I love how, since the real commercials are included in this vid, you can see just how accurate SCTV's spoofing was. It's often hard to tell when the actual comic bits begin and end, since it's all ridiculous!!

I remember watching that Love Craft episode with my Mom and Dad. We were on the floor crying. Joe Flaherty May nailed that impression of Alki Stereopolous. Brilliant. We love the self mockery of our ethnic group 😅 🇬🇷

That HULK spoof was fucking hilarious! Sure, SCTV was an ensemble cast but I think the late great Harold Ramis deserves a lot of the credit. He was the Head Writer and Script Supervisor in the early days of Second City Television before he went Hollywood!

"Love Craft" haha, hilarious. Love their antics. "You want some loose change, huh?". Ahh, I love the old SCTV skits. Classic comedy gold!

Not taking anything away from the glorious SCTV, for me the funniest thing in this video was the gaslight/moral panic anti-add on cocaine. The idea that there's some insidious ingredient in it that somehow turns "kids" rude, destructive and always wanting to fight other people is hilarious. And notice that it's always *kids,* because they sure are the best clients (with angry parents on guard and pennyless anyway). Yuppie parents in the 80/90's were so lazy educating their children that even their anti-drug war was based on a don't-ask/no-questions/do-as-i-say policy, hence the famous *"Just say no!"*

Before Reagan and his War on Drugs & Just Say No, cocaine was $120 per gram. After Reagan got in, cocaine dropped to $50 per gram, and crack was introduced to the major cities. True story. I was there.
