Can I take a second to absolutely rave about ILNP's customer service? I ordered the Coven collection at the beginning of October, and after a couple of weeks, it had not arrived. I contacted them to inquire, and discovered that I had failed to update my address after moving this summer, and the package had been sent to my old address, but after the time the Post Office would forward it. It was entirely my fault, and I didn't ask them to do anything about it because it wasn't their responsibility. Do you know they re-sent me the collection to my new address? I could not believe it. It was such a kind and generous thing to do, and I was so, so grateful. Devoted ILNP fan for life over here.
One area of ILNP not mentioned in this video is their toppers. The shimmer toppers still allow the base polish to shine and meld with the shimmer. The metallic foil (especially Compass) toppers add a dainty sophistication to any manicure. My favorite are the multichrome flake toppers. Anyone who wants to create unique looks should grab a few.
So true! Their toppers aren’t front and center; they’re kind of hidden but really good! Lovebird, Love triangle, and Wonderland are particularly great!
So grateful for this; obviously, today is a hard day for everyone, but also, not to get too into it, but for two weeks now I’ve been in the middle of a family emergency, and your videos have been so comforting and rejuvenating to me; I’ve been watching them on repeat!
aw i’m so sorry to hear about the family emergency, sending all the positive vibes & hugs your way 🫂🫂🫂💞💞💞 it means so much i could provide some comfort 🥹💕
Oh, how I love ILNP! My favorite aspect of the brand is how long they keep polishes available on their website. No FOMO, the polish will still be there in a few years. Pyro is on my wishlist for Black Friday as are the remaining Home for the Holidays polishes that I didn’t grab last year. I just hope I don’t panic like I did last Black Friday and completely ignore my list! 😂
I love ILNP for all the reasons you said, my top two are being that they don't partake in FOMO and their price point. Flicker and Chai Latte are two of my favorites that I get compliments every time I wear them. Bishop is another favorite for a pop of color. I really like Bare and Hope for more subdued colors. From your list, Opal Sunset and Mushroom are definitely on my wishlist. Like you, I would love to see them expand their plain jelly palette and switch their brushes. Good info on the metallic foily finish, I never knew that they kind of tarnish over time.
Aspen really is such an ideal example of what ILNP's polishes are usually like to someone just trying the brand. Light and dainty formula that looks tragically sheer and then on my god it's full coverage and beautiful. I'm dying for Flower Child. ILNP sale can't come soon enough! ILNP topcoat!- My friend and I both experienced issues with the topcoat where dipping the brush ended up creating bubble pockets in the polish, so when applying, it ended up transferring to the nail and with would dry down bumpy as the air bubbles popped. I paint my left hand first and that would be fine, but the finally three fingers on my right hand were always tragic and bumpy. So a gentle precaution!
hahah that’s so true! i think bc i’ve been used to it for so long, i forgot what my initial reaction was to trying sheer indies, where i’m questioning if i should ask for a refund lol 🤣 i’m so excited for you to pick up Flower Child!! and ahh that sucks about the topcoat!! idk how i didn’t notice that before, but its good to know 🙏🏼
OMG i love this!!! ❤❤❤❤ ilnp was my "gateway drug" into indies. I have well over 100 of them. They're beautiful, solid collections, amazing price, AMAZING rewards program, never ever had a quality issue. They ship fast & safe to my grabby mits 😁 the only thing i didn't like was the brush. But i replaced mine w/ cupcake rounded brushes. 👌 even the pastels go on like butter now. Imo they are 1 brush change away from total domination 😁
They are amazing right!! I totally forgot about their rewards program too! But yes totally agree their brush change will truly make them THE top brand 🤩
Oh, same. A couple of years ago I *really* wanted a dark, chocolate brown nail polish and in my googling, stumbled upon Dash of Cocoa. Fell in love with ILNP pretty much instantly. And yeah, the brushes are the only thing I don't like.
I 💯agree that ILNP is my all-time favorite brand! They have the best selection, beautiful collections, and great price point. They also have reward points for reviews and new release discounts the first week of launch. The customer service is fantastic as well. I highly recommend this brand, always!!! 🥰😍😘
Everytime I see swatch reviews of Pyro I am blown away!!! I don't think the stock photos on their website even come close to showing how unique and beautiful it is. I don't own anything from ILNP as of yet (gotta save up for that international shipping...) but Pyro has really made me want to give them a try!
off yeah ILNP has such a high free shipping threshold for international customers 😓 idk if you’re in their FB group or subreddit, but sometimes i see people saying they’re from X country and looking for others to make a bulk order to save on shipping! so maybe thats worth a shot 🤞🏼
Needed this today :') I shockingly don't have any ILNP yet, but they're how I found out about indie polish in the first place 😅 my brother bought their halloween collection a few years ago and I fell in love, and then discovered so many brands! I'm excited to finally have some for myself!
Happy I could bring some joy today 🥹 and that’s too funny! I’m glad you’ll be adding some to your collection soon enough hehe what’s on the top of your wishlist??
Such an amazing video again!! I love your honesty, every time! Thank you❤ For people who are not a fan of jellies (like me), almost all ILNP polishes also look spectacular with a cream polish underneath. With a lot of ILNP colors that I own, I use a matching cream polish underneath (mostly Essie because their color range is huge), and you don't have that sheer look, and still looks amazing, some even better in my opinion, like Rainy days looks so much better with a coat of Essie's Air Dry underneath. For Aspen I use Essie's Good impression underneath and it darkens the color a little, but is still gorgeous. Hidden path is a ILNP jelly, but if you combine this with Essie's Playing Koi, the outcome is so much better (for non-jelly lovers of course;)) I hope this helps anyone that isn't a fan of sheer colors, you can buy every ILNP if you don't mind finding/buying a cream polish with it☺️
I love ILNP. Great quality and fair prices. I love the sheer and shimmery finishes. I appreciate that the magnetics look great unmagnetized. Sometimes I can’t be bothered to magnetize. I appreciate the fact they have continued with a great catalogue. I hope they do more jelly polishes as well. I think we share the same favourites. 😂
Yes that’s a great point on their magnetics too! And yes their extended catalogue is amazing, though maybe overwhelming too when you’re just trying to browse 😝 I’m glad we have so many favorites!!
ILNP kickstarted my love for boutique and indie polishes, so they will always have a place in my 💖 Great intro polish with lots of finishes, styles, and colors for everyone, great price point, and I love that they have healthy stock, no fomo --- it really has become my fave brand, with some of my fave collections. I even got a not-really-into-polish relative curious about ILNP, so I find that my one success this year, lol I usually make a b-day order every year w/ them, but I hope I can squeeze in a BF one and you had a couple on the wishlist (Aspen, Pink Slush) and might have added a couple more to that list 🤭 And oh I love love love their scattered jelly holos too and their shimmers --- Flower Child soared to be my #1 fave from them, the glow on it is incredible w/ layering possibilities being endless.
I love ILNP. I wonder if they're waiting until they use up their skimpy brushes to switch over. As a boutique brand, they probably work hard to keep prices down and not being wasteful is one way to do that. 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, love them and grateful for this video, really needing content like this right now. ❤
i've been perfecting my black friday wishlist for almost a month this is the perfect video!! i love ilnp so much they have beautiful formulas. thanks for the video!
@@PolishedYogi i already have shooting star and aspen so i'm glad you're confirming my good taste lol. other than that i have fairy dust (since ive heard sooo much about it) and amber! i had flower child at one point and removed it but i think you're swaying me to add it back... i'm gonna see if i decide to add pink lemonade, the base coat or something from the overcast collection on your recommendation! i'll definitely watch a wishlist video if you make one :)
First time I saw an ILNP brand was on Amazon. It was a shimmery polish and I’d never spent $10 for a polish, so I looked for a good while before jumping in and buying some of their polishes. Some were very sheer so I wasn’t happy, the description either didn’t say that or I didn’t read it but some of the others were great and I loved them! Then some of them didn’t last long on me 🙁 Not all of them but some. So that was frustrating. But I am very rough on my nails, very so I try to use the ones that do actually last longer on my nails. They do have beautiful polishes!
My low buy is open to ILNP for Black Friday and maaaaaybe one or two other brands so hooray! 🎉 Thank you for all the work lutting this video together. I appreciate you! 😊
Thank you so much for all your videos Stephanie, I appreciate you so much! Have to disagree about Sandbar though. I have nearly 300 ILNP polishes as they are my favourite brand too, and Sandbar is in my top 10. It's so gorgeous and you can wear it so many different ways as it has the buildable coats (and different magnetic techniques). Yes, it needs 5 coats to be opaque, but the sheerness makes it more beautiful to me.
of course! so glad you enjoyed :) and ahh i know soo many people love Sandbar 🙈 i do think it looks really elegant applied with no effect! but yeah anything more than 3 coats is too much for me 😅
Oooh I love your top! I’m such a fan of black (and/or navy) & white stripes! French girl vibes 💋 I adore ILNP! I discovered them from you of course! So many of my favs. Great formulas, good price point, variety of finishes. What is not to love??? I have By Nightfall, Pyro, and Ritual on my BF wishlist.
Thank you Janet!! Me tooo, I have a summer sleeveless version of this shirt haha so pretty! Definitely get French girl vibes with the 3/4 length sleeve too 🥰 I will forever love that I introduced you to ilnp!! Truly the BEST 😍 and you know I love their themed collections soo so much too. I’m so glad those are on your wishlist! Would love to know what else you’re eyeing 👀
WeLNP! I cannot believe you didn't include any of the Harvest collection :O but there's so many good polishes to pick from. I bought Olive Grove in September and keep going back to it despite having so many fall shades I also want to wear! Other favorites of mine include Moondust, Shooting Star, Flashing Lights, and Annabelle. I foresee Aspen, Pyro, Flicker, and Rosalie being part of a black friday order (do I need both Flicker and Pyro?? Probably not but I forgot to include Flicker in my Sept order (always check the wishlist!!!) and then they released Pyro and now I need both...) Appreciate you calling out the brushes though. That's my biggest gripe with them! One thing you didn't mention that I like about them is 0 limited edition polishes. I get limited edition is a way to experiment with difficult to source pigments (as explained by Cristine of Holo Taco) but the ILNP shades you use in comparisons never have the coffin next to them. No limited editions but they still deliver great formulas.
I got shapeshifter from your fall favorites video. Shooting star is gorgeous. I love Lured, Bitten and the Confetti topper. There are so many great ones. I tend to love whole collections from them with them same finish in different colors.
Omg yes they have such cute toppers too!! Confetti is def one of my favorites 🌈✨ and yess those kind of collections are so fun, I really appreciate that they alternate between same finish and mixed finish collections!
I adore Flower Child and Opal. As for the magnetics, I’m a huge fan of Shooting Star, Flashing Lights, and Ritual. The black and white creams are incredibly great, and I’ve been searching for a fantastic white nail polish. Honeymoon is stunning, and Spiced Cider is gorgeous. I’ll have to try Hidden Path. I love Shape Shifter and Wow Pink Lemonaid is so pretty. Now I have a pretty huge wish list lol 😆 Great video Stefanie ✨🩷💅
Great video - so helpful! I particularly appreciated how you grouped the polishes by finish, rather than showing them in rainbow order. It gives a good sense of ILNP's formula for each finish. Combined with your meticulously detailed description ❤, this video is now my go-to ILNP reference source for when I'm considering trying new finishes from them. Thank you!
I have Rosalie and Countryside on my nails right now-you are so right. The entire collection was great. ILNP just does not miss with their scattered glitter jellies. They really don’t miss at all.😭 Price, quality, variety, customer service? 10/10.
Wow! Thank you for the thorough review! I’ve had a couple of these saved in my cart and now I want to buy them! 😂 You really inspired me! I’m off to paint my nails!! 💅🏻 🤭
I'm in love with ILNP shimmers, Bluebell is what got me to make my first ILNP purchase. I saw it and HAD to have it. I also got Flower Child and the first time I wore it, I literally gasped when I saw the blue shine in the light. I felt like my nails were glowing. I'm an ILNP fan for life now. Also picked up Shooting Star because I thought it was one of the most gorgeous magnetics I've seen yet. The first time I wore it my mom saw it and decided she needed to buy it too lol so now she's also an ILNP fan and we can wear our matching manis. 💅
I basically only use ILNP and Mooncat. ILNP has such a cohesive, dainty, delicate and sheer collections. Their rewards programs are amazing and very fair. This year there are 4 collections I want to buy. This is the only brand that makes me feel that.
Definitely the Forecast Collection. I can’t wait to enjoy it this winter. The Velvet collection, but only 4 colors. The electric summer collection- all of them. I’m going to complete my summer Nights collection. I loved your review. I won’t get pink flamingo because it’s very similar like Pixie Party. I’m completing my Golden hour collection. Also gonna complete the Harvest collection, except for Hay ride and I already have Autum. I’m including blue bell and flower child as well. My wishlist is BIG and I’m planning to do a lot of skittles with ILNP this upcoming year because their collections are so so COHESIVE.
I picked Aspen and Snowstorm because of your review at the beginning of the year and they are so gorgeous!😍 Love ILNP, definitely my favourite boutique brand! And an extra bonus for them that they keep polishes in stock for a very long time.
Pyro is lovely, Shapeshifter is gorgeous as is Pink lemonade. I can see why all the others are your favourites, Stephanie, but these polishes just don't flatter my skin tone. As a curated collection, I really appreciate your selections, and have added my faves to my wish list. Thankyou as always for your excellent swatches and your very helpful thoughts and comments. ❤ P S love your top!
Aw yeah I know that can be annoying when you don’t like how a polish looks on you or it’s unflattering! 😓 but I’m glad you enjoyed my picks 💞 and thanks so much!! 🥰
Soo many pretty watches omg!! 😍 ILNP is most definitely my favorite brand as well. My favorites would be: - Flower Child (most beautiful glow I have EVER seen!) - Up Above (or Pitter Patter, honestly both) - Sundress - Pixie Party - Elsa Out of your favorites I think I will have to buy Spiced Cider soon, I don't know how I missed that one, because I adore warm browns. Also thank you for speaking about their polishes changing colors over time- it has happened to me as well and I've NEVER seen anyone else talk about it. For me "The Harpist" went from a light gold to a deep, muddy bronze unfortunately. Another one, which is interestingly not a foily metallic, was Black Orchid. Originally a gorgeous deep purple, and mine turned into a mid-tone mauve, lol.
I love ILNP too. I almost never buy whole collections but I bought Overcast and the velvet one from ILNP and I’m really happy with them. Pink slush has been on my Black Friday list for a while but this is great for some other ideas too. Definitely aspen!!
omg the Overcast collection was SO good! though i know a lot of people didn’t love Daybreak 😅 i def am a sucker for a lot of their full collections but totally understand only grabbing a few from each! i’m soo excited you’ll be getting Pink Slush!! 😍😍 and aspen, such great shades!! 😁✨
ILNP is one of my favorite brands, absolutely love them. I will kinda agree with the metallics, my bottle of private reserve got tarnished with the flakies becoming weak and the base turning sheer. My first Mirage bottle didn't tarnish thankfully, and that was because I used it every so often, so hopefully my new Mirage and Juliette wouldn't tarnish if I'm going to be using them a lot. I love gold and rose gold polishes.
Aw I’m sorry that happened to your bottle of Private Reserve! Yeah I think as long as you use them often you shouldn’t worry about tarnishing. I picked up a bottle of Dream Girl last BF that still looks good, so I’m hoping it lasts a while longer! 🤞🏼
Will you be doing these review videos for other brands in lead up to black friday? if you could do a video of indie polishes in general I’d love that!!
My November schedule is currently packed so I don’t think I’ll have time to do a video for other indies 💔 I also don’t regularly shop from a lot of them anymore to have enough for a video BUT I will say in general I think PFD and Rogue are excellent choices for flakies, Lurid and Kathleen & Co. for shimmers, Night Owl & Potion Polish for fall vibes~ word of warning against LynB, they look like they have a ton of beautiful shimmers but a lotttt of people have talked about getting polishes that look nothing like the photos 😓 I’ve liked the few I’ve tried from them and they have tempting 50% sales almost every month, but their customer service historically isn’t the best. I hope that helps !! 🫶🏼
Just added 3 more to my ILNP wishlist! My current favorites are Caesar and anything from the Harvest Collection. My only disappointment has been Sugar High. The speckles are so tiny and don’t make enough impact.
so exciting!! omg yeah Harvest is a given 🤩 and ahh yeah i honestly forgot how much i don’t love their speckled polishes, funny enough i did like Sugar High 😅 but totally get what you mean about them being tiny and not making an impact. it might be my least favorite finish from them, but i think they’re cute on others!
Must Have Shooting Star ... No. 1 Choice !!!! Maybe also Flower Child, Pyro, By Nightfall, Flashing Lights, Ritual, Canvas, Ink, Aspen, Snowstorm, Pitter Patter ... So Many!
So excited to see this video pop up. Trying to narrow down my BF wishlist for ILNP. I love pigmented magnetics too. Just added Shooting Star, Canvas and Ink thanks to your recommendation. Appreciate seeing the swatches and hearing your thoughts about the polishes😊
ILNP is the top of the top! I’d personally add: Crème- Bottoms Up & Turbocharged Scattered- Reign Linear- Love Language Chrome - Birefringence Jelly- Euphoria Flakie- Thundercloud You could say that ILILNP haha
I just got to this, work has been a lot. I have Bulletproof Symphony and it’s now dark silver, not blue. I have several of the metallics that have done this. Which makes me sad bc some of them were great shades. Anyway, I definitely loved this, took a few recs as ILNP is one on my bf shopping sites. Aspen, Pink Slush & Flower Child I’m getting. I’d never noticed Aspen, but now I want it & Reign.
aw sorry work has been hectic lately! hoping you can rest over the weekend 🫶🏼 and ugh yeah such a shame about Bulletproof Symphony, it looks so beautiful from the original swatch photos! i wish these specific metallic finishes were more stable 😢 i’m glad you’re interested in those shades though, Reign is another great one! I should’ve included it in my recent vid on favorite greys, its so dark and moody 🩶
ILNP is my absolute favorite! I stopped buying other brands as IMO, they have the best, quality formulas. I love that they have something for everyone.
ILNP was my first indie purchase and I'm still in love with the brand. Another magnetic that I ADORE is Deep Space, the black base is just so rich and the green/purple magnetic pigment is beautiful, plus it has some holo sparkles in it! I'm surprised you didn't mention any of their multichromes because I think ILNP is THE best brand for multichromes, they're so smooth, minimal brush strokes showing and super shiny. Cygnus Loop, Shockwave and Eclipse are some of my favourites. Totally agree about the brushes though, they're my least favourite out of all indie brands I have 😅
I was on the fence about Teddy. It is now added to cart 😂 and several others. I love blues and this video was perfect for figuring out which ones I like.
Yay!! It’s such a pretty shade, I do wish it was a smidge less jelly but with the velvet effect it’s not as noticeable. Yay for also being a blue lover!!
I'm only placing 1 black friday order this year and ILNP is it! After this video I might just have to add Flower Child to my wishlist. Gotta buy enough to get free shipping!
yayyy love that!! ILNP would def be my largest BF order too haha. i think they were last year, and probably will be this year too 😝 yess i also always build up my wishlist to get free shipping too!! i’m sure you’ll loveee Flower Child 🤩🌸🩵
@@PolishedYogi definitely picking up spiced cider, ritual, timber, and velveteen. I’m debating just picking up the entire Home for the Holidays collection because the color story speaks to me, but that does seem like a bit over the top so idk.
Thank you so much for this video and your swatches! I'm new to the nail polish community and I'm looking at some of the ILNP polishes and Halo Taco ones and your videos have helped so much! Also, can I just ask what you're wearing on your lips? The colour is so pretty :)
Aw I’m so glad this was helpful!! I know it can be overwhelming when they have soo much on their website, esp ILNP since they rarely retire polishes 😅 but aw thank you! I’m wearing Milani Naturally Chic ☺️
My ILNP wishlist for Black Friday is so big this year! I agree about ILNP's formula. It is thinner, but in a good way! I'm typically not a fan of sheer polishes or VNL and I sometimes need 4 coats with some of their finishes to get it opaque, but it is incredibly easy and quick to apply. I would like to try their more opaque creams - do you think they are generally opaque enough for nail art or reverse stamping purposes?
i’m glad you agree!! and hmm i don’t have experience with reverse stamping, but i do think the more opaque cremes would work well for nail art. the problem is just finding out which ones are more opaque 😅 from my experience/memory, the Poolside collection had great pigmentation and coverage. the Fall Serenade bundle last year was a little more on the crelly side on the first coat but since most of those were dark i think they could~ work too!
@@PolishedYogithank you for the info! I ask because I remember from your swatching videos that the cream opacity seemed to be a little inconsistent. I'll definitely go back and watch the videos for the collections you mentioned 🙂
ILNP is my favorite Polish line. If there is an indie polish I like, I can probably find it in ILNP. You didn’t mention their toppers. My absolute favorite toppers. Shimmers, flakies and micro glitter ones. They are fabulous
omg yes thats also kind of my first thought too when seeing other indies, i wonder if ILNP has something like it 🤣 and ahh you’re so right i completely forgot to mention their toppers! i only have like 3-4 of the metallic flakies in my collection, and i do really enjoy those!! the others look gorgeous too 🤩
Love these! I have most of these already but definitely giving me some gift ideas 😊 Also, I wish ILNP would just release all the jelly bases they have as polishes! I want jelly polishes with no glitter or flakies already 😂 They have some of the most beautiful jelly bases for their polishes.
Yes matte top coats that are really truly mattifying!! 👏👏 I have too many bottles of matte top coat (including the ILNP one), but I must say that so far I haven't come across another one that's truly as mattifying as the one from Canmake Tokyo. That brand as a whole isn't even that exciting, but geez they sure did make one super matte top coat lol. OMG the tarnished foil metallic flakies!! It's just so sad at how truly fast those tarnish despite the cost of purchasing them.😭 I feel like even with thermals I get a solid 2 years out of them at least. Hopefully there's some amazing chemist in the future whom can find a way to stabilize the formula to stop it from happening. Does anyone have any experience of the metallic flakies from I Scream Nails?
I always glazed over three colors you highlighted when in the ILNP site. I figure they are more stunning in person versus in marketing photos. I will cave and get pitter patter, shapeshifter, and spiced cider this Black Friday 😂
Omg it’s so funny bc I love their marketing photos! 🤣 if anything I hate looking at them out of fear it won’t live up to it irl lol. But I’m glad I convinced you on those 3!! I truly hope you love those as much as I do 🥹🤩✨✨
I'm so glad ILNP rarely discontinues polishes. I'd love Pyro, Aspen, and Spiced Cider, I don't have anything remotely similar in my storage. But I won't have money to spend on anything but the absolute necessary bills until close to December.
yeah they’re great for how extensive their catalogue is!! definitely no rush to order, the only ‘fomo’ around them is having one sale per year but idk they’re so affordable already! maybe you can ask for an ILNP giftcard for the holidays if you celebrate :)
I love all the darker shades but I’m not a fan of sheer polish. They look great on you perfect nail gals. Unfortunately I’m not one of you. I own 4 ILNP polishes including Canvas. It’s the best white polish I’ve tried. Do you remember the polish called Up Above? That was my first one and I loved it. It was also my first experience with a crelly so it was probably user error but I used it up so quickly. I do agree their customer service is awesome. Thank you for another great video in this series. I’m going to rewatch tomorrow and take notes. Tfs!❤
Omg yes i adore Up Above!! 🥹 I’ve heard a few people have issues with the formula on that one specifically being patchy though :/ so I wonder if that was your issue? I’m glad you loved it regardless though!! So glad you enjoyed this !! Would love to know what you add onto your wishlist 😁
I have Rosalie, Cookie Cutter, and Aspen. Funny enough, I hadn't even gotten a recommendation for Aspen. I just thought it looked gorgeous on the site. Haven't tried any of them yet, but I'm especially excited for Rosalie!
so exciting! Cookie Cutter is cute too, i especially love the name 🥹 and thats too funny, i feel like Aspen is almost on par with Eclipse for “polishes you need to try” 🤣 i do hope you’ll love it!! Rosalie is sooo pretty 🥹
I am really new to nailpolish. I ordered holo taco in the beginning of the year and now I want to order Mooncat for the sale. ILNP unfortunately has such a high free shipping amount… Do they sell out fast? I really enjoy your videos and they inspire me 😌
aw are you international? they do have a really high free shipping threshold which sucks, i don’t know why its so high compared to other brands.. but no ILNP rarely sells out! i don’t think i’ve ever seen a shade sell out before even though they are super popular, they somehow always have stock lol. and they don’t do LE releases either so theres definitely no rush to order!
Very interested in Spiced Cider and Shapeshifter! But I don’t think I need two brown special finish nail polishes… what would you say is the difference between them?
i hear you! color wise Shapeshifter is more of a darker true brown, with a slight red undertone that warms it up a bit while Spiced Cider reads more orangey-brown. finish wise, the gold iridescent flakies glow in Shapeshifter while the silver micro holo flakie in Spiced Cider gives it a more dainty sparkle. between the two i think i would pick Shapeshifter! or if you want a combo of the dark brown but with dainty holo, you might like Bear Hug :) i hope that helps!!
Very interesting that ILNP base coat was compared to Orly's Bonder. I've never tried ILNP's, but I've recently did Orly and I was immediately reminded to those days when my mani was not making to the day3 without chipping. Using Orly's Bonder base coat and their fast drying top coat (I forgot the name, but it gave me very basic shine, almost satiny) my nail ends looked rubbed by the end of day 2 and on day 3 I got a chip, following 3 more chipped nails by the end of day 3. I am using now OPI base coat and Cuticula base and speed dry top coats and the latter has been sooo amazing that it made me forget the chipping. I get bored with the polish now faster than my mani looses its shape :) So my experience with Orly was very unfortunate.
Yeah when I was browsing Reddit I came across a comment saying the formulas were exactly the same? And so they’re speculating it’s white labeling Orly’s Bonder 🤔 idk how true that is but yeah, this PVB ingredient still seems to be the culprit according to a decent amount of people! That’s so annoying you had a bad experience with that & the Orly topcoat though😫 I don’t think I’ve ever tried orlys base or top coats either. But yay for having great results with Cuticula! I’ve tried their mic drop base which I really love, but have yet to try their Limitless topcoat. Considering it for BF even though I don’t really need another topcoat lol 🙈
My only ILNP is Park Ave (deep green linear holo), and while it’s a great polish, it was my first bottle of linear holo and I just don’t like the finish! I much prefer scattered holo, and I think that experience has made me write off ILNP even though I shouldn’t!
I’m also gonna be picking up Eclipse during BF!! I think value wise ILNP is def the better option, but Mooncat def has some beautiful magnetics too so I get being torn 😅
I'm still putting off buying ILNP because they don't have flat paddle brushes. I see so many polishes of theirs that I would love to have in my collection but I refuse to accept those ugly brushes haha! I'll only put up with those slightly chunky rectangular brushes from Night Owl Lacquer
i heard Cupcake Polish has replacement brushes that fit into ILNP, but its definitely annoying to have to switch with a 3rd party brand. and doesn’t NOL also sell replacement brushes? i don’t like their default brushes either, i find them worse than ILNP 😫
I love all ILNP polishes I own, but the brushes KILL me. I promised myself to only buy again once they switch to paddle brushes but I might cave and pick up a few during the next sale.
i really would be surprised to see those tarnish, they dont have the larger foily metallic flakes that cause it like in their other shades i mentioned!
Cirque's PR team has been pretty terrible for years and has soured a lot of people from the brand because the seem pretty unrepentant about it. There's 2 big ones I can think of, but I've read plenty of individual complaints in comments sections
1) Their Lucky Bags containing multiple of the same polish. It's one thing if you buy multiple surprise boxes and they are all the same, quite another if you just buy one and *still* end up with dupes. It makes a customer feel like Cirque's trashcan. I know they did that at least two years in a row, so it's not like they learned their lesson about how it makes the customer feel; they just put fine print on their website to absolve themselves of any "wrongdoing." 2) Recently, during their Jarritos polish collab, they edited a swatch from someone on Instagram to make it look like their yellow jelly polish was more different from another one of their yellows. So false advertising. Cirque then tried to say that they did some "slight adjustments" to the photo to account for the influencers lighting, but Stephanie had the same results in her Cirque comparisons AND they didn't get permission from the original poster to edit. Also, since this is an ILNP video, I will say that their reward points don't expire. Cirque's reward points expire after a year. I usually bulk buy polish on brands once a year to give as gifts, seeing all my points were already gone was a real downer. Yeah, shame on me for not paying attention, but I'd rather shop at a place that I don't have to worry about that so I went to ILNP instead. There's just a lot of bad faith practices going around with Cirque, and with their pricing they need brand loyalty. Mooncat's is steep too, but I hear zero complaints about customer service. If a brand messes up once, then whatever, maybe that PR person needs to be fired or shifted to another role. But it's been going on for years, so I think most creators feel like whoever is in charge really don't respect their customers, or the creators who swatch for them. As for me, I'll probably still buy an occasional polish from them, but I would never recommend them to anyone. I mean, Cirque's nail oil is twice the price as Rogue Lacquers. I'd much rather send someone to Rogue and save them money.
Basically what these other comments mention, and if you have time look them up on Reddit to read more 😵💫 I know me & a few others still make videos on Cirque, I can’t speak for others but I at least want to do my best in presenting the polishes as accurately as I can since their own photos can’t be trusted.
@ possibly, the wear time has always been great with their base coat until the peeling happened, then I switched to Kb Shimmer sticky base coat and it’s somehow long wearing and not as peel inducing?
i personally don’t think daily is too much for nail polish obsessed people like us, its actually somewhat common! 4-5 days is what i considered wearing my mani for a long time, which i don’t do often.
I only have 8 ILNP polishes and seriously love them all, like I wish I could keep buying more! But since they don't do any limited edition releases, I don't feel pressured to purchase from them and end up spending my money on LE releases from other brands like Mooncat and Cirque instead 🥲 I'm hoping to finally buy some more polishes from them this Black Friday!
yeah i totally get you on prioritizing other brands! i feel like its been a while since Mooncat did anything LE though, i know a few years ago they did these single polish LE releases every few months but now i believe LE is just for collabs. cirque on the other hand… 🫠 i would do the same though, make a bigger wishlist for ILNP’s BF sale!
I love that so much!! They really go above and beyond 🙌🏼💖
This is what i needed today. Time to paint some nails!
Happy I could be a positive distraction 🥹💅🏻✨
ILNP was an instant fav brand for me too. Their formulas are just so good and so consistent
Literally!! They’re sooo good 🤩
One area of ILNP not mentioned in this video is their toppers.
The no FOMO thing is why I love them so much as well! If I get compliments on my polish, I can actually recommend it because it's still available :)
Agree; their shopping experience, and marketing is just so classy!!
@adinaholmes5269 omg dash of cocoa is so good!! I need to wear it now!
ILNP also a massive favourite for me!
Yay they’re the best!!
I plan on making a big ILNP purchase this BF and it’s my first so I really appreciate this video!
Yay! You’re going to love it!! 🤩 let me know what’s on your wishlist!
I 💯agree that ILNP is my all-time favorite brand! They have the best selection, beautiful collections, and great price point. They also have reward points for reviews and new release discounts the first week of launch. The customer service is fantastic as well. I highly recommend this brand, always!!! 🥰😍😘
Couldn’t agree more!! I wish I remembered to talk about their rewards program too 🙈 but yes the pre-order discount is awesome!!
Thank you❤
For people who are not a fan of jellies (like me), almost all ILNP polishes also look spectacular with a cream polish underneath. Hidden path is a ILNP jelly, but if you combine this with Essie's Playing Koi, the outcome is so much better (for non-jelly lovers of course;))
I hope this helps anyone that isn't a fan of sheer colors, you can buy every ILNP if you don't mind finding/buying a cream polish with it☺️
❤❤❤ I have an ILNP collection that grows by the month and rivals all other brands. 😅 Thanks for the IRL on these!
Hey there, gorgeous! Your shirt accentuates your beautiful blue eyes! I’m a huge fan of ILNP, and it’s my favorite too. 🩷✨💅
You’re too kind, thank you!! 🥹🥹🥰 glad you also love ILNP! 💖
My faves:
Flower Child (😮💨😮💨😮💨),
Opal Sunset (😮💨😮💨),
Pyro (😮💨😮💨),
Teddy,
Ink,
Canvas,
Mushroom (not remotely prugly-it’s pretty!)
Pink Slush (😮💨😮💨),
Rosalie,
Spiced Cider (😮💨),
Aspen,
Shapeshifter (😮💨😮💨)
Pink Lemonade (😮💨😮💨),
Pitter Patter (😮💨),
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Iove seeing you talk about your collection!
You looked lovely as usual 🌺
I love ILNP. I wonder if they're waiting until they use up their skimpy brushes to switch over. As a boutique brand, they probably work hard to keep prices down and not being wasteful is one way to do that. 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, love them and grateful for this video, really needing content like this right now. ❤
thank you for the video today. i'll def watch this before making my next ILNP purchase
I'm so glad I could help!! 🥰
i've been perfecting my black friday wishlist for almost a month this is the perfect video!! i love ilnp so much they have beautiful formulas. thanks for the video!
Omg what’s on your wishlist??? I should’ve talked about mine but that’ll be for a future vid 😝 I’m glad this could help though!!
Haha yayy that’s exciting!! I def would prioritize Ilnp too 🤩 and aw thank you 🥰🫶🏼
Thank you so much for all your videos Stephanie, I appreciate you so much!
French girl vibes 💋
I adore ILNP!
Definitely get French girl vibes with the 3/4 length sleeve too 🥰
I will forever love that I introduced you to ilnp!!
Probably not but I forgot to include Flicker in my Sept order (always check the wishlist!!!) and then they released Pyro and now I need both...)
Appreciate you calling out the brushes though.
Haha I’m so glad you loved so many of these!! They really are such pretty polishes 🤩🤩🤩 would love to know what makes the final cut 😝
Agreed! I really hope they come out with more jellies! Thanks for the recommendations 😊❤
I’m so glad you liked them!! 🥰
I knowww! I seriously think theyre THE BEST brand lol so hard to compete w them! 🤩
Wow! Thank you for the thorough review! I’ve had a couple of these saved in my cart and now I want to buy them! 😂 You really inspired me! I’m off to paint my nails!! 💅🏻 🤭
yay i’m so happy to hear that!! 🤗🤗
Yess I always forget about their rewards program!! So so good. That’s exciting you’re eyeing so many for BF! Which collections?! 🤩
That’s so exciting!! Yayy I’m glad you loved those two 🥰✨ and yes that’s so true too, their extensive catalogue is soo incredible!!
P S love your top!
My favorites would be:
- Flower Child (most beautiful glow I have EVER seen!)
- Up Above (or Pitter Patter, honestly both)
- Sundress
- Pixie Party
- Elsa
Out of your favorites I think I will have to buy Spiced Cider soon, I don't know how I missed that one, because I adore warm browns.
I love so many ILNP polishes but I think my favorites are the Overcast collection and The Harvest collection. They are just the perfect shades to me.
Those are such perfect collections!! Harvest is truly their fall magnum opus lol but Overcast is sooo good 🌧️✨
ILNP is one of my favorite brands, absolutely love them.
My November schedule is currently packed so I don’t think I’ll have time to do a video for other indies 💔 I also don’t regularly shop from a lot of them anymore to have enough for a video BUT I will say in general I think PFD and Rogue are excellent choices for flakies, Lurid and Kathleen & Co. for shimmers, Night Owl & Potion Polish for fall vibes~
word of warning against LynB, they look like they have a ton of beautiful shimmers but a lotttt of people have talked about getting polishes that look nothing like the photos 😓 I’ve liked the few I’ve tried from them and they have tempting 50% sales almost every month, but their customer service historically isn’t the best.
So Many!
haha i’m so glad you loved so many!! they really are all so pretty and you can hardly yo wrong with whatever you choose 😁🤩
Good to know about the tarnishing!
I’d personally add:
Crème- Bottoms Up & Turbocharged
Scattered- Reign
Linear- Love Language
Chrome - Birefringence
Jelly- Euphoria
Flakie- Thundercloud
You could say that ILILNP haha
I just got to this, work has been a lot. I have Bulletproof Symphony and it’s now dark silver, not blue. I have several of the metallics that have done this. Which makes me sad bc some of them were great shades.
Anyway, I definitely loved this, took a few recs as ILNP is one on my bf shopping sites. Aspen, Pink Slush & Flower Child I’m getting. I’d never noticed Aspen, but now I want it & Reign.
aw sorry work has been hectic lately! hoping you can rest over the weekend 🫶🏼 and ugh yeah such a shame about Bulletproof Symphony, it looks so beautiful from the original swatch photos! i wish these specific metallic finishes were more stable 😢
i’m glad you’re interested in those shades though, Reign is another great one! I should’ve included it in my recent vid on favorite greys, its so dark and moody 🩶
ILNP is my absolute favorite! I stopped buying other brands as IMO, they have the best, quality formulas. I love that they have something for everyone.
yeah if i only had to shop from one brand it would definitely be ILNP!
ILNP is on my list for Black Friday indulgences! I can’t wait! TFS!
I can't wait to see what you get! 💕
ILNP is becoming my favorite the more polishes I get from them. I love the holo jelly formula too!!! It’s perfect!!!!
so happy to hear that!! 🥰🥰
Thank you for doing this video, i needed it today
glad I could bring some comfort thru these pretty polishes 🥹🫂
Amen about the brush! I bought replacement brushes from Cupcake polish to make the application easier.
yes i always forget to mention cupcake replacement brushes work! i haven’t tried them myself though 🙈
@ velvet effect is my absolute favorite. ILNPs magnetics I have tried have all velveted beautifully too.
Thanks for sharing your favs from ILNP. I’ve been wanting to try them for a while. I’m even more excited now.
They have such great polishes!! I can’t wait to hear what you think of them ☺️✨
Okay okay okay…. You’ve finally convinced me that I need flowerchild! Lol I’m going to go crazy during their Black Friday sale 🤪
lol yessss you’re gonna love it!! 🤩🌸🩵 would love to know what else you plan to get! 😝
Love the ILNP too! Great line up, some forgotten ones that will definitely be put on the wishlist! Thank you!
Thank you!! 🥰 and yay that’s so exciting! ✨
YES!!! ILNP is my favorite brand too!!! Love this video!!!❤
So happy you loved it!! 🥰🥰
I want jelly polishes with no glitter or flakies already 😂 They have some of the most beautiful jelly bases for their polishes.
omg i knowww, the way i NEED Aspen but as a pure jelly!! 🤯 not to mention so many others lol!
Was waiting for this, planning a big haul! Do you know if they will have a black Friday sale?
they usually do it on Black Friday I believe! i don’t remember for how long, but its been 25% off sitewide for as long as i can remember!
Rosalie is sooo pretty 🥹
love ILNP! they were my first intro to indies! i need to get more lol
i love that!! i feel like they were one of my first boutique brands too, its hard to remember though 🤣
I am really new to nailpolish. I ordered holo taco in the beginning of the year and now I want to order Mooncat for the sale. ILNP unfortunately has such a high free shipping amount…
Do they sell out fast? I really enjoy your videos and they inspire me 😌
aw are you international? they do have a really high free shipping threshold which sucks, i don’t know why its so high compared to other brands.. but no ILNP rarely sells out! i don’t think i’ve ever seen a shade sell out before even though they are super popular, they somehow always have stock lol. and they don’t do LE releases either so theres definitely no rush to order!
I did add a few shades to my wishlist after this video
Yay! So exciting 🥳
I, too, love ILNP! My fave brands are ILNP, MC, and Ethereal.
I get bored with the polish now faster than my mani looses its shape :)
So my experience with Orly was very unfortunate.
🙂 Hi Stephanie..can you do side by side comparison between Cirque Colors Hearth and INLP Rosalie? I'm wondering if the jelly base are the same?
I did that in my Vineyard video! Just check the description for the timestamp ☺️
Debating on Mooncat magnetics or browsing through some of ILNP's polishes to give myself a reason to get Eclipse during their potential BF sale! >_
What is your favorite topcoat? I also prefer a plumper looking, thicker finish.
mooncat’s speed demon!!
Thanks so much! I'll check it out. I love your video and commentary❤
You have influenced me on so many of these 😊
I’m honored!! 🥹💖
i love ILNP!!! acronym is ililnp!!!
hahah i love that! 😆
I love all ILNP polishes I own, but the brushes KILL me. I promised myself to only buy again once they switch to paddle brushes but I might cave and pick up a few during the next sale.
I bought the Eternal collection and now I'm so worried about tarnishing 😭
i really would be surprised to see those tarnish, they dont have the larger foily metallic flakes that cause it like in their other shades i mentioned!
I would be curious what your favorite glossy top coats are!
My top is Mooncat! But I also really love ILNP & Cirque. But for the price I’d go with ILNP lol 😁
I agree with everything ❤
Can you recommend a good horse shoe shaped magnet?
I only have the 30lb one which is from Amazon, but I heard the 20 or 22lb works just as well too!
Love the video, but I have completely different favorites from ILNP. 😄
Oh would love to know some of your favs!!
What happened to cirque colors? Honest question- i dont see many creators making videos on them anymore..
They lost a lot of customer trust after photoshopping swatches. I think there are other issues, but that's a big one.
I know they did that at least two years in a row, so it's not like they learned their lesson about how it makes the customer feel; they just put fine print on their website to absolve themselves of any "wrongdoing."
2) Recently, during their Jarritos polish collab, they edited a swatch from someone on Instagram to make it look like their yellow jelly polish was more different from another one of their yellows.
I have noticed that Kelli Marissa hasn’t done a video of Cirque for months. They even collaborated last year.
I do not own any ILNP yet; I am waiting until the sale, lol
thats exciting to hear though!! would love to know what you get 😁
Please stop reading my mind 😂 I was just thinking a video like this would be helpful 😅
Hahah well I certainly hope it’s helpful!! 🤗✨
I suspect any sticky base will have that peeling risk factor 🙂↕️
Yeah I kinda figured, but apparently this ingredient is somehow MORE sticky?? 🤔🤔
@ possibly, the wear time has always been great with their base coat until the peeling happened, then I switched to Kb Shimmer sticky base coat and it’s somehow long wearing and not as peel inducing?
Changing my nails almost daily. Is that too much? You saying you change it frequently and still keeps it for 4-5 days surprised me.
i personally don’t think daily is too much for nail polish obsessed people like us, its actually somewhat common!
