playing this in my hs band class rn (this is my first year of band, so its really hard for me and i struggle with consistently hitting notes lol) and its really fun to play. the song in itself is also really beautiful and hearing it live feels magical

Not cause I don't want to or don't have the ability to it's just that my mouth piece won't let me do the pedal tones. Very fun piece tho. Have fun playing it my guy.

We used to rehearse it in our band I played the alto saxophone but we never performed it, such a pity, it gives me goose bumps, such a masterpiece!

The French Horn, Euphonium and Chimes/Timpani combo makes this an absolute masterpiece.

Bass clarinet here too, our solos in this piece are beautifully and mysteriously written. I had so much fun learning and playing the solos
