I couldn't agree more. Limit what you share of your private life. Not everyone wishes you well, and the more people know about you, the more entitled the feel to opinions about your life.

sharing was how influencers were making their money back then. Now they can just do ad and pnly make videos with paid sponsorship. but 10 yrs ago if you werent sharing real life, no one was watching. Even today, a lot of people are trying to come up on social media by oversharing. It's jsut the game. You play it for a few yrs then shut it down and only post when paid to. The TY ad revenue isnt enough anyhow, sponsored content is what really pays
It's the price you pay for fame...don't put your business out there,where nobody ask/push you;then when something happens...you suddenly start to 'drop words at the people who've stood by you,all these years,most of the vlogs currently are ads...and people are still committed .Attack the people coming directly for YOU!!
Good on you for wanting to keep things private. But I feel like influencers decide to stop sharing things right after a breakup. The pattern goes: oversharing then breakup then intense bouts of self-love, cue lots of posts about how we need to take care of number one then a YT post announcing that people are nosy, never sharing anything again etc. It’s a formula at this point, I’m seeing this everywhere for some reason!

Clearly, the lifestyle influencers private life is their CAREER/BUSINESS - nine and a half times out of ten. They put it all out there, milk it for every penny they can get then jump on the privacy bandwagon when they divorce or break up because the wonderful life and illusion of authenticity they were selling and making bank from is all collapsed.

I know people are really excited to share their kids, but please don’t post their full government name and DOB online. Identity theft can ruin their whole life. Even private accounts, never forget that 90% of victims know the perpetrator.

Although I have watched RUclips for years and have consumed a lot of videos regarding folks private lives I did kinda cringe at times when I would see folks exposing very intimate details of their lives on the internet to thousands of people. It’s just not wise to expose your life to strangers in such detail - something has to be sacred, especially folks kids. I would never expose my children on the internet too many creeps out there - this video is giving some good advice more video content creators should take heed

Patti was definitely an over-sharer. That delivery vlog of Nova was wild. But we love the openness. I think the nosiness comes from people not seeing Mike and wondering if you're together. Can't be surprised when you share your hubby then dont and people wonder where has he been. part of being an influencer is being personable (to a certain degree). But I get where you're coming from. I dont even share my kids on social media thats only my friends...nope. privacy always..but im also not an influencer. But lets be real, you only make sponsored content and all your instagram content is you flexing or promoting a product. I get it, its your job, no critique..just saying

I’m a nobody and when I was pregnant I didn’t tell a soul but family and close friends. If someone asked on social media because they heard from someone else, I would tell them. I was in my final few weeks before I ever made any comments relating to pregnancy and when I gave birth I shared a picture when my baby was christened. I’m just saying if me a nobody can value my privacy I don’t understand how public figures don’t. Fans don’t need to know your whole life. When you let them in too far it’s hard to keep them out later. Nothing wrong with holding the precious and emotional close to home.
Peakmill is one private woman on this youtube. No one even knew she was expecting. We saw her baby when she was about 2 years old. Even her marriage was private. In fact, she made a video saying, "i got married and had a baby"😂😂😂. People were shocked because they expected to see a 2 day old baby. The baby was 2 years old.
Look what y’all done did…I’ve realized that creators that I grew with have all rebranded to being more private about their lives…I understand but I’m not sure how I personally feel about it…I’m personally super private…which is why while I thought being a creator was awesome, and I wanted to do it…I also don’t think I could…but that’s why I admired your bravery which is also why you’re also more successful

It's obvious that her and her husband are not together because, as a wife myself, i would have hushed the rumor that my husband and i are no longer married. It's a quick come one guy me and Mike are locked in, and we have just decided to no longer document or post marriage on social media.

Live and learn! Yeah she made money back then, but she was younger, the Internet has changed & she has adjusted her boundaries to what keeps her real life healthy & thriving. Oversharing comes at a cost & this info is out there forever. It's kinda like sharing a nude, in the moment it was good, you liked and trusted that person, but when the relationship ends, you might have some regrets, you might not want that person having that personal photo & you can't always control what they do with it.
