The honor 70 is actually away lighter than any phone I've had in the last 3 year's even lighter than my old phone and it was only 6 inch but I get what you're saying most phones these days you can't out them onto your pocket and its a struggle really at time's

@@Jerome-iwnl indeed. Older phones were trash back in the days, battery was very small, android was very unoptimized, the majority of phones had TN 480p display with less PPI, and IPS were reserved to flagship phones

Looks like they are still using the Huawei design which is great loved the p50 design. I've moved to a Microsoft Duo now and never see myself going back to a single screen phone again but ide definitely look at this if I do..
James, I had to give up my Blackberry Passport and have not been the same since. I'm considering the Duo 2 if I find one, and nothing else interests me at all. I believe I'd be happiest with it's performance nearest to my BB. What do you find negative about the Duo if anything? Thanks for your help.
@@toolbar2345 I have the original duo as I perfer the setup of this without the camera bump over the duo 2. I do have the odd issue with screens not coming on but not often and has got better with updates. I don't think the duo 2 has the same issue. The camera is not amazing on the orignal too but it dose what I need it to as I mot a big camera user.
You get some funny app aspects but this is due to them not being updated for the. Duos screens. I personally have never enjoyed a phone so much as the duo. Battery has been great only thing you need to think of is that it is a different way of working over other phones but once you get the hang it's really easy to use ect.

Its a oled screen and its gorilla glass 5 its not the best but happy with it most phones at this price are normally cheap plastic or just normal glass

Does @HonorGlobal devices get timely @Android security and software updates (much like Samsung's S-Series or Google Pixels) ?
My last Honor device was the 5X. I was eventually able to keep its software updated via Custom ROMs.

Most people should definitely be buying phones that $500 and less. They have everything the average person needs honestly. It will also teach tech companies to stop taking away features and hardware that we need and want (headphone jacks, sd slots, IR blasters, and chargers in the box).
So true like the honor 70 there it's everything you need in a phone and good for gaming and everything really but I've noticed people think there better than everyone else because thay have something expensive that most people can't afford to pay like 1000 dollars

I've did a lot of research and honestly the honor 70 is the best midrange phone I've seen in a long and amazing specs and it has the New Sony 54mp camera that's better than most 108mp cameras so its probably one of the best midrange cameras rite now

Because the components of these phones are relatively cheap and most of the "cost" is an overhead for the company. Do you think there's anywhere close $1000 worth of hardware in any given iPhone or Samsung?

Snapdragon 778g is Good yes but you will notice it with heavier Games. Its just not on Flaggshiff Level Processors.

It's barely noticeable after playing for 5 minutes medium is good enough and not only that only Snapdragon 8 gen 2 might be able to play heavy games like genshin without needing a fan or cooler for a constant 60-55 FPS without heating to 54 c so I think the 778 g and 870 are flagship chips,after Snapdragon 845 more processing power is useless,the 845 is still a good chip so I think 778 g is more than enough

Not really its pretty great for a midrange phone and the Huawei p30 pro feels slow and sluggish because of only 60hz screen and the software are really similar because Huawei use to own honor brand and the software is great so why charge it

Poco F4is a much better phone and cheaper to, better screen, quad speakers, better processor, brighter, go for the Poco f4 if you want a mid ranger at a decent price.
Poco f4 gt is semi-gamer phone with a powerfull processor and perfect cooling but it has a worse camera and its display is at a lower level besides it looks like a child's toy. Both are close in price so compromises have been made.
Manufacturers are able to make a large amount of profit from each device based on many different ways. #1 being that a smartphone that's sold for $500 only costs the manufacturer $75-$125 to produce.

Curved screen . It will crack if you look at it the wrong way. Glass is glass and glass breaks, and if it's curved, it's weaker than not curved and will therefore break too easily.
Yeah but just get a phone case and get a decent screen protector then don't have to worry
@@tyicbranch2734 You're assuming that those items would stop a curved screen from breaking. In my experience they don't ! Oh, and curved screen protectors never seem to stick to the curved edged properly either.
@@Nite-owl I actually have a screen protector on right now and it fits perfectly and I've had curved screen on phones before And had no problems with a phone case and screen protector it just depends what case because some don't work I did research and a good quality rubber cases work better than most cases out there I now what I'm talking about I use to work with phones and other Tek

I'll wait for the price of the Oppo Find X5 or Find X5 PRO to come down. This phone is too outdated with the price it's charging. A few things that the review didn't mention, there's no 4K60p video, both the CPU and GPU are older or lower tier compared to even the normal Find X5, and the USB-C is still USB 2.0 LOL!
These newer phones with those absolutely ugly camera bulges makes me not even care about new phones. The cameras look ridiculous and imo totally unnecessary.

The point I was trying to make was that if we assume the manufacturers don't set out to try to make their phones look ugly, there must be some reason, presumably technological, at least in part, why the camera is set the way it is, given that in various ways they are all proud of the surface and in some block form. I have the Note 10+ and I'm aware, as will be you, that the technology, if not the apparent aesthetics, have come on a long way since the 10 and the 21.

The Motorola edge 20 has the same processor and a better screen and it has a full zoom camera 108 megapixel main and an ultra wide. Much better and also thinner and also cost 349 pounds

Poco/Realme/Redmi/Xiaomi usually put up better SoCs for price range but their build and cameras usually suck. they look like phones form 2010 with jerkey cameras and huge bezels and chins.
The camera is unbeatable tho and emui/magic ui is more stable and polished than mi/poco UI,mi developers can't even put a polished animation properly and they purposely make the updates have bloated coding so that the phones get slower and Xiaomi/poco usually have spyware inside they're phone and monitoring anything you say about the CCP,so personally I'd still take a poco but saying poco /mi is better is only valid if you change the rom

I thought the same thing I got a Poco phone and had nothing but bugs and lags and people I recommend the phone to got the same problem and it has videos on RUclips about it its a shame because it has good specs

It really isn't. I miss when? Honor used to make good phones like the 20 Pro which had a good screen flagship processor, a good main camera, an ultrawide camera and a zoom. I mean this has a depth sensor at this price which is terrible and a mid-range chipset that's from last year. Not even new. Very disappointed
