Did you know Janet took the military style of dancing for Rythm Nation from seeing Michael and his dancer working on choreography for a song he decided not to use? So... now go ahead and call THEM "copycats". EVERY great artist at times takes bits and pieces from influences and makes it into their own. You can love Janet (as I do), but you don't need to bring up Beyoncé and try to knock her because it only makes you look stupid. Beyoncé is the biggest star in the world because she is a talent that is UNMATCHED and her performances during award shows are so amazing that it makes you forget there were other artists who performed. Marcel D. Robinson Whey Beyoncé is surrounded by mediocre performers like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, she is bound to look like a goddess. All those artists who you mentioned took something that was done before them and elevated it. Michael Jackson took the backslide and improved it by adding his own details to the dance. Same goes for Janet. Beyoncé hasn't brought anything new to the table. Those people broke barriers, they are the reason Beyoncé can tour worldwide. Grammys don't mean a thing. Not when Michael Jackson has only 13 Grammys (8 of which he won for Thriller), while just his BAD album, which had far better artistic imput, production and meaning, received nothing in 1988. Never forget that Beyoncé's father was in the commiteé of the Grammys and that he was the one in charge of her career for the most part.
