I met a guy who was metal detecting in a field in Hampshire and he found an Edward 111 double leopard gold coin , I of only 3 known to have been found . It went to Auction and eventually sold for £500,000
Note to self. Go metal detecting in Hampshire

I have several kew. I bought one, I was given one, and I put one in a coffee machine remarking.. oo look kew gardens, because it was my turn to buy the coffee. Started my coin journey. Kills me still. Lol. Love your video's. Thanks

I have a 2008 and 2 2003 James and snowman iom 50p I also have 2 2009 Kew gardens 50p and 2 2019 Kew gardens 50p. I love collecting 50ps and have the full sets of the Gibraltar Christmas 50ps and iom Christmas 50ps. Been collecting for years and love doing it 😊 love watching your videos and keep up the good work 👍

I have the Kew Gardens 50p. I heard that the 2021 tooth fairy 50p has a low mintage, any thoughts on that one.
I got my kew in the post office in 2009 first day it was put into circulation being a coin collected I kept it haha ❤
I have the Kew garden as well as the full set of 10 p coins as well as the presenting etc 50p I also have the rare pennies of king George of kn initials where they were minted.I am fortunate to have the complete collection of farthings till silver or half silver coins excluding maundy sets from king Edward till queen elizerbeth excluding gold 💰 coins as they are pretty expensive I live to know how much my collection could fetch thanks for sharing
I found a Frankenstein £2 a few years ago, I found a Christmas stocking 50p from Isle of Man that's worth around £40 as there were only about 30k of them made I think
There is a lot of low Mintage coins there. Any one of the would sit lovely in my collection. Great video 👌👍

I have couple kew garden ( 3x circ. and 2 silver proof), both A-Z sets, Tosha, Blue Peter, 2x olympic sets and many more. To the rarest UK coins only I need 2p new pence and 50p olympic aquatics with lines 😀
I have 2 Kew Gardens and got them in my change.
I gave away a kew and a offside 50p when i was skint after austerity first kicked in.. was so poor had to spend all my 50ps, had no idea they were worth more than 50p each.
My dad used to collect coins , I say used to as he is no longer with us, I Brought him a rare 4p coin , they weren't used for long only a certain number were made . He also had 2 silver 5p coins , the 5p coin that were made before 1945 were silver

You talked about fewer coins being in circulation than minted due to them being "recalled?" I think that was your word. As much as it seems plausible that this might happen, how do we know that it does? Does the Royalmint supply information about this? It makes good sense that the metal is recycled. But in effect the mintage numbers are materially affected if this does happen. Why doesn't the RM supply detail about this?

My favourite in my collection is a English Breakfast 10p I got in my change one time. Still looks in great condition to say it was in circulation. I also have the full set of Paddington Bear 50p's all from getting change.
I don't tend to use cash that often anymore. Its far too easy to just tap my phone. No need to withdraw, no need to carry a wallet. Its just the way it's going sadly.
The correct way to speak of a coin of the King's currency is not as a "Fifty Pee", but as a "Fifty Penny Piece", otherwise a good video.

My two rarest by mintage is Xmas isle man 2023 gold sorvighn I have two angel and Robin running in woods 150 mintage .the last Xmas gold sovereign with the late queen so should be more sought after so this year I will get 2 with king charels been the first sovereign in his reighn I wonder what it will be like do you maybe no they sent me the 2022 sorvighn with a church window so will it be churches angels or being charels you never no so yea wondering it was your utube got me collecting proff coins go up jot the gold price the collectabilty..you still get Q Gardens in edinburgh .I will do another hunt ....if you can get the first gold sorvighn from all the islands of charels that would make a great set
