I started my FBA business last year during the fall, it didn't go as planned & I went out of business. Maybe I didn't pick the right product & most likely needed more time on my product research. But I can't wait to start again after saving up a bit more money! I definitely see potential. At first, when you fail you feel like it ain't worth it, you give up, because of the money wasted, but look into it more carefully & you'll notice your mistakes & then you realize what you could've done better. It was a great learning experience. Jungle Scout was so awesome to use! Can't wait to use it more effectively! My first attempt on FBA cost me less than $1000, including supplier negotation, upc code & all that to get started. 2nd attempt is going to be an adventure!

@@heytherebilo12 I might've rushed myself in the beginning of my product research & I picked an item that was seasonal. I was under a budget as a first time seller & so I made a small purchase of units to start off. In the first few weeks after my products finally arrived at Amazon, I started getting a few sales & by late November, sales were about 5 - 10 a day. I got excited, but then around late December everything went dead, I was getting 3 sales per week sometimes & I understood because my item was mostly seasonal & I wanted to take advantage. Then the Covid-19 came & I just had to shut it down because my suppliers in China were on lockdown & were unavailable for new negotiations. I say start with about 50 - 100 units or less than that if you're a trying to be a new seller on Amazon. Make a social media account page for your product for marketing, that really helped me. High quality photos was also a plus for me in my case. There is potential in this, you just gotta find the product that is going to give you the best luck. Definitely take your time doing product research!
hello, greg thanks for your great wholesale lesson. I'm trying to start selling on amazon. So If I sale wholesale's product on amazon that already selling on amazon, in this case, should I still need UPC or Amazon will allow me to do this> ? Bcoz sometimes existing product listings are restricted. Can you please give a better idea >>
A UPC is only required for a private label product. If selling a product that already exists then that product already has a UPC code.
You can ask the wholesaler for the UPC code if you need it.
If a product requires approval or it's gated then you'll need to request approval to sell that product/ or sell in that category.

When using this method, does each individual seller in the buy box have their own listing? Or is it a shared listing for all of these sellers? In other words, when I click a product, is it showing me the listing of the buy box owner, or is it a shared listing between everyone? Do you need to get your own photos done for wholesale? Or can you use photos of other listings of the same product? Any information is greatly appreciated. You guys have great content with such valuable information 💯🙏

You can certainly add things to an existing listing. As for returns, they work the same way! Amazon refunds the customer and sends you the product to your business address!-SR 😊

Thanks and very good video. But I have few questions:
1. How would we know that manufacturer or supplier is not selling on amazon?
2. How would we know that amazon is not selling on amazon?
3. Sellers who have more than 2% of lowest cost of product and not eligible for buy box. What are they doing on amazon then if they can't get a share of sales?
4. Where I can get a full understanding of buy box?
5. So before identifying the product and doing all this research, do you recommend to form a company first so that it doesn't create issue later?
6. Is there any video which can help us to quickly form a company and ecommerce just as a formality so that we don't face any blockers while doing wholesale business?

That's because if you lower your price too much, you will lose the Buy Box as well! ^PW

If you find a product selling 1000 units per month with a couple sellers like the light example you showed, why not sell for more than 2% less than the competitors and control the entire buy box?
That's to make sure that Amazon won't treat it as a violation of fair pricing rule 😉 ^PW

You said at the very beginning about Getting the Wholesaler to deliver your order Direct to Amazon!..
- But won’t you have to get the wholesaler to put Your Amazon Labels on your Order first before delivering to Amazon?.. and would Your Amazon Labels have to go on Each Product or Case?.. or Both?
- What if the Wholesaler isn’t prepared to put Your Amazon Labels on your Order?.. Would it be a case of getting the Wholesaler to deliver your order to a Prep Centre and Your Amazon Labels get put on there, and then the Prep Centre then delivering your labelled order to Amazon???…
- Even if the Wholesaler did deliver your order Direct to Amazon All Labelled!.. After a while won’t the Wholesaler think!.. ‘Hang On!..’ we can do this direct to Amazon ourselves!.. We don’t need this Guy?
Yes, you would print off the FNSKUs and send them to the wholesaler. They would attach them to each case and product.
They usually don't have a problem doing that. If they refuse, then you will have to do it yourself or send it to a prep center and they can send it to Amazon.
Yes, they can. However, they're a wholesaler for a reason. If they wanted to handle individual sales they would be a retailer

hi, can you answer me this because you didn't mention it in your video, when purchasing bulk items from a wholesaler how do you exactly have them send it to an Amazon fulfilment centre, where do you find an address for a fulfilment centre, furthermore how can i know that amazon has received my items when for all they know they just received a bunch of items from a random wholesaler
Hey Daniel! You would need to create a shipping plan to get Amazon's warehouse address 😊And once the shipment arrives, you will see the available stock inside Seller Central ^PW

I’m trying to do as much research as I can before starting with Amazon FBA and this has been by far the most important content I’ve seen for the wholesale market! I have a couple of questions - I don’t know if you can help with or not but…
(I’m from the UK btw)
- With wholesale products what’s the deal with barcodes? (Do I need a UPC, do I need to apply SKU’s to each individual item etc?) - or can I simply get them shipped directly to the fulfilment centre and that’s that?
- Setting up as a Limited Company would you suggest getting an accountant straight away and if not do I need to be meticulously accurate with my bookkeeping from the outset?

@@junglescout how does this method of acquiring leads on suppliers differ from “reverse sourcing?” I’ve watched some guys saying that’s the superior strategy, but this seems way more streamlined and efficient. With jungle scout you can weed out all the products that don’t meet the requirements of a profitable account, where in reverse sourcing your scouring Amazon’s listings one by one in certain categories. Is there something I’m missing on reverse sourcing efficacy?

Hi.. I loved the video, highly informative. I however have 3 questions. Question 1) In the Private labeling model, we first have to purchase the UPC and the FNSKU barcodes which we provide to our suppliers/manufacturers to be printed on the packing, as per the requirements of amazon warehouses. Is all this required in the Wholesale Fba model also? For instance if we pick Usa as the market we would be selling our products in, hence purchasing from the U.S based manufacturers/wholesellers and we choose FBA, how would amazon know that the product belongs to me, upon reaching their warehouse?
Question 2) Is there any step-by-step guide for FBA WHOLESALE model? This video is extremely helpful but seems like an overview of the FBA WHOLESALE model.
Question 3) How important are the Keywords in the FBA WHOLESALE model? are they as important as the Private Label model?
Hello Mohsin!
First, UPC is required no matted what business model you're doing. If you're not going to do FBA then an FNSKU is not required. The FNSKU will be the indicator that the product is yours and thus, once received in the FBA warehouse it will be accounted for in your Inventory. Great information, but I do have a question. Let’s say a company agreed to make me there exclusive seller, what should I tell them to ship the material? And once they ship it do I then make a listing or before?

The problem comes when people are dropping prices to price you out.
For example. There’s 2 sellers selling a product at £20
They both share the buy box 50% each
You come in at £20 their share of the buy box has now gone from 50% to 33%
For simple terms:
The item sells 100 a month, the 2 original sellers get 50 sales each
Now you come on the listing they get 33 sales.
This is the same as having a McDonald’s and then kfc opens up across the road

How would you recommend negotiating exclusivity if there’s already another seller or they’re selling the item themselves on Amazon but not FBA?
Also do you need to be the original listing owners permission to edit the listing. Who approves the edits to the listing?
Is there a possibility that the wholesaler isn’t listing the item on Amazon themselves and the listing was created by a random who had a few units to sell?
Negotiation depends on the approach of every manufacturer/supplier, but you can always try to negotiate exclusivity!
Yes, you need to own the listing to make the changes that are approved by Seller's Central team. Regarding your third question, yes, this is possible, though, it is definitely against ToS 😉^PW
This was a fab video thank you!! I have a question though, so once you set up your Amazon Seller account, how do you get yourself on as one of the sellers? Do you copy and re vamp their listing ( as you may have promised them) and essentially create your own new listing? Or how does that all get connected?
