    Well depends what kind of intensity. You can use negatives and isometric hold reps for training with intensity. Think of Mike Mentzer's methods on this.

    tried full intensity, still injured after 4 days

  • @edwardrook8146

    Easy. You just do high-volume to gain the ability to do higher intensity. Then you train at higher intensity and that's how you get more power.

    Hi man reply if u can
    How much weekly volume for strength training ?

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  Год назад

      It depends on how advanced you are. As you get more advanced, you need more volume (as a general guideline) because you need more stress.

    Ive been doing madcow and SL 5x5 getting big and strong but flabby especially my belly. I want to be thick and hard. Will switching to volume training affect my heavy lifts

      You can always make your first working set your heaviest and then drop the weight for volume.

      I dont think you can be shredded and strong at the same time yeh? One has to give. Most strong people I know look puffy unless they take testosterone.

      You'll have to go on a calorie deficit and try to maintain muscle, that's the best way to looking like a beast

  • @joelgp627

    So for fatloss should I focus more on volume bit also maintaining the intensity??

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  2 года назад +1

      For fat loss, #1 priority is nutrition. BUT as you lose weight, you'll become artificially more advanced, so the volume will likely need to go up. That being said, it still has to be relatively intense. If you're doing LP, then, you'll go to intermediate programming more quickly.

    I thought intensity was more reps?

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  4 месяца назад +1

      Opposite.
      Intensity is more weight.
      Volume is more reps.

    • @BarbellLogic

      No. Lots of things can factor in here (sleep, nutrition, if it was your first workout, etc.).

    Intensity could also mean a lifter's subjective effort(RPE).

    • @BarbellLogic
      @BarbellLogic  6 лет назад +13

      Their subjective effort could mean anything. (subjective)

    • @matalostodos
      @matalostodos 7 месяцев назад

      No, mr barbell, subjective is exactly what you explained in the video. That effort required changes accitding to the subject’s increasing strength levels. That’s what subjective means.
