Having read about "Bullseye" and it's implementation countless times, I was never shure if it was accurate information. Now, hearing from a lad who has been there, done that and got the T-shirt explaining how it works, I guess my source of info was bang on. Cheers mate..
Awesome, didn’t realize it was this simple. There was a human awacs on Hoggit giving Bullseye calls awhile back and I had no idea how to interpret them. I’ll be ready next time!
This is SO helpful! I was on a MP server last week and the GCI asked me what BRAA from Bulls I was engaging and I didn't know how to give him that info! This was very helpful! :D

I always forget about this feature, most of the maps I play don't have a bulls, great job explaining, I wish more maps and other features like bulls and TOT were used in SP downloaded missions, always nice to inject some real features into the game.

I always wondered how to use bullseye in the practical sense...with the f-18 it makes sense, but how do you do this with let’s say an f-5? Is there a different method to think from the bullseye?

Are Bullseye calls something, that has become more prevalent with the takeover of glass cockpits?
Bullseye requires an additional vector calculation from the fighter, which 4th gen and newer aircraft can do automatically.
Or is that something a trained pilot is expected to be able to do instantly in his head?
Bullseye is more prevalent with the advent of datalinks and multi-ship formations. The picture can be relayed quickly to everyone on the radio and targeting is much more efficient.
Great! Now we need a video about how to navigate to a point referred to the bullseye. For example: "join friendly forces at bullseye XXX/XX". How to set a heading to reach that point directly instead of moving on "radials" and then turn to or out of the bullseye to reach the assigned distance?
You can use your radar page or the SA, move it to the bullseye point you want to go to, it will double that with a BRAA indication on your rdr or sa. Simply fly on that heading for that distance.

Just for Fa18, the bullseye coordinate is automatically put in the waypoint 59 of board computer. Simply choose option A/A WP on this waypoint in HSI/Data to set bullseye.
Great video and description of how to use Bullseye. One question about the two groups Bullseye call. What was the azimuth 15 part at the beginning? Saying that the two groups were 15 miles apart? But how do you convey the position of the 2nd group if you don't give a 2nd Bullseye call for that group? If someone could clear that up I would appreciate it! Cheers, mate!
The second group is related to the first. If you say azimuth 15 and use the “east group” as the anchor then the west group is 15nm to the west of the east group.

So bullseye is something newer that only modern planes use? Cause receiving info relative to the bullseye sounds useless if you're flying an F5 without the fancy radar and MFD...
How would a GCI communicate an interception without BRA? Would they designate a point to fly to relative point in space to BE?
No, they give picture and the pilot sorts it out
How would you use this technique in a plane without SA displays?
By knowing where you were from bullseye using speed and distance navigation calculations
Use a kneeboard card that has the bullseye labeled with range circles and bearing labeled in intervals.
Can you update this video for the F-15E, my HSI doesn’t do this.
