthetics for years they just hate change for some reason. But now they preach it to all new buyers. You filter oil to remove solids and change oil because it breaks down with TDS (totally dissolved solids). Synthetic with stand 600degs and will go 7500 miles easy without break down which is far superior to conventional oil. Bottom line buy a good filter (HD or =) and change your engine oil every 7500 and your fine. Change the primary and trans every year regardless of miles. My last Street glide had 128k and ran like a watch from new.
BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Everybody's going to cure your hot harley... just get a GOOD tune!
This is what harley teck said.
"Dissipates more air"
$500 for an oil cooler !
yeah its not the cheapest part but well worth it im sure
@@ImperialEwok Only if it proves to increase engine life &/or decrease power loss. Could be wrong but as far as I know it's not been proven that adding an oil cooler to a HD does any good. Other than slightly increasing oil amount. Which or may not matter either.
Oh whatever! A few hoses a filter, a fan not needed and 549$$$
A radiator and a heat exchanger are literally the exact same thing in this application. These guys are total players trying to gimick an oil cooler into something more. What a joke.
I'm a fat dumb lazy bastard could I install this? I refuse to read instructions too! I will need a instruction manual like a comic book to keep my attention...
I. Hot. Oil. Oiler. But there. Parts that need replace are change. Nipples. Go. On where filter. Is. They. Have have. 90 degree. And 45. Degre. Niple. And. On.e. got. Ent. It may need change as well. I t I need. Two. Jose. What size is. Nupple. In.side. and. Out side. If. Nipple. How much will this coat me. Two. Nipple. 45. And 90 degree. And. One hose
You got to be out of your mind to pay 500 bucks for this......
Yeah...or you could pay Harley Davidson $4000 plus for a complete rebuild when your motor fries...
Kinda funny how some of you guys will bitch about a $500 price tag...these range from 300 to 700 depending on where you buy from, but will buy hundreds in lights and chrome..ect.
$500 for a cooler that could potentially save your motor in extreme heat conditions is cheap insurance when comparing it to having your bike break down, towed and having to be rebuilt for well over $4000 at the Harley Davidson dealership. Ive had it happen to friends of mine..high heat...parade's, heavy traffic during bike weeks, ect..can wreak havoc on your motor.
I hope I don't get a 1.000 dollar bill!
Shut up and take my money
Never, never buy a Harley big bore, and expect it to run cool in warm to hot weather. The EPA guidelines have resulted in perpetually over heated Harleys, used everywhere in summer temps. These bikes are a disaster.
It lowers oil temps? Where’s the proof? Just your word, how about a temp gauge showing us. For a high tech company, your video is pretty low tech.
Can this be added to my nightster 1200 XL?
