If the question was "what sea is 500 nautical miles west of the philippines" its gunna be west philippine sea. But west philippine sea only covers the philippine area of responsibility, lets not confuse the whole s. China sea as w. Phil. Sea, only partial of s. China sea covered w. Phil. Sea, its not the whole s. China sea that covers the w. Phil. Sea.

It is actually West Philippine Sea. It is part of the 200 notical miles exclusive economic zone of Philippines' territory written in 1987 Constitution of the Philippines based by the description of UNCLOS which has the guidelines governing countries surrounded by bodies of water or sealocked countries. China claim it only for "historical rights".

GEOGRAPHY: Definition includes the "study of the natural and the(human) built environment". That's why structures like the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc. are considered the proper studies in the science of geography. Forget what you were taught back in school, the science has moved on. Of course, these structures can also be studied under many other disciplines, but those are the subjects for other RUclips videos. If you only learn about a country's location on a map, what practical good is that? Geography incorporates many disciplines; including history, economics, statistics. meteorology, etc. to get a fuller picture of the human and natural environment. Its not just about finding out where the capital of Norway is on a map, any more.

About question 17: Taiwan is in fact closer to Japanese coastlines than to Chinese. It's only 107 km from Yonaguni Island (Japan) to Taiwan vs about 120 km to the Chinese Mainland. And that is if you are talking about the island of Taiwan, Taiwan as a country is even closer to the Philippines, with only 98 km between Xiao-Ian Yu (Taiwan) and the coast of Amianan (Philippines).

Memory is different from knowledge, and requires the ability to pull out knowledge that you do have at the right time, and that's a whole other thing which doesn't have anything to do with what you actually know or not.

Turkey DID NOT INVADE Cyprus. England, Turkey, and Greece were three guarantor states of the independence of Cyprus Republic. In 1970 The Greek Junta instigated a coup D'Etat to oust Makarios and accomplish Enosis, the union with Greece. Turkey used the international guarantor state rights to INTERFERE with Nicos Samson, the Greek puppet who displaced Makarios. Turkey then insisted on a Confederation so that events such as these will not happen again in the future.

I don't like saying it this way but I suppose we could say that America is slang for the U.S.A. Mexicans refer to Americans as Norte Americanos. Together Canada, the U.S.A., Mexico, and the countries within Central and South America are the Americas but in general usage only the U.S.A. is called America.
