Lester K rotary vs Nord Stage 4 internal B3 sim (try to use headphones on this one!)

- To me Lester K sounds much, much better overall! It is very warm and does not have this "digital" sterile sound Nord's internal sim has.
P.S. I have tried it on Stage 2, Stage 3, Electro 5 and results are the same - Lester K is much better.
Your comments are always welcome!!!

Thanks for your review, I will grab one for my NS4... best regards!!!
Running a Lester K on my vintage '79 Korg CX3. I am very happy with mine and for the price can't be beat.
Cool, there is always a place for vintage gear in the studio
Huge Difference! Sounds really warm, got me sold :0) 😁 Real shame they don't have a jack input to control it with a half moon switch.
Agree, jack for remote would be nice. I had to mod it and make my own jack..
It’s like day and night (I made the same experience and only play with the Lester K since then). The internal sim has no space/width, especially because the internal reverb is mono. I also love the crunchy distortion of the Lester.
Just bought one because I discovered it from you 🙏
Hope you like it as much as I do!
So much bassier and more 3D. If it makes a difference in a higher end keyboard, I imagine it would be night and day on my older clones (Nord Electro 2, Korg CX3, Roland VR09). I suspect less impact on that last one, as the sim is good already.
How does the Lester k sound over the 3x organ sounds?
I agree that the Lester K sounds superior, but this isn’t a fair comparison: apparently, you didn‘t pan the Nord stereo outputs properly, so we’re unable to hear the Nord's Leslie sim "swirl" in full stereo. Instead, it feels kind of narrow in the stereo panorama, which makes the full stereo spread of the Lester K shine, of course.
By the way, your voice mic should be panned to the stereo center, for more comfortable listening on headphones.
Thanks, I appreciate it, and you are absolutely correct about Nord SIM - my bad, one of the cables got disconnected - DUH! As for my mic - it was at the center, let me check it again! Thanks, man!!!
i honestly don't hear the spatial effect with the internal sim, but the Leslie effect is pronounced with the Lester K.
Totally agree.
