I'm always excited to show you guys a new video, but for this Halloween season, I collaborated with a ton of amazing people to create a Halloween themed doll! I chose Hades since I havent seen a lot of dolls of his character and I thought that it would be cool to really light his hair on fire. Although, I would love to see an Aphrodite doll. Or a Zeus doll! Or even an Eros and Psyche doll! Don't know the last one? Oh....okay..
4:04 Fun fact, in the actual Greek mythologies, Hades wasn't evil. He just had family issues, and a long line of souls to keep--mostly because of Hera's insanely jealous ways.
The whole "Hades-is-evil" shtick came from Christian ideals overlaid onto retellings of the old myths. So, Hades warped from a intelligent, but frustrated, individual to a devious devil character.

Mari Walker I honestly have never heard that one.
I know Hades has done questionable things (like in one version of Narcissus' birth, where he stole Hera and took her ego, birthing the god of vanity), but his reasoning was usually sound. (Like trying to get Hera to stop killing women because Zeus couldn't keep it in his toga, since he and the Fates were overwhelmed with the amount of souls flooding the Underworld)
Alma Saon Hades is actually rarely shown doing good deeds in most cases he is looking out for himself and being quite selfish as shown with the Persephone story. he's also shown to hate Heroes with the exception Orpheus. The reason that the Persephone story is so famous is because that's how the Greeks explained the changing of the seasons. While there are some examples of Hades being kind they are few and far in-between.
Hades has always been presented as a sort of a business man. Like I said originally, Hades has been warped because of the whole "Hades is the devil, the devil is evil" mentality overlaid onto the stories.
This is what annoys me is that movie... when this guy is chill his hair is blue, and when he’s mad his hair orange... but blue hair is more hot that orange fire... the frustration is real

This is amazing! It's a shame Disney didn't make their own doll of the sass master, but yours looks amazing and I doubt they'd make Hades look as good as you have! I mean, their Gaston doll is kind of a disgrace... He is definitely lacking in the muscles department which brings me to this; I'd really like to see you do a Gaston doll. Knowing you, you could exaggerate his vascular features. Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourites from the 90s and Gaston is one of my favourite villains. I bet he'd be a fun challenge to make. ☺

WOW! The creativity used to make this piece is just superb. It's like the best "unconventional materials" challenge on Project Runway: foam, hot glue, chop sticks, a fork, toy dogs! Kudos on thinking outside the box.
