@@PolishedYogi I have a magnet wand that (supposedly) makes a heart and trying to use it is the most stressful nail polish experience, 1/10, do not be tempted, would not recommend. I do think Him would be a fun inspiration for a pink-to-red magnetic though! It is a pretty collection but I would have preferred to see a couple different finishes - maybe a magnetic, a glow-in-the-dark shade, or a thermal (especially as Mooncat have been making great thermals lately!). Beautiful swatches as always! I loved the green + blue gradient so much!
I really like the ones for Blossom, Buttercup, and Him, but can we all appreciate how CUTE you dressed up as Bubbles and that you ARE Bubbles with your love for nail polish?!
when asked which PPG we are, I'm in the same boat... I don't know if you've seen the template on IG about which PPG tendencies, but I ended up with mostly Bubbles even though my favorite has been Blossom. 😅

I’m so excited to do a cool manicure with these polishes and stickers. I’m very impressed with the shipping as I’m from the UK, I ordered on the Friday (launch date) and it arrived on Wednesday. I’m so blown away by Mooncat, definitely be saving money to purchase future collection boxes. As I also collect all the Holo Taco collection boxes, I’m definitely going to need to get or make a nail polish/collection box shelf. I’m struggling to find room to store my collections in my bedroom xx 😂 I love THE DIABOLICAL MOJO JOJO!! and CHEMICAL X nail polish 💅 Can’t wait to try them for Halloween 🎃💜🖤💚 as I love the autumn 🍁season xx I love the stickers too, they are so adorable 🩷 I wish I brought another pack of stickers, I think I might buy another pack when I’ve got enough money.

Lol! I am rolling! YES! You are Bubbles! Im more of a Buttercup myself. But, you did a great job showcasing this collection. I love the comparisons as always! I love the stickers and the case. I know people are complaining about them all having essentially the same finish, but I think the shiny sparkly dynamic really reflects the idea of them being young girls. Its like little girls and tiars with glittery gell shoes!! ❤🌸👑

When they were first announced I was like "eh..." but after seeing swatches I kind of want the blossom, bubbles, him, and maybe chemical x ones. Only issue is I try not to buy unless there is a sale or some sort of discount, but since it's limited edition I'm scared that by the time one comes around the ones I want will be out of stock
I’m glad those shades are more intriguing to you now! they’re so fun. but aw yeah I imagine the box set will sell out before their next sale in the fall, but hopefully most of the polishes themselves would still be in stock! though now that I think about it, I feel like in previous sales mooncat has excluded any collab shades :/

I LOVE this collection! So many mooncats on the Facebook page were saying how much they didn’t like it and I was floored! This collection is sooo bright and happy and juicy and it’s definitely the first collection I’ve been tempted to buy the entire box! Maybe it's because of my age or where I grew up, but I've newer even heard of the PPG until this release haha. I don't know if it's because of that, but I'm really underwhelmed by these polishes. They may be different for Mooncat, but in the indie world we've seen these plenty of times. Nailed It, Rogue, Cuticula, PFD, etc. But, if someone only buys from Mooncat, then yes, these are a nice addition to their catalog. Not everyone is a crazy nail polish collector like me 😁 My favorites are the red and black one, although again, even with that one I think I have a dupe or at least something similar from either Polished for Days or Cuticula from PPU. As always, beautiful swatches! I also have a feeling they would look great as toppers over matching bases. That's how I would probably wear them.
Aw yeah I feel like there were a lot of people not familiar with PPG, I think the original cartoon ran in the 90s! And then it was rebooted in maybe 2016 but I’m not familiar with that version 🙈 I totally get what you mean though! I can definitely see other indies like you mentioned already having shades like these. I never tried any that had the super large flakies so it was very new for me! 😝 I definitely think they would be fun as toppers too, I saw Nicole share them over black and loved that! But pairing them over matching bases would be so fun too 😍
I absolutely loved HIM ❤️ and Mojo Jojo 💜 those were I think part of my appreciation for villains. I love the Diabolical Mojo Jojo polish, I don’t know if I would prefer more black flakies because it would be more packed if that were the case and it looks nice having more space to see the purple base and the green flakies as well as the glitters. I tried to speed watch your video while I was making final decisions as I was checking out my cart on the website. Got the whole collection. Now I’m rewatching 😂

Most of these aren’t really colors I would wear but I think it’s a great collection, like i haven’t seen PPG in sooooooo long but all of these colors were so nostalgic 😂, esp the mojo jojo polish! I’m glad they didn’t add more black flecks in that one, the amount present in your swatch is like, perfect imo. Tbh I just didn’t care for this collection when it was first revealed but then you showed how it glows in low lighting and I gasped too! My favorite kind of polishes are the ones that still look great without having to be in areas with lots of lighting ❤

Love PPG and have stalked this release. I definitely was surprised to see there wasn't extras like a nail file, a tiny little charm (like the emergency phone). I am mostly Buttercup... 😂
I love this collection, I think it's so cute and fits the girls perfectly! I love mojo 's polish and it made me glad I waited in those from ppu. I agree that i missed not having a themed nail file or even clean up brush.

Oh man, I might need to get most of these after seeing all your swatch comparisons! I originally thought I wanted Chemical X, but the more swatches I see the more I think I can dupe it with a black creme/jelly and Everything Taco! All the others in this set I think I would have a hard time duping
ahh sadly don’t have Everything Taco to try to recreate Chem X, my guess is that you def get the similar vibe~ of the polish but the flakies are MUCH larger in this collection lol. i think the easier ones to dupe are Blossom and FoE, but it would be tedious with layering 😅 i’m thinking for Blossom maybe ILNP Pink Slush for the base, HT Sonic US and maybe ILNP Lovebird for the blue and red flakes which i think can also be used in FoE but with a combo of Cirque’s Poppy and XOXO for the base 🤔 that again would give you the general colors, but the flakes are smaller in HT/ILNP!
I was wondering how close Chemical X is to Holo Tacos Everything Taco! I know if it was just over a black base it wouldn't be the same but maybe over a black jelly? With layers of everything taco? I think it would be a near dupe! Love the video as always 😘😘
i actually don’t have Everything Taco! but I would guess they’re not that similar since the flakes in mooncat are SO much bigger lol but definitely a similar vibe when it comes to the rainbow + black combo!

I got the whole box even though I think I have s couple similar shades from other brands (from HHC and PPU), but the flakes on these colours look different enough for me to justify it. I was also expecting a nail file or something besides polishes and stickers, but I sill love the collection. I am also Bubbles (with some Blossom tendencies lol).

Definitely you are Bubbles!!! (Your outfit 💙) No doubt you would love the pink shade 😂 I grew up with the PPG! Bubbles is my favorite character but I don’t like her shade. Those lime circles in the polish are kinda blah and too much for me. The Sea Between Us definitely makes me think in Bubbles, I already have something accurate that represent her better in my head. I’m definitely like bubbles too. However, I’m obsessed with the Mojo Jojo shade and how subtle those black flakies look. I think the shimmer makes it extra special. I definitely gonna her that one. I also liked the shades inspired in Blossom and HIM. They look so juicy. I’ll get those too.

Thank you for the swatches ! I had a feeling id like bubbles cause I love lava lamp . I was thinking of chemical X but then looked in my collection and I have a navy blue version of it from PFD As I build to my nail hobby im learning that I dont 100% dislike flakes I just need to determine the ones I dont like on me personally and the names. Im not huge on whatever one look like small white dots kinda, like the PK shade. Thanks for comparisons they truly help me . I also would have loved a nail file or cuticle pusher with this collection.

hmm I’m not sure if i’ve used a polish with mylar flakes before.. most are easy to remove but i can see the larger ones being more tedious. but not as difficult as glitter polishes imo!

My 7 year old son loves them to (ofc I had to turn him on to them) Both of our favorites are Bubbles amd Mojo Jojo 🤩 my 2 besties and me dressed up as them for Halloween many years ago and it was my favorite costume EVER!! I was Bubbles ofc 🩵🩵🩵 but it worked out so well bc I have blonde hair, one of them had short black hair and the other had chestnut auburn hair so it was meant to be 😊

These are super beautiful, but I am a little apprehensive shopping from Mooncat at the moment due to all the stories of bottles spontaneously breaking at rest due to (speculation) the new seam in the side being a fault line. I hope we get more clarity in the future on whether they'll find a different bottle supplier as the new bottles are thinner than they used to be, as well. It's very expensive shopping Mooncat from Europe, so I'd rather not chance it until I can see that the bottle has changed.
i’ve seen a lot of those posts recently on reddit too! the seam isn’t new though, it’s in polishes as old as last summer, so my guess is it was just a bad batch of bottles which still sucks 😵💫 and i’m guessing they place huge bulk orders which is why we saw it happen more recently/frequently. for what its worth (I assume everyone else’s packaging for this collection would be similar to mine) the collection box comes wrapped in a giant bubble sleeve almost? like its thicker than just bubble wrap lol so its very secure and protected, but i definitely do understand the apprehension if you’re not ordering the full collection. i’ve heard mooncat doesn’t send replacement bottles to international customers, only refunds :/ I think i saw them address the issue about the bottles too but yeah it likely will take some time before we stop hearing about broken bottles

I'm disappointed that one cannot buy all of them as a set without the limited edition box. That's a new development. They usually have that option with a discount. The blue one is the one that surprised me. Seeing it on the sneak looks on Instagram, I didn't like it. But seeing you swatch it, I can see more detail to it. Never heard of Power Puff until this as I am not a spring chicken LOL. I think I was in my 40s when they came out.
Probably no discount because it's a collab, and they have to respect the contract and such! I just bought them all without the box, I love the colors but I don't care for the box or stickers

As others have stated, they might do the whole set for ease of ordering once the box is sold out but I don’t recall seeing the discount applied. During their sales I’ve seen a disclaimer that any collaborations are exempt from the sale. Just don’t want you to possibly miss out! 😺

I really like your videos and comparisons. But I couldn’t help feeling betrayed because you did not include other brands in your comparisons. Especially some colors did not have anything remotely similar in mooncat collection and what you put next to them looked ridiculous. I am sure you could find something better / much more similar to those from your collection and you would have included them if this was not a sponsored video. Don’t get me wrong, I am not blaiming you for this but the mooncat because probably this is what they wanted and it is your job. But we care about these videos because they are different and more genuine than brand promotion videos. This takes away from the genuineness imho and makes the video less convincing to buy their product at the end. I hope they read this. Thank you for the video regardless.
i totally hear you! for what it’s worth I actually didn’t have any other flakie polishes in my collection that would be comparable to these; I did end up sharing two additional comparisons to my instagram stories/Comparisons highlight, one of which was a Cirque polish, but even that wasn’t similar in my opinion 😅 like you said, I unfortunately can’t do much since this was their request for the sponsored video, but I am at least able to share comparisons to other brands on my stories afterwards. even for potential recreations, i got a few comments suggesting HT’s Everything Taco over black for Chemical X, but I don’t even have Everything Taco 🙈 I’m sorry it was frustrating though, I obviously never want to come across as disingenuous. maybe next time I can leave a pinned comment linking to my stories/highlight if i do happen to have better comparisons from my collection, but this was just one of the rare times I didn’t.
I'd want to see Chemical X beside Starrily's Planet X. I have the latter and wasn't necessarily wowed by it. The black is ever so slightly too opaque and so it's just kinda murky. None of the flakies can sing. It ends up looking better in the bottle than on the nail. I wouldn't want to buy the same thing again when I could just throw Everything Taco on top of Planet X instead 😂🫣
ahh I don’t have that one but I can see what you mean where the base almost swallows up some of those flakies. i think the flakes in Chemical X are much more prominent so they really shine against the sheer black jelly base imo. I also sadly don’t have Everything Taco but would think those flakes are similar in size to Planet X more so than Chemical X if that helps!

I’m so excited to do a cool manicure with these polishes and stickers. I’m very impressed with the shipping as I’m from the UK, I ordered on the Friday (launch date) and it arrived on Wednesday. I’m so blown away by Mooncat, definitely be saving money to purchase future collection boxes. As I also collect all the Holo Taco collection boxes, I’m definitely going to need to get or make a nail polish/collection box shelf. I’m struggling to find room to store my collections in my bedroom xx 😂 I love THE DIABOLICAL MOJO JOJO!! and CHEMICAL X nail polish 💅 Can’t wait to try them for Halloween 🎃💜🖤💚 as I love the autumn 🍁season xx I love the stickers too, they are so adorable 🩷 I wish I brought another pack of stickers, I think I might buy another pack when I’ve got enough money.

I know people are complaining about them all having essentially the same finish, but I think the shiny sparkly dynamic really reflects the idea of them being young girls. Its like little girls and tiars with glittery gell shoes!! ❤🌸👑

When they were first announced I was like "eh..." but after seeing swatches I kind of want the blossom, bubbles, him, and maybe chemical x ones. Only issue is I try not to buy unless there is a sale or some sort of discount, but since it's limited edition I'm scared that by the time one comes around the ones I want will be out of stock

I personally love black flakes! I think this one has the right amount when used in 3 coats like you did, it's not overpowering the overall look.

I LOVE this collection! So many mooncats on the Facebook page were saying how much they didn’t like it and I was floored! This collection is sooo bright and happy and juicy and it’s definitely the first collection I’ve been tempted to buy the entire box! Maybe it's because of my age or where I grew up, but I've newer even heard of the PPG until this release haha. I don't know if it's because of that, but I'm really underwhelmed by these polishes. They may be different for Mooncat, but in the indie world we've seen these plenty of times. Nailed It, Rogue, Cuticula, PFD, etc. But, if someone only buys from Mooncat, then yes, these are a nice addition to their catalog. Not everyone is a crazy nail polish collector like me 😁
My favorites are the red and black one, although again, even with that one I think I have a dupe or at least something similar from either Polished for Days or Cuticula from PPU.
As always, beautiful swatches! I also have a feeling they would look great as toppers over matching bases. That's how I would probably wear them.
Aw yeah I feel like there were a lot of people not familiar with PPG, I think the original cartoon ran in the 90s! And then it was rebooted in maybe 2016 but I’m not familiar with that version 🙈

I never tried any that had the super large flakies so it was very new for me! 😝 I definitely think they would be fun as toppers too, I saw Nicole share them over black and loved that! I absolutely loved HIM ❤️ and Mojo Jojo 💜 those were I think part of my appreciation for villains. I love the Diabolical Mojo Jojo polish, I don’t know if I would prefer more black flakies because it would be more packed if that were the case and it looks nice having more space to see the purple base and the green flakies as well as the glitters.

Most of these aren’t really colors I would wear but I think it’s a great collection, like i haven’t seen PPG in sooooooo long but all of these colors were so nostalgic 😂, esp the mojo jojo polish! I’m glad they didn’t add more black flecks in that one, the amount present in your swatch is like, perfect imo.
Tbh I just didn’t care for this collection when it was first revealed but then you showed how it glows in low lighting and I gasped too! My favorite kind of polishes are the ones that still look great without having to be in areas with lots of lighting ❤

Oh man, I might need to get most of these after seeing all your swatch comparisons! I originally thought I wanted Chemical X, but the more swatches I see the more I think I can dupe it with a black creme/jelly and Everything Taco! All the others in this set I think I would have a hard time duping
ahh sadly don’t have Everything Taco to try to recreate Chem X, my guess is that you def get the similar vibe~ of the polish but the flakies are MUCH larger in this collection lol. i think the easier ones to dupe are Blossom and FoE, but it would be tedious with layering 😅 i’m thinking for Blossom maybe ILNP Pink Slush for the base, HT Sonic US and maybe ILNP Lovebird for the blue and red flakes which i think can also be used in FoE but with a combo of Cirque’s Poppy and XOXO for the base 🤔 that again would give you the general colors, but the flakes are smaller in HT/ILNP!

i actually don’t have Everything Taco! but I would guess they’re not that similar since the flakes in mooncat are SO much bigger lol but definitely a similar vibe when it comes to the rainbow + black combo!

I got the whole box even though I think I have s couple similar shades from other brands (from HHC and PPU), but the flakes on these colours look different enough for me to justify it. I was also expecting a nail file or something besides polishes and stickers, but I sill love the collection. I am also Bubbles (with some Blossom tendencies lol).

I grew up with the PPG! Bubbles is my favorite character but I don’t like her shade. Those lime circles in the polish are kinda blah and too much for me. The Sea Between Us definitely makes me think in Bubbles, I already have something accurate that represent her better in my head. I’m definitely like bubbles too.
However, I’m obsessed with the Mojo Jojo shade and how subtle those black flakies look. I think the shimmer makes it extra special. I definitely gonna her that one.
I also liked the shades inspired in Blossom and HIM. They look so juicy. I’ll get those too.

I was thinking of chemical X but then looked in my collection and I have a navy blue version of it from PFD As I build to my nail hobby im learning that I dont 100% dislike flakes I just need to determine the ones I dont like on me personally and the names. hmm I’m not sure if i’ve used a polish with mylar flakes before.. most are easy to remove but i can see the larger ones being more tedious. but not as difficult as glitter polishes imo!

My 7 year old son loves them to (ofc I had to turn him on to them) Both of our favorites are Bubbles amd Mojo Jojo 🤩 my 2 besties and me dressed up as them for Halloween many years ago and it was my favorite costume EVER!! I was Bubbles ofc 🩵🩵🩵 but it worked out so well bc I have blonde hair, one of them had short black hair and the other had chestnut auburn hair so it was meant to be 😊

These are super beautiful, but I am a little apprehensive shopping from Mooncat at the moment due to all the stories of bottles spontaneously breaking at rest due to (speculation) the new seam in the side being a fault line. I hope we get more clarity in the future on whether they'll find a different bottle supplier as the new bottles are thinner than they used to be, as well. It's very expensive shopping Mooncat from Europe, so I'd rather not chance it until I can see that the bottle has changed.
i’ve seen a lot of those posts recently on reddit too! the seam isn’t new though, it’s in polishes as old as last summer, so my guess is it was just a bad batch of bottles which still sucks 😵💫 and i’m guessing they place huge bulk orders which is why we saw it happen more recently/frequently.
for what its worth (I assume everyone else’s packaging for this collection would be similar to mine) the collection box comes wrapped in a giant bubble sleeve almost? like its thicker than just bubble wrap lol so its very secure and protected, but i definitely do understand the apprehension if you’re not ordering the full collection. i’ve heard mooncat doesn’t send replacement bottles to international customers, only refunds :/ I think i saw them address the issue about the bottles too but yeah it likely will take some time before we stop hearing about broken bottles

Skipped the box because of the stickers. Too old for them and wouldn’t have anyone to give them to. Would have liked to see a cute tool instead but I love jelly polish so the colored were right up my alley
I'm disappointed that one cannot buy all of them as a set without the limited edition box. That's a new development. They usually have that option with a discount. The blue one is the one that surprised me. Seeing it on the sneak looks on Instagram, I didn't like it. But seeing you swatch it, I can see more detail to it. Never heard of Power Puff until this as I am not a spring chicken LOL. I think I was in my 40s when they came out.
Probably no discount because it's a collab, and they have to respect the contract and such! I just bought them all without the box, I love the colors but I don't care for the box or stickers

As others have stated, they might do the whole set for ease of ordering once the box is sold out but I don’t recall seeing the discount applied. During their sales I’ve seen a disclaimer that any collaborations are exempt from the sale. Just don’t want you to possibly miss out! 😺

those blues are sooo good lol! but yeah these flakes are a lot larger so i can see them being off putting to people already on the fence about flakes 🤣 but its still a win if you skip, you basically saved $100!

I really like your videos and comparisons. But I couldn’t help feeling betrayed because you did not include other brands in your comparisons. Especially some colors did not have anything remotely similar in mooncat collection and what you put next to them looked ridiculous. I am sure you could find something better / much more similar to those from your collection and you would have included them if this was not a sponsored video. Don’t get me wrong, I am not blaiming you for this but the mooncat because probably this is what they wanted and it is your job. But we care about these videos because they are different and more genuine than brand promotion videos. This takes away from the genuineness imho and makes the video less convincing to buy their product at the end. I hope they read this. Thank you for the video regardless.
i totally hear you! for what it’s worth I actually didn’t have any other flakie polishes in my collection that would be comparable to these; I did end up sharing two additional comparisons to my instagram stories/Comparisons highlight, one of which was a Cirque polish, but even that wasn’t similar in my opinion 😅 like you said, I unfortunately can’t do much since this was their request for the sponsored video, but I am at least able to share comparisons to other brands on my stories afterwards. even for potential recreations, i got a few comments suggesting HT’s Everything Taco over black for Chemical X, but I don’t even have Everything Taco 🙈 I’m sorry it was frustrating though, I obviously never want to come across as disingenuous. maybe next time I can leave a pinned comment linking to my stories/highlight if i do happen to have better comparisons from my collection, but this was just one of the rare times I didn’t.

I'd want to see Chemical X beside Starrily's Planet X. I have the latter and wasn't necessarily wowed by it. The black is ever so slightly too opaque and so it's just kinda murky. None of the flakies can sing. It ends up looking better in the bottle than on the nail. I wouldn't want to buy the same thing again when I could just throw Everything Taco on top of Planet X instead 😂🫣
ahh I don’t have that one but I can see what you mean where the base almost swallows up some of those flakies. i think the flakes in Chemical X are much more prominent so they really shine against the sheer black jelly base imo. I also sadly don’t have Everything Taco but would think those flakes are similar in size to Planet X more so than Chemical X if that helps!
