10:39 my tank was included yay! I got this turtle as a gift from my grandma which she bought off the street. I had no idea how take care of it and I just followed the advice she got from the street vendor along with the food provided with it. The turtle was in a plastic container and it was small so I wanted to get him a bigger setup, and that's when I found your videos and it changed my whole turtle's life around! I've started to introduce lettuce to him and he loves it! I've heard that's not always the case with some turtles lol
I have a question what lettuce did you use to introduce your turtle too? I want to get him some lettuce but I'm not sure what lettuce, I've done research for example it said this lettuce is safe and then the next it said it wasn't safe. If you could reply, that would be amazing.
Kiwi’s mom here, thank you for adding her to your video! we are both very excited! her lights are on a screen with holes cut out so she gets all her uvb and uva! also she may or may not be getting some extra ornaments for her tank for christmas😉 just wanted to make sure she was staying healthy💚 thank you again!
Loved this video. My son in law found 4 tiny midland paint turtles on his construction site. Their home was destroyed but he saved them. And now I am taking them over. I apparently need to get them a ubb light. He had a heat lamp. So I’m a brand new turtle Nana and I love getting information and ideas from everyone who sends in pictures. Thanks to you and all of them! I now have a goal of an amazing turtle set up. I’ll be back with lots of questions I’m sure
i am so excited because i might be getting a turtle THIS WEEK! Ive been doing research for the past few months and your channel has helped me a lot. tysm!
Hi, yes in new zealand we are able to buy a tank with a basking area included, it’s called “glass turtle tank with ramp” at a place called hollywood fish farm 😁
Hi! I love your series “reacting to turtle tanks.” Can you do something similar for leopard gecko tanks? You seem to know a lot more about them than me!🤣😂
12:30 NO WAY THAT ONE IS MY TANK thank you so much I'm so happy to be included also about the table, we did have a category 5 a while ago and it was still standing 😅
I have two baby turtles and have spongebob decorations. A few days ago Crush (the smaller one) managed to get inside of the pineapple and Toto (the bigger one) tried getting in there too and got stuck but he’s big enough to move the pineapple around and basically just kept Crush locked in there dragging him around the tank before I took the pineapple off of Toto.
i have two red eared sliders. I dont use a water heater and they seem to be perfectly fine. I also live in Las Vegas and in the summer the water stays around 76-78 degrees. I've noticed in the winter here the water goes to 70-72 degrees. They seem perfectly happy and go in and out of the water like normal. I havent even turned the heat on in the house yet and its been in the 70s during the day and 40s at night.
I love your turtle tank reaction videos💕🐢. It give me really good ideas for my tank design for my turtle (I accidentally broke mine while cleaning it)😓
I have a 10 gallon as of right now for my mud turtle, I plan on upgrading to a 20 gallon tank but right now, I want to get a little more decor so he could explore because all he has is his lights, filter, heater and basking, and rocks, and two plants, he's pretty happy now but yeah.
I may not have a turtle but I still love watching all your vids. I found you by looking up inspiration and questions about my leopard gecko. I may have watched this video probably like 5 times already but I like to go back and rewatch old videos as I wait for a new one.

I'm thinking of getting a turtle for my 30 gallon it's over run with endler guppy's and I was wondering if the turtle would eat them and also what kind of turtle would be best at this plz reply
So I have the heat bulb over the basking and the UVB next to it, but not directly over the basking area. It does span the entire tank with light. Is that ok? TIA

I have the turtle topper on my tank, but it’s causing me trouble... my turtle likes to climb out of the tank, and if I fill the tank to the top, he can get over the edge. I have to fill it enough for him to get up the ramp, but I I can’t fill it much more. Does anyone have any advice? Should I have some kind of lid of something? I’m not really sure what to do.
Hi!! I have a red eared slider and he is very very active, he always wants to get out and walk around and I want him to have a friend. I've been wanting to possibly add a snail into my tank, any recommendations? I'm still new to this and I would love ideas even if Its decorations I can add, thanks!!!
He will eat the snail. I have a bunch of rams horn snails in my tank and she snacks on them whenever she can find them. Depending on the size of you tank a regular pleco may work. Mine are constantly interacting and it's pretty cute.
Any snail smaller than the turtle's head is likely to get eaten...honestly, turtle "friends" are hit and miss, although a few livebearers, like guppies or platies, are worth a shot!
Hi there! If I’ve already submitted a form for turtle set up but you didn’t use it in this video, will you use it in the next video, or do I need to submit another form? Thanks 😊
well, depends on the situation, in my opinion. Is the 4hrs of sunlight because of a window? Outdoors? Do you have to move the turtles in order to get the sunlight, or do they just have free access during that time period?
@@TheTurtleGirl the sunlight is direct outside which is natural because turtles are not having a window and uvb in wild so what do you think ma'am is it right ?
Use zip ties to tie your plants to your sticks or rocks to stop your turtle from moving them so much! I got a 10 inch yellow belly and she’ll (shell lol) destroy her decorations in a second
My tank isn’t included ... :( . no just kidding :). I think a 100% waterchange isn’t nessecary, but I think it’s not that bad. (Note: only my knowledge) The most good bacteria aren’t floating around in the water. They are in the filter, and stick to the things within the aquarium, gravel, plants, decoration. So when you change all the water, they are still in the tank and can work. I do 50% a week :)
There will be more episodes! Yes true that the bacteria grows on all surfaces within the tank, but also when exposed to all new water in the system, particularly if you don't dechlorinate, that bacteria can be flushed out/killed by the new water (at least, so I've heard) and I do tend to notice more cloudy water/bacteria blooms the more water I change. So hence, I stick to my 30-50% bi-weekly :)
@@TheTurtleGirl here in Germany we have non to very little chlorine in tap water. So it makes sense! I wouldn’t do 100% also for not stressig out the turtle :)
