Hi! Much appreciate the way you've summarized the entire wholesale model in one video. I started wholesale in the UK and USA separately with different legal documents and companies. Everything was set up, I kept on sending emails to brands and asking them for reselling. Almost every brand agreed to allow me to resell their products NOT on Amazon but through my own website. I did this process for more than 7 months and ended up being hopeless and frustrated. Since this is Q1 and I'm giving one best and may be the last try. PLEASE tell me why brands don't even want to hear AMAZON's name when it comes to reselling? I'm very much willing to start my own business instead of a job.
Thanks for your feedback! I honestly don't have an idea why they don't want resellers on Amazon. They could have different reasons, and one could be because they are already selling on Amazon? ^EG

Secondly, they give distributors to buy from in lower MOQ like $500 but distributors have higher prices than that of brands and Profit goes in minus after calculating everything. I'm actually stuck, please make video on it. Secondly, make a video on Amazon dropshipping as well.
Thanks so much🙌. It truly means a lot to me because I have been struggling with finding the right product for the longest time now, and this gave me a great insight into everything from you.
Hello Junglescout, this was the best video on YT regarding FBA - thank you so much! But I'm trying to find wholesalers in UK that has best prices and most products that are sold on Amazon, but I can't find any good :( I wanted to do all my wholesale from BigBuy - but most of the items on Amazon can't be found there - or the cost of the products are too high compared to the Amazon listing price so no profits can be made... That's why I'm stuck in the process
Thank you! Try to use different keywords like bulk products, clearance, flash sale, mega sale, blowout sale, etc to find companies with an excess of products they are selling at low prices you can leverage!
This is more harder to achieve these days. As long as Amazon enters on all listings you can’t compete anymore with their huge quantities and low prices, so you won’t receive Buy Box. Also, with their FBA fees increased is more harder to obtain a good ROI.
As always, great talking points and clarifications. Question: I’m having a hard time getting clear direction for a resale certificate vs a resellers license for selling wholesale FBA. How this works and how /when it is used. For example, if I connect with a brand owner, they ask for the certificate of resale and is that a “forever” agreement between my company and theirs or is it per each type of product? Also, some of the info seems confusing. Thank you for any guidance or feedback! Please keep up the great content!
Great question! I would recommend hiring a tax lawyer or an accountant for this, though from our understanding, you need to get the resale certificate in the state your business is registered. The longevity of the agreement will depend on your negotiations and terms with the brand owner.
@@junglescout Thank you very much for the response! I actually spent 3 hours trying to figure this resale license out and ended up just calling the state treasury / tax department and they walked me through it in about 15 minutes - all that time lost, but so much knowledge gained! Thank you for your response!
If the original listing is created by someone else, how can I go about improving that same existing listing if I was the one who did not make it in the first place? I am little confused, please help.
If you are an additional seller, when you win the buy box, you can edit the listing to reflect the changes you want. You can also reach out to the listing owner and suggest changes - this benefits everyone!
Great video! I do have a question though. Is it possible for me to establish my own listing within the wholesaling model instead of relying on someone else's listing (similar to Private Label listing)?
if you help me get started step by step I will sign a legal document saying I will give you 55% of the first month's income. after the first month then I will do the 20% for the following months until I can go on my own. with this being said, even over the phone conversations to make sure everything is ligit on both our ends
You mention in the beginning improving a product that’s already being sold by adding photos, video, etc. how do you do this on an already listed product. Also, won’t this help ALL sellers and not just myself?
Hi Michoel, you will need to get approval from the brand before you make any changes to the listing. Once approved, you can submit a request to amazon, and then you can edit now the listing.
When you submit the Application. They would reject it by saying, SORRY WE DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO SELL ON AMAZON. Found hundreds of companies, and majority gave me a same reply. Also one more piece of investigative information. They don't even know, that there are most of the companies selling under their listing. Because most of the applicant lies that they wont sell on Amazon. Once they get approval, they do sell it on Amazon and violate the TOS. Js team explaining this model is just for content and views, its not applicable and easy as they show you. TRY IT YOUR SELF :D
Hey! Thank you for sharing your thoughts about this topic. We're sorry to hear that your experience dealing with brands has not been so great. We understand that some sellers may have had difficulties getting approved by brands. However, negotiating and demonstrating value can make a difference. @@junglescout Thank you so much for the quick response! I had another general question. When finally locating a supplier and working out a contract. If sending the product straight into an Amazon FBA center, would you find the address of the closest one to your house or how does that work?
Great video. No nonsense and a direct cut to the chase! Just a quick question. I am someone who's just starting out on Amazon. I also don't have a lot of cash. In your opinion which is the best way to start? Wholesale or Private label? God bless!!
Private label will require more investment than Wholesale, but we definitely recommend PL. We have a great blog that goes over other business models and potential costs: www.junglescout.com/blog/amazon-business-models/
How hard is it to actually get these brands to let you sell their products as a complete beginner? I’m afraid that I’m going to get an LLC and get everything set up just to get shut down by everyone because I can provide only minor value at best.
Great video Thanks! can I start whole-selling from Europe or do I need to be in the states, my question comes about the point where Mr. Brian said that I am going to need an LLC and the other requirements that I don't think I can get in Europe especially because I am new to this and I'm just starting.
Are you planning to sell on Amazon.com (US) or Amazon UK? Brian gave the usual basic requirements from brands in the US based on his experience but you can start a wholesale business model with other marketplaces also, but brands from different places may have different requirements. ^EG
You so much for making easy step by step videos to follow. I have a question, what if the supplier is not selling the product on Amazon, would we have to contact the supplier about product improvement on Amazon when they are not the one selling it?
I was able to find this for you which states that many Wholesalers Will Require You to Have an ABN www.stayathomemum.com.au/small-business-hub/wholesale-suppliers/ - LJ
Hello! Each Amazon Category will need certain requirements, I think the ones that are involving beauty products or food are the ones that will need certifications. 😉 -RS

Hi there! Thanks for the crystal clear explanation. The whole video was very engaging and did not feel like 30 minutes at all! I have one question though. If you are selling wholesale and then you run a ppc ad for the listing, if a person clicks on the sponsored listing, you got the buybox in that case right? even if another seller owns the buybox for the organic listing of that product? I'm not sure if my question makes sense (: Just starting to learn this! Thanks in advance.
Great question! From my understanding, you cannot run an Amazon PPC ads campaign without the Buy Box. In order to run active Sponsored Product ads, you do need to have “won” the buy box for your listing. 😉 - FO

What kind of liabilities do fall on the retailer/seller? Or is the LLC under this business model only used to open wholesale accounts and not as much to avoid liabilities?
You would create an LLC to be able to register on Amazon. When it comes to liabilities, we are not legal advisors so it would be best to double check that with an expert 😊

Hi, excellent video, do i need any LLC? reseller certificate? or EIN? I am planning to sell in AUstralia, and i live in Australia and i am taxpayer here. Your help would be much appreciated. thanks
Hiya! It would depend on the product you are trying to sell. Based on what status and type of product you may need certificates. LLCs, however, are not necessary.
Who does what task on who's platform? As a wholesaler, where do I go to add my offer to the existing manufacture, brand, supplier's product listing? Also, I will propose to optimize the brand's product listing with product images. Does the manufacture/brand/supplier give me access passwords access to enter their listing, thus, to optimize their listing with keywords, images or enhanced descriptions? What does the supplier need to do on their side? What do I need to do in my Amazon Seller's Central account?
You are approved to resell by the brand owner; you will create your listing on Seller Central. Now, if the brand owner already has the product listed on Amazon, you may need to work out how to create your listing with them. You can check our article guide here: www.junglescout.com/blog/selling-wholesale-on-amazon/
hello , if I want to wholesale in the U.S market , can I register my business in a different country ? Specially because I just need an LLC just for suppliers and not for amazon?
Amazon does accept sellers from other countries. You can find the list of countries accepted here. sellercentral.amazon.com/help/hub/reference/200405020?ref=id_200405020_relt_200404870&locale=en-US
Hiya! Absolutely you want to aim for the maximum but profit can vary on your selling journey. When you start off it's often lower until you establish yourself. Certain products also lend themselves to a higher profit margin than others. Start low and build to a good margin!
I want to do private label but I only have around $1300 to spend. Should I make some money doing wholesale before I try private label or that adequate enough for private label?
When is it best to just buy wholesale, sell on an existing product listing and compete for the buy box on Amazon? On the other hand, when is it more advantageous to contact a small/medium brand to open a wholesale account with the intent to offer to optimize the brand's product listing in exchange to become an exclusive seller on the brand's product listing? in your video above, which strategy are you using in your wholesale model other than contacting a brand or distributor and requesting to open a wholesale account and a product catalog with 100's of products.
Can you please explain how to sell clothes? In particular if I buy it from Macy’s or any other store and sell in on Amazon. What’s the legal way of doing that?
When I convince the brand to allow me to sell their product on Amazon since they are not doing so, what approval process/ procedure does Amazon provide me, the Amazon seller, to list the brand's product? On the other hand, assume the brand's product is listed in Amazon store and successfully selling in the buy box as cited in this RUclips video. In this case, am I to assume the brand must offer me access to their product listing so I can optimize their listing? If not, how do I proceed to deliver on my promise to optimize the brand's listing? It appears, something may be missing is the video that needs to be added. Correct me if I am wrong.
This article can guide you on this www.junglescout.com/blog/selling-wholesale-on-amazon/ Only the brand owner may edit the listing, especially if they are brand registered. If they are already selling on Amazon, you may need to clarify this further with the brand owner.
Hey I like the video very informative easy to understand and learn from it alot but I got a question you say make sure the brand or manufacturer is not selling it themselves so will they do care about listing optimisation if we say we can make it better please clarify thank you
Glad it was helpful! Yes you want to make sure that the brand themselves is not selling or has not gated or blocked the product first. This way you can see if you can get permission to sell without being blocked.
Hi, I already purchase items wholesale.. I own an online shoe store.. Currently I resell the shoes on my website mainly but I would like to open another lane and sell them on Amazon. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to do this.. I would like to watch part 2 because I think it will go more in depth of how to do this but I can't find the video lol. Please help if possible. Thank you in advance.
You mention the importance of improving the listing as a great way to get an account open with the manufacturer. Where I am confused is that you also tell us to avoid sellers that are also the brand???? If the listing belongs to a competitive seller who has or rotates the buy Box how do we benefit the the manufacturer unless the manufacturer owns the listing. And if they do own the listing, and therefore they are the seller and manufacturer, you tell us to let go of that product. I'm very sure that there is something I am misunderstanding here. Something I haven't caught onto yet??Thank you for your help in this. :). Who actually "owns" this listing? Which seller owns it?
There are products on Amazon that are only being sold by resellers and not by the brand owner/manufacturer, and that's what we recommend to look for. Going against the manufacturer/brand owner of the product is tough as they can offer the lowest price, That could make you lose or hurt your profit, and that is if they will allow you to resell their products in the first place.
It depends on the product's dimensions and weight. You can try the Amazon calculator here: sellercentral.amazon.co.uk/hz/fba/profitabilitycalculator/index?lang=en_US
Great video! I do have a question though. Is it possible for me to establish my own listing within the wholesaling model instead of relying on someone else's listing (similar to Private Label listing)?
Great Informative video. I have a question about the resale certificate. For which state do you need a resale certificate? For instance, your LLC is registered in Wyoming and you are residing in another state from where you operate your business? how did you get the resale certificate? Thanks in advance
As an Amazon FBA seller, you may have to pay sales tax in other states where your inventory is stored. Please consult with your tax professional to determine your federal and state tax liability and if you need resales certificate in other states
Brian offers to enroll brands in Amazon brand registry to enable A+ content value for an example. If the brand has an existing product listing on Amazon and controls the buy box, is he assuming the brand does not know how to enroll in brand registry? On the other hand, is Brian assuming the brand is not aware of the benefits of brand registry and/or does not have an existing listing on Amazon? Under what scenario(s) does one offer to enroll a brand into Amazon registry?
If the product is already on Amazon, you just need to add your own listing. If it is not on Amazon yet, the Brand usually has UPC for their product already.

The FBA model is definitely for you, what you want is to leave your customers with the feeling that they worked with a 'company' whether it's one person or more. Customers want an experience with you and this will help them return to you, which is a win!

When filling out my sales taxes license aka a resale certificate do I check selling at retail or wholesale? Sorry if my question seem a little naive just trying to get everything straightened out, thank you for your help.
Brian mentioned he looks for products that have a MOQ. How do you identify or determine whether a product has a MOQ. Or is this a matter of asking the brand.
Hi, I have a question. You mentioned in the video that I can make the listings better with more images, a video and (e.t.c). My question is that how do I make the listimgs better. Do I make an entirely new listing or do I make a listing on the one which is already on amazon but in thag case how do I make the listing better?
I have a question. In your letter to the supplier or brand owner, you said in another video if the brand is the seller, then don't try to jump in because they won't let you sell their brand on Amazon but then in the letter you wrote, you're offering your help to optimize their listing on amazon ! I am very confused by this.
When selling on Amazon wholesale, we try to avoid established brands as usually, if they already have a strong listing, they will either not let you sell their products, or if they let you, it will be hard to compete for the buy box. But there are times when even if the Brand owner is the seller, you will see that there are a lot of areas for improvement on their listing, so you can consider reaching out to them and offering to open a wholesale account and one of the values that you can offer to add is you can help optimize the listing.
Can I just change the product pictures for an existing listing on my own account and then when I win the bybox my pictures will show and when someone else wins the bybox the pictures of him will show?
I'm not quite sure what you meant about the Buy Box however, you can change the photos on your listing. Here's a great article to help you with that: sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/forums/t/changing-images/75312
That's an option to purchase from for sure! The brand may have better wholesale pricing as Costco is also a third-party retailer - either way, you'll want permission from the brand regardless of where you source the product from.
Hi, I applied step by step what I have seen in this video and with those filters with maximum 5 sellers on the listings, FBM and no Amazon, the JS results were, listings with 9, 13 sellers on the same listing, Amazon everywhere, an average ROI between 39-70% etc. Also, when I found a supplier among the sellers, the prices on their website were very close to those listed on Amazon, so the ROI is not profitable at all.
Regarding the results not meeting the filters set, kindly reach out to our support team (support@junglescout.com), we'd be happy to check what's happening and very happy to assist you. And with regard to the prices, yes, that's really happening. But there are still a lot of opportunities and our product research tools will help you find those products. It doesn't have to be the same as the filters done on the video, as those are just guides or some of the things to consider when doing product research with selling Wholesale.

You can also reach out to the listing owner and suggest changes - this benefits everyone!

very informative video. JC is doing grat job..👍
Thank you so much for the feedback! We are glad to hear you find this video useful 🤗
Great video! I do have a question though. Is it possible for me to establish my own listing within the wholesaling model instead of relying on someone else's listing (similar to Private Label listing)?
I don't understand fba shipping. How much does Amazon charge you to ship to customer etc. ??
here's a great article that discusses all the fees that are charged to the seller: www.junglescout.com/blog/amazon-fba-fees/ 😉 -RS
Loved this video❤❤❤. Learned alot of things🎉
Thanks for your feedback! Glad you loved it! 😊
if you help me get started step by step I will sign a legal document saying I will give you 55% of the first month's income. after the first month then I will do the 20% for the following months until I can go on my own. with this being said, even over the phone conversations to make sure everything is ligit on both our ends
You mention in the beginning improving a product that’s already being sold by adding photos, video, etc. how do you do this on an already listed product. Also, won’t this help ALL sellers and not just myself?
Hi Michoel, you will need to get approval from the brand before you make any changes to the listing. Once approved, you can submit a request to amazon, and then you can edit now the listing.
hello, I would like to find out if my company is not from the US, how can i obtain a resale certificate? and also the EIN? thanks
We do have an article that could guide you on this here:www.junglescout.com/blog/selling-wholesale-on-amazon/
Love the content! I had a question. When purchasing a product from a whole seller and selling that product using the current existed listing on Amazon, does the company that makes the product also get a percentage of the sale? Also, is there a tutorial on how to optimize listings?
Great questions! If you own the buy box, the sales and profits are yours alone :) As for optimizing listings check out this great tutorial! ruclips.net/video/XdXFBr9XASA/видео.html
@@junglescout Thank you so much for the quick response! I had another general question. When finally locating a supplier and working out a contract. If sending the product straight into an Amazon FBA center, would you find the address of the closest one to your house or how does that work?
Great question! When you create a shipping plan in your account, Amazon will let you know the addresses of the warehouses you are sending to :)

Hey! Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed the content!
How hard is it to actually get these brands to let you sell their products as a complete beginner? I’m afraid that I’m going to get an LLC and get everything set up just to get shut down by everyone because I can provide only minor value at best.
It is not easy but once you've found the right brand that's a perfect match for you, things may get easier 😊 ^EG

can I start whole-selling from Europe or do I need to be in the states, my question comes about the point where Mr.
^EG
@@junglescout I am mainly thinking of selling in the us market, will i be able to start out without all the complicated business stuff?

You so much for making easy step by step videos to follow. I have a question, what if the supplier is not selling the product on Amazon, would we have to contact the supplier about product improvement on Amazon when they are not the one selling it?
If they are able to make the improvements for you, then yes, you can definitely ask them about it even if they are not selling on Amazon

if you becoma a FBM. I'm resposible for freight. What if the item purchased has to be shipped on a pallet weighing about 600lbs. How would you advertise the product to cover shipping costs if you don't know the buyers location.

😉 - FO

does jungle scout work for Wholesale product research as well? lot of amazon wholesale guru say that jungle scout is good for private label research only. Please help/guide me :)
Yes, you can definitely use our tools to sell wholesale products 😉
What kind of liabilities do fall on the retailer/seller? Or is the LLC under this business model only used to open wholesale accounts and not as much to avoid liabilities?
You would create an LLC to be able to register on Amazon. When it comes to liabilities, we are not legal advisors so it would be best to double check that with an expert 😊
all liabilities do fall on the llc it self , as this llc is just made for the amazon wholesale account

I dont get it.. The video shows to aim for 100% profit but the "expert" right after says profit margin are typically 15-20%, thats a big difference!

This article can guide you on this www.junglescout.com/blog/selling-wholesale-on-amazon/
Only the brand owner may edit the listing, especially if they are brand registered.

Hi, if I were to wholesale a yogurt I bought for £0.90p for £2, how much would I expect to pay for fees in that scenario?

That's right Raphael, there are so many parts to the Amazon journey and people are not always aware of the brand registry benefits.
Hi your video very helpful but I don’t understand why one mentions that on top everything we need to buy UPCs to resell branded items 🤷🏻♀️
If the product is already on Amazon, you just need to add your own listing. If it is not on Amazon yet, the Brand usually has UPC for their product already.
Very informative thanks for sharing

He said they're gonna want to know that youre a legitimate business and that youre not a random person on amazon looking to create a quick buck. .... im sorry but i thouhht the whole point of this video is for beginners to learn how to sell on amazon , i am not a business but i am extremely interested in FBA. Can't believe this bombshell is revealed 29 minutes the 31 minute video...
The FBA model is definitely for you, what you want is to leave your customers with the feeling that they worked with a 'company' whether it's one person or more. Customers want an experience with you and this will help them return to you, which is a win!
That fbm strategy is wrong you should not touch fbm dominated listing you wont get buy box and those fbm sellers wont let you sell
Have you had experience with this? 😞
Your sale estimator tool is not updated I am selling 350+ Units per month according to BSR in your tool I am selling 90 Units only I think you need to fix this issue from the back end
The estimator tool shows the sales estimates of a product if it stays on the same BSR for the next 30 days and not historical actual sales data.
Please make some video about germany wholesale because after USA UK Germany is the biggest market place for amazon and there are no videos about german wholesalers

When filling out my sales taxes license aka a resale certificate do I check selling at retail or wholesale? Sorry if my question seem a little naive just trying to get everything straightened out, thank you for your help.
It depends if you are a retailer or a wholesale dealer.
Brian mentioned he looks for products that have a MOQ. How do you identify or determine whether a product has a MOQ. Or is this a matter of asking the brand.
Yes, you will need to verify that with the brand/supplier ☺️
Hi, I have a question. You mentioned in the video that I can make the listings better with more images, a video and (e.t.c). My question is that how do I make the listimgs better. Do I make an entirely new listing or do I make a listing on the one which is already on amazon but in thag case how do I make the listing better?
You may reach out to the brand owner and request to optimize the existing listing on Amazon.
Such a great 👍 video
Thanks for giving a good information
We're so pleased you enjoyed it!
Here's a great article to help you with that: sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/forums/t/changing-images/75312
then once i get good enogh i loved to make 3 million a month
But we don’t have to go to the brand itself. Couldn’t we use a third party supplier. For example Costco for ungated products.
That's an option to purchase from for sure! The brand may have better wholesale pricing as Costco is also a third-party retailer - either way, you'll want permission from the brand regardless of where you source the product from.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it! 😉
