FILM DESCRIPTION:
Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan) never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) and asks the retired champ to be his trainer. Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky's help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.

When he stands up and the Rocky theme plays still gives me chills, I remember the cinema started cheering when that happened.
Same happened on my cinema!
When that happens, you know it’s on!
Same thing happened here in Genoa , Italy
It was a brilliant move. Rocky gave that tear jerking speech, and then the opening notes of “Gonna Fly Now” were a perfect transition into the climactic final round! That was one of the few times I smiled in a mostly very tense movie.
I honestly regret not having watched this in the movie theater
4k tv is better quality
modern crap
You’d only enjoy it for the sound quality. That’s the main thing that really stuck out in the theater. Every punch sounded like it damn near broke something.
Me too
Agreed, I wasn’t able to see this one or the second one lol
Might not get to see the third cuz I might be meeting my baby soon
Love how we don’t hear that rocky theme until Donnie earned it
Great stuff
“Throwing body shots like he’s Rocky Balboa!
Going upstairs like he’s Apollo Creed!”
Never gets old.
I get chills
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Meat locker
I rewatch this scene JUST for that line. Love it.
@@tmann7064 Same! The other part that really moves me is Adonis helping Rocky up the stairs at the end. It's sad and beautiful. No matter how mighty we are, time comes for us all.
Yep it never does
I like how they use the classic victory song at the end of the fight just like in Creed III
Creed 3 was good but they didn't mention Rocky at all
@@judytripp4111 they did but only his fight with Apollo
@@tonylopez5413 Damn I thought they respected the source material one way or another. But. Nevertheless they did respectfully pass the torch to Michael B. Jordon and the new generation.
@@ManyPeregrine81 true
@@ManyPeregrine81 would’ve liked to have maybe a phone call as the turning point in Donnie’s resolve in the movie rather than the specific thing that actually happens ( y’all know what happens) I feel it was kind of unnecessary to do what they did but that’s just me. A phone call with rocky would’ve been way more impactful than what they actually did.
The NYT review of Creed has a great intro: “At a recent screening of “Creed,” as the familiar fanfare of Bill Conti’s beloved “Rocky” score signaled the start of the final round of the big fight, the audience burst into spontaneous applause. This was no sneak-preview crowd, primed with free admission and popcorn, but a room full of critics and journalists armored in professional skepticism. A cynic might say that the cheering was a Pavlovian reflex set off by a piece of commercial entertainment in the hands of a skilled, manipulative director. This cynic, however, was too busy choking up and clapping to form the thought.”
Jesus christ what an intro. What a way to sell this movie
That moment Rocky song plays, was magical, the cinema bursted into spontaneous applause, I'll never forget that
When that song went off at the beginning.....the torch is passed
Honestly been a rocky fan because of my late grandma, but I absolutely love the new direction it’s going with the creed series
Words cannot describe the emotions I felt in that theater when Rocky's theme played
Im gonna go to watch Creed 3 in theatre damn what a talented actor💯💯💯
Just when you thought you were hyped enough, they throw the last ten seconds on the screen with the fanfare BLOWING UP 🔥🔥
Ouch his eye in the beginning I can feel the pain😩
Creed 3 was great but this is still the best one. Got the best boxing, and was more grounded
No
It is @@Penguinzero1
@@Gokuagiota_1998nope 😂
The rush of emotion I felt watching this scene in theaters hasn’t been replicated. Just amazing
I cannot WAIT to watch Creed III, I need to catch up in the franchise.
1ST 2015 LEGEND
Really amazing 🔥❤️🔥
Cut me Mick, cut me!
Love love love CREED
When you hear that music the bad guy is about to get dropped 😂
Toda a emoção que faltou em Creed 3 sobrou nessa cena de 2 minutos.
0:09 Jim Lampley: Round 12 begins. Virtually, no one outside of Adonis Creed's family and group of friends would ever have expected to see him in our 12th round against "Pretty" Ricky Conlan, and trading shots as they come to these last 3 minutes.
0:58 Max Kellerman: Creed spins! Puts the champ in the corner! Throwing body shots like he's Rocky Balboa! Going upstairs like he's Apollo Creed! Closing seconds of the fight.
1:16 Max Kellerman: Conlan is down. That is the first time in his career he's been on the canvas. You cannot be saved by the bell in the 12th and final round.
Jim Lampley: Dramatic count in Liverpool. He must get up to preserve his chance to win the fight.
1:35 Jim Lampley: The bell sounds, so Conlan survives the 12th round.
Max Kellerman: What a finish. If that round goes another 30 seconds, we may have a new champion.
Jim Lampley: An unforgettable fight on an unforgettable night. He's no longer just the namesake of Apollo Creed, he's the living embodiment.
Thank you
"That's what i am talking about"🤣🤣
Nice video idol
I like this movie and espectacular actuation of Silvester Stallone Rocky for Ever
Yeah this movie was better then thought. Now got watch next 2

"Time beats everybody" - Rocky Balboa

I remember sitting in the movies and i heard that rock bell ringing. 0:15
This movie felt like a worthy continuation of the original films.
this movie looks crazy
this was the first movie to draw me back into theaters since the 3rd fast n furious film
I think I would be crying if that was me
Wow that’s like crazy-

I wish there was more music and less talking like in Rocky, but nonetheless beautiful.
He is rocky with style and black
Does blocking not exist in this universe?

Just gotta give props to Tony Bellew for playing a great villain.
This movie ranks second among the rocky movies In my opinion. It does everything right

Hands down to Adonis Creed 💯😍
Better to Watch this Than RUclipsrs Fight
Song?
Man got more folded than a piece of paper 1:09
I wonder if Dame ever saw this fight when he was in prison
Really a missed opportunity to not include his discussion with Rocky right before this
If i would of known these creed movies was connected to the rocky movies 😭

Ryan Coogler should've left the MCU after the first BLACK PANTHER
He has more to offer
So this ends the same as every other rocky movie ever made. Well I'm glad that I never saw that one.
How else did you think it would win?
Same story every boxing movie
Boxing or wrestling.. Which is acting? 🤔
Whichever the audience say so.
Why are they not face guarding

I'm glad I haven't watched it yet
I. Onstle shod not wachd it

:)
Why was Conlan the one to win he was knocked down?
In boxing, judges score each round individually, on a 10-point scale. Most rounds are scored 10-9, with the boxer who did better scoring 10 and winning the round, with the other fighter scoring 9.
If a boxer is knocked down or hurt enough to prompt a standing count from the referee, that fighter loses a point. So, if a boxer dominates a round, controlling and landing better punches throughout, and also knocks their opponent down, the end result is a 10-8 round.
In rare cases, a round can be scored 10-10 if both boxers were equally good in the round.
Conlan completely dominated the first round, and had 2 knockdowns on Creed, so that's 3 rounds he won right there, and he probably won some of the middle rounds that the movie skimmed over.

Mauvais film, au bout de 10min on sait déjà qu’il va finir champion à la fin du film
The Russian deserve the title well American movie soo their Hero always win the Russians.
I love Rocky but this is cringe
So what makes it cringe?
@@proxywolf2006 prob the realism, doubt they watch real boxing
Realism 😆
For realism, watch Nigel Benn v Gerarld Mc Clellan. After that, try Chris Eubank v Michael Eatson.
Michael Watson rather.
Gosh this movie is a disgrace to the actual sport of boxing
The fighting in this looks like a cartoon compared to the nearly 50-year-old movie it stems from. Gonna go back and watch the original to get the taste of this out of my mouth.
Yeah, I love how in the original Rocky, all the punches are clearly missing by several feet, with sound effects straight out of Tom & Jerry. That's what real cinema was.
Just seems like you just have a extreme bias
@@leonkuwata4510 the fighting looked unrealistic, u guys should watch real boxing
@@allmight5919 Sure. It's a movie. But compared to the first Rocky, this is pure authenticity lol.
