I gave Mia X her props on another post, so I gotta give the Ghetto Twiinz their props I remember as a teenager in New Orleans listening to them and wore out their first album "Surrounded By Criminals" on Big Boy Records. That album is always fiya to me. I remember they went to Rap A Lot and went national. Salute to the Twiinz.
Mama Mia X (my pretend wish she was ol lady when I was a teenager in New Orleans). I been a lifetime fan of hers since I was in high school in the mid 90s. The first time I heard her was in 1993 when she jumped on the remix of a song that a classmate that was in a local rap group made. She was one of the best on the No Limit Tank. She has had some health issues recently, but she seems to doin okay these day. She is the First Lady of our city. Great video.
Mia X is a living legend who was the First Lady of No Limit. She came from the older era of No Limit crew, so she was definitely a great MC before she retired from rapping. Queen Pen has definitely been forgotten from the hip hop community. She has worked with Blackstreet and some of the biggest names in hip hop before she disappeared for good. Sole was married to Ginuwine and she worked with JT Money on Who Dat. Other than that, she has been forgotten and people have forgotten she was a rapper.
Mia X wasn't the first female signed to No Limit. That would be Sonya C (Master P's ex wife and Lil Romeo's mother) and she dropped an album before Mia even signed to No Limit
In my latter teenage years, I heard Mia Xs’ music, but I had no idea how bad she was/is. She’s sumptn lovely. 😍😍😍 But that goes to show you, you don’t need to sell sex to sell music. Talent is the truth and the cream will always rise to the top! 😁
I'm glad found your channel. There were only a few female rap artists that I truly enjoyed even in my super younger years. I'm a woman and grew up in the 90's.
Queen Pin & Mia X what have they done since the 90's? Sole the only song I remember from her is the feature on JT Money Who Dat. I think Mia X is the most talented of the 3 rappers lyrically definitely
Mia x.. is so underrated she can devour most dudes in my opinion I think she's the best female rapper hands down.. salute the biggest mama Mia x aka Miss Betty cocker💯

The 1990's decade was the greatest opportunity for female rappers to make it though. All 3 of these female rappers could've really had a deep imprint in this industry, especially Mia X and Queen Pen,but I digress.
Queen Pen moms started my locks back in the day i think it was 99 or 2000. She use to always talk about her and the things she had going on at the time
I can't speak for the rest but I have always enjoyed Mia X as a matter of fact, I never realized after all these years I never listened to Mia X MaMa Drana album, I always bumped Unlady like. So actually last month 05/16/2024 I gave it a go and I wasn't disappointed at all. Mia X is that lady and u have always admired what you brought to the Rao community Mama Drama came out in 98 and it still holds up
Never heard of Solé. Saw her video wit Ginuwine. I see why she didn’t blow. Lacked charisma n presence. Basically a Ginuwine song tbh. And she rap hard but had a r&b look. She needed to soften it up.
I use to think sole was the sister of Mya Mia X was dope and deserves her own video I'm from Va beach and had no idea queen pin was from around the way What about bahamadia, she was dope also, she should have been on this video before Mia X
You didn't mention: 1. Queen Pen beating up Rosci from 106 & Park for sleeping with Lisa Raye's husband 2. Sole' marrying Professor Grief from Public Enemy
I feel like one of our dope NY MCs, Queen Pen, didn't get the shine she deserved because, lyrically, she was ok with being herself and speaking on her attraction to women. Way ahead of her time in the 90s. That stalled her career yet some artists (in various genres) who were LGBT then, it furthered their career. Strange.
Mia X will body your favorite rapper. Everybody knows to steer clear of her. Even the men on her label feared her lyrically. The rule was to go before her, cause a verse after hers would be deemed lack luster. No matter who it is !
It ain't like No Limit had a bunch of lyrical artists to begin with. So this not hard to believe. She is undoubtedly nice to be a Southern Female artist. She checked all the marks to be a multi platinum star. Still a living Legend nonetheless
notice respect the queen pen, Ive heard nothing but good things when ppl speak on her character. And Sole seems like a stand up solid chick as well, but you don't group those 2 with an artist like MIA. I believe she wrote her own shit, she was a gangster and she was never even in the conversation for the worst verse on anything she did. She held her own with the fellas. Queen Pen spit a warm 4 on corny song, and Sole is knows being Ginuwines old lady. I feel like it's always album was one of those projects that we would see in the source or an XXL every now and then. Where we would skip straight past the page because I believe the artwork was a close-up of her face. She is not and ugly woman by any stretch of the imagination but she does not do it for me like she does for some. But neither one of us paid the project any mind because she wasn't showing any ass then after 2 years go by one day we finally stop and think hasens album coming out next month for the last 2 and 1/2 years? even though Master P took that marketing play straight from suges playbook to announce upcoming projects from other artis on the label inside the case for albums. The difference is that Suge teased the same 4 project and never deliver a one. and P' upcoming release looks like a major label's entire catalog over 60 years, P was dropping 12 album within whatever quarter it was at that time
