I think they heard the fans saying it's got anime school vibes and they went with that 😂 honestly, that's what my school did with chairs!
Soyeon already had that in mind when writing the song, she wrote it to be like J-pop
soyeon confirm it in a radio show, she wrote it with an anime theme since she got inspired by the anime movie, "your name"
Yea this is based on Kimi no na wa (Your name) specifically the subway scene
Not the lazy song, but its about Lethargy; being tired and unhappy with the daily routine. Soyeon opens with saying that she's eating her bread, starting the same the day the same as always, with Yuqi following up with an Iced americano in her hand all day long, as if she's always tired and always needs caffeine. In the moment of fulfilling those routines, the day to day, they feel a bit lost and sad because it feels like something is missing. So its a bit of a poignant song since it sounds happy and uplifting, but the lyrics are a bit bitter.
While the chairs messily placed are probably just a stylistic choice to match the school vibes, I like to think its because school is where we teach kids to fall into routine, to develop habits. In Korea, school is the priority of everyone, so much so that they'll spend 8 hours at school, then go spend another 6-8 hours at cram school, basically schooling from 8am to 1am/2am, and then repeating the same pattern in hopes that they'll get into a prestigious school or a prestigious career, it is all about how you appear to the public. I think the messily placed chairs can allude to a sense of loss and disarray; as in why do we even bother trying to organize our lives when it'll repeat the same pattern again tomorrow? Why bother trying to make sense of anything when the world already has its routine figured out that I just have to fit in?
But this is just all over-analysis and conjecture lmao
The song name in korean is "I'm tired of being sick". Soyeon talked about one of her inspirations for the song being the the end scene in 'your name' the anime. The pov is someone sick of their routine but they run into a Stanger and for some reason it makes them want to cry.
In the movie was about two strangers, a older teen boy and a younger teen girl; who swapped bodies and don't know why that was happening. They try to manage each others lives and do their best not screwing up things. Eventually they try to meet up to see what's going on. Leaving each other notes to meet at certain places or times. Then the boy finds out she died 3 years ago. Her village was destroyed by a rogue comet fragment killing almost everyone. The dark skies and the world ending in the song is a reference to that. The rest of the movie is them trying to save everyone and also developing feelings for each other.
They manage to save everyone by forcing everyone to evacuate before the comet hits. But the change in the timeline has their memories of each other fade. They know something important happens but can't remember. They don't know why but they're searching for each other. Then at the end of the move, the randomly meet each other on the street. They both feel something and hesitate. But pass each other by, but at the last moment they turn around and ask each other what their names were.
Soyeon loved the movie and the song is about that moment (she's a weeb). The moment of kismet where the missing piece of your life is in a stranger and the sight of them makes you want to cry.
Shuhua went back to work today. Chairs not properly stacked are easy MV props I think 😅
On another forum, someone made the comment that this song needs a proper MV, and not just a performance video. I totally disagree. This setting is perfect for this song.

シュファのコメントは曲のタイトル「나는 아픈 건 딱 질색이니까 (Fate)」で、休養中のシュファの気持ち的な意味です。
シュファは先日、韓国に戻ってきました。
ファンの人は知っての通り、この曲は漫画が大好きなソヨンPDが漫画の世界をイメージして作った曲で、元々は「２」のタイトル曲に予定だった曲で、収録曲となりましたが、リリース直後からファンの間では人気曲で、カムバ用音楽番組以外での歌番組やソヨンがゲストで出演した番組などで紹介していましたし、ショート動画も色々UPし、QWERがすぐにカバー（MV付き）し、少しずつ一般への認知度も上がっていましたが、「簡単でもいいからMVみたいなのを作ってほしい」って要望が多かった事もあり「LIVE CLIP」を製作しUPしましたが、一気に人気が爆発して大ヒット状態になり、収録曲で各チャート１位になっていますし、音楽番組への出演も決定しましたね。
