thank you for this. copper looks pinkish, brass gold-ish (copper+zinc), bronze (copper+tin). In ayurvedic culture copper and brass has more value for it's medicinal value used to make kitchen utensils, where as bronze is largely use for artefacts (:

I wish there was someone that could identify my piece I am quite sure it’s copper I cleaned enough of the oxidation off to reveal flowers in each corner and two inside. I have looked at hundreds of different pieces and have talked to normal people that have no idea what it is or where it comes from, some people have suggested that it came from Sweden or Israel in the early 1900’s. I live in southern Utah it’s hard to find anyone with knowledge.

Copper is an orange red colour, whereas brass and bronze are slightly more golden in colour.

Brass can be as valuable as bronze though depending on the nature of the item in question. Heavy brass Persian chalices early c19th century for example can fetch pots of money though bronze is undoubtedly a rarer metal used to be found as brass is fairly common so there are exceptions I believe. Anyways, thanks was a great no-nonsense video that helped me that's the main thing.

The problem with this is that what you are saying is just not accurate. I have bronze pieces with NO bubbles. Also, just because something is bronze it DOESN'T mean that is better quality or more valuable than a brass one. I have seen a BRASS Indian Rada figure of exceptional quality sold for £200,00.
