As one of the voices in the game, it’s amazing to hear these awesome reviews! Critical Hit Games is a small but motivated and insanely talented team and I’m so happy for them to have what seems like a hit game on their hands. Looks impresiive, 5-6 hours for $25 is steep though since there is no replayability. Totally agree with your assessment that a few more crime scenes to push this to the 10 hour mark would have made this a better pill to swallow.

    • @ArielChobaz
      @ArielChobaz Месяц назад

there are two different endings depending on choices and so would have to play at least twice to platinum, so I wouldn't say there is no replayability, but wether it's worth the replay is up to you. I'll prob play again to platinum once I need another noir fix lol

Basically a "walking simulator", but the graphic, atmosphere and story are very great (at least for me). Too bad the rewind mechanic gets pretty old, fast.

They definitely could have made a better mini game for the reconstruction thing. The left/right trigger thing is kind of weak. I'm digging the game though, so that's more of a nit pick.

Oh this game is very intriguing though. Blade Runner and Bioshock noir. Reminded me of Myst as it was just interactive adventure with zero stakes... I mean you can't die. Loved the artwork and the music. It was MUCH longer than I was expecting... I thought an hour or two but it kept going on and then I pulled up a walkthrough... 4 plus hours... well that was unexpected. Very interesting. Loved how carefully you constructed this before you buy... I still don't know the ending yet. Thanks Jake!

Got it on PSN sale this weekend… kudos to the developers for the ambition- the detective noir is reminiscent of Soul Suspect, and analysis is awesome mode.
It’s wonky though… maybe it’s primarily a pc title, but at times frustrating trying to find clues.
    Good experience all and all!!!

I’m really hoping this can get a full a sequel that turns the concept into a full game. Would love the developers to make a Cyberpunk-esc game where we get to truly explore the world as James Karra. I desperately want to immerse myself into this universe like a nice hot bubble bath.

I randomly saw an add for it on TikTok and got it on a PS+ Sale on Friday. And i loved it. I had zero expectations going in as i knew nothing about it. And it was great. Blade Runner meets L.A. Noire with that Altered Carbon element. This game is sort of like that Next Gen looking game i've been missing. On PS5 it's one of the best looking games to date. It has some minor hickups here and there. But nothing that got in the way. Beautiful game that i will replay to Platinum.

I’m usually bored to tears by games like this but the whole vibe of it is drawing me in. If I like the setting and story, I don’t necessarily mind a walking sim, but they’re definitely not a go to for me. I liked Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture and SOMA, and this is kind of putting me in mind of them. May have to give it a go.

@@thisiskitta I'm a fan of Dontnod and well-made Double A games, not to mention 'clean' cyberpunk settings (not sure what else to call it, but think of things like Mirror's Edge, or the Square Enix Deus Ex games). So my biased opinion would be a definite yes.
Nothing groundbreaking as far as combat, but I found it engaging enough, and the memory manipulation is fun. Like most Dontnod games, you're playing more for the interesting setting and ideas rather than any kind of revolutionary gameplay.

I want to try this game simply because I love the look and feel of the esthetic. I don't need it to just another anything. I also respect the developer decision (if purposeful) of not advertising this game in typical, braggadocios fashion like most developers do.

I think this definitely is a "proof of concept" type of product.
I can see potential ways for them to expand the investigation mechanics and blend how they approach the choices without being too hand holdy.
Overall, if the price is right, I think this has a strong potential for a more robust sequel.

Besides it combines memories of alot of other series that are familiar like Altered Carbon, Fallout too..
I wouldn't be surprised that if this ends being the game that I finished the fastest since the day of the release.
