*I run the m6 daily, and my floors look awesome🌼 **allabout.wiki/Roomba-960** I wet mop 2 days and dry sweep the rest of the days. When I first got it, I used the included disposable pads. I didn't like them--the dry pad has no depth so if it picks up a chunk of something, like dry cat food, then it pushes it around or drags it around the floor. The wet pad wasn't very absorbent so left streaks and wheel marks.*
I found my 960 in the trash and it works, believe it or not. Though I'm not sure how well. I just cleaned it today and I'll test it again tomorrow, this time using the app. Here's what I found out from my first test. I have multiple rigid carpet screws holding down my carpet that apparently really did a number on my rubber rollers. That's because they're not fully screwed down and flush with the floor. Therefore they can tear into the rubber rollers.
*Works great and is lightweight **MyBest.Tools** Comes apart for cleaning/fits back together easily. It replaced my carpet shampooer. Great on hardwood as well.*
Hmm, I agree with Kristin! If you vacuum the room with a normal vacuum cleaner, you don't circle around the things lying there, you pick the stuff up. I'm also a fan from the Roomba 960. With two dogs I must/want to vacuum every day. it saves time and it cleans also under my couch and other furniture without moving things everyday. But I use it in combination with my normal big vacuum cleaner, but I have to do that only once a week now.
I love this vacuum, as for having to pick up stuff off the floor you have to do that with any vacuum I mean really? You cannot vacuum over kids toys and crap left on the floor that is not even fair to this product. It is doing a fantastic job of my house so far, and I am very pleased!
thats a fair point, but when you vacuum yourself, its easy to just push some things aside and get on with it, which the roomba obviously cannot do. Toys and stuff it can def deal with, but its annoying that if you leave a ribbon laying around itll get jammed and the whole cleaning cycle is interrupted. But overall im pretty happy with it too! it does indeed keep the house much cleaner
Just to say really quick the button to detect where it is is not for that it’s is for roomba to circle and clean in one spot and the button is called spot clean
Thanks for the review. You mentioned that if you were buying another one for the first time, you would go with a much cheaper version. Aside from improved technology for timing and app control - are the mapping and tracking features significantly improved in the 960 over the cheaper and earlier models?
im not 100% sure, but i think that the basic device is the same across the range. Perhaps slightly more power in the higher end models? other than that, its really bout app features, wifi, reporting etc
I run mine often at night and kind of laughing because it never wakes me up. The 960 is the quieter one especially on carpet which is throughout my place except the kitchen and bathroom. So falling asleep on the couch or in my bed is never an issue for me while Robbie (My Roomba) is running.
I know why your roomba is failing...it's not meant to be used during night....I mean well you can, but it won't perform very well because of the camera it has, try using it during the day when your house is lit and see if it makes a difference the camera needs light....
ReviewsOnAnything yes, the lights absolutely must be on for it to work properly. That’s how the camera works. If you want to use it in the darkness, you need a vacuum like Neato, which uses LIDAR(lasers) to sense objects
Easy to assemble, good strong materials, feels good, looks good.

Thank you very much for your honest descriptions!

I believe this Roomba doesnt have Smart Mapping? It does had Imprint Link I think, but no Smart Mapping. Right?
Thanks for the video
Why would I use the vacuum cleaner at night? I sleep at night, last thing I want is a vacuum cleaner making a bunch of noise.
i run it in the living room with the door closed, so no noise issues for me. But otherwise youll run it when you are not home of course

@@onesexyblkdude I ended up going with the I7 and it’s surprisingly quiet.. Far quieter than older roombas. I can definitely see running it at night.

thats an interesting thought, ill keep that in mind for the next time i test one
