It would’ve been really helpful if you did a 12 hour wear test!! Sometimes the more expensive products wear better throughout the day than cheaper alternatives. Would’ve loved to have compared!!
Yes I agree! Was gonna comment the same thing ! My fave is a review after applying, once or twice during the day while out and about and very end before taking it off. Tells so much about the quality & wear. 😊
I completely agree and it's a shame I think it would be so informative. I used to be a big fan of that morphe eye palette but after 3 hours it's gone. Now I use Anastasia and it's there 8am till 8pm when I take it off. I'm also looking for new long lasting lip products. I have this morphe lip liner at the moment but it's gone in an hour
Okay, I know we're lowkey roasting Pat McGrath right now but look at the difference in your eye color with the different shadows, the purple looks so good on your brown eyes!!!
I think this just goes to show that some lighting and a camera can make anything look good. Maybe if we saw true close ups, we could see the creasing or any flaws in the makeup, but to me they both appeared to be flawless
I think you also need to test the durability by making a little update at the end after 8 hrs o something of wear. Both sides look the same, really good on you. But the truth is that even drugstore makeup is getting expensive, and I like to see a video about expensive vs. drugstore. Thanks ❤❤bye bye
Personally, I think the Pat McGrath is better than the morphe side you can see even over the camera the eyeshadow is less patchy and the glittery is a higher quality
@@kelqueen9998PMG is like a "Treat yourself" kinda brand. Can you get a better performing high-end palette for less? Of course! I always forget just how good UD shadows are because I don't use my basics that often, but they're GOOD. And I got mine for like 30 CAD on sale. But does the packaging and presentation match up to PMG mothership? Absolutely not!
With beauty products, it’s not just the ingredients that define the product. The product’s formulation heavily impacts how it performs. So while two products may have very similar ingredient lists, the way in which the ingredients are implemented, as well as the grade and sourcing of each ingredient, can cause differences in their performances. Additionally, production cost are also impacted by formulation methods, not just the cost of ingredients. Quality and sourcing of ingredients also results in variations in cost for the same ingredient. The Westman Atelier powder is surprisingly great for dry skin! Honestly, I felt a bit guilty about owning so many of the expensive products you've tried, but I think both sides look amazing on you. I would suggest showing a WEAR TEST, seeing how the makeup does throughout the day instead just when you finish your makeup? Because for me sometimes more expensive products looks way better after all day use then cheaper products were they having a tendency to wear down and melt after a while and not look good.
@ Exactly that’s why I don’t really take much much from video that don’t do wear test. There are many makeup products that look amazing initially when put on but will literally disappear or look horrible in only a couple of hours.

It took me like a third of the video to realize it was specifically the cheapest/most expensive from Sephora. Bc I was like, "where are the walmart and dollar store brands I usually buy from? They're definitely less expensive." For affordable, not necessarily the absolute cheapest, but good quality, elf and milani are my go-to's. Absolutely recommend for anyone on a makeup budget.
Ah, okay, I also commented about that. I honestly decided to watch because I thought "least expensive" was going to be $10 or less. Can't imagine spending $20 on blush, personally, not that I wear it.
@faizaanwar3662 i think it also depends on your skin type and environment because I used to have very oily skin and live in a very humid environment; nothing would last on me. But then I took accutane twice and moved to the desert, and my skin is normal now, and my makeup lasts all day.
For a video in the future, I would love to see a sort of best rated! Like on lots of blogs they give you their favorite product and a drugstore dupe- I think it would be fun to see how the “favorites” match up!
Loved the video, Mia! Just wanted to let you know that you should be able to return the broken eyeshadow palette without a problem! Sephora is pretty great with returns.
That was a shipping issue. That was one of Pat McGraths special shades that is baked and baked products are notoriously fragile. Sephora is terrible at shipping and usually just throw everything in a box with some paper and call it a day. When I buy directly from PM they use multiple layers of bubble wrap and put lots of filler in the box so the palette doesn't move in shipping. I've never had a problem with anything from them being broken.
I think you would love a makeup brand we have in germany: Essence makeup. They are cruelty free, vegan and affordable and a go to for so many makeup lovers here 🥰
I personally think that the contour, blush and eyeliner looks better on the more expensive side, but the eyeshadow looks better on the less expensive side. I'm shocked at how similar the concealer and foundations look though! Both sides look great overall💕
In the end. I really truly think the more expensive side looked better. The eyeshadow on Sephora side looked cheap. The sparkle was to big with made it look shiny and it just makes it look like costume makeup for cheer or dance

I was waiting for a wear test but the video ended 😩 Especially after your comment about more expensive lip liners tending to last longer I was hoping for a 4-8 hours later up date! Because honestly longevity of makeup is more important than how it applies/looks at first. 😅

Mia! I would love to see you review “clean” makeup products. I have sensitive skin and try to wear products with less chemicals. There’s so many options now at ulta and Sephora and would love to see you compare them!❤
I second this request!!! I pretty much only use clean makeup products now that my skin is more sensitive... I can't even use drugstore products anymore.
Pat McGrath makeup may look the same as less expensive makeup, but it holds up INFINITELY better than other brands. Like you could jump into a pool and it would still look perfect. I think there’s more things to compare than just how they look similar. How they wear in extreme use or over time would be cool too. ❤

In the end. I really truly think the more expensive side looked better. The eyeshadow on Sephora side looked cheap. The sparkle was to big with made it look shiny and it just makes it look like costume makeup for cheer or dance
Hehehe was already watching an old video and got your notifications of a new upload 🤭💗
My husband is low key one of your biggest fans. He somehow will show up when I'm watching you. He's a humor connoisseur and even he agrees you're so funny. It's high praise. 🤣 You'll often say something he overhears and he'll have to come and watch the whole video. And because of you he now wants drunk goggles. Ha!
I'm actually shocked how costly the least expensive products of Sephora are 😂
oh i looooove comparison videos for makeup like thissss
I love Mia getting more sassy about reviewing things. Her opinions on the astronomical prices were so accurate and so funny😂
it's a good day when mia maples uploads!!
Mia makeup videos hits different❤❤❤
I'm so happy that she posted this video, it's a treat for me.. hoping to see more of makeup videos❤❤❤
Mia can you a full face of the most expensive makeup at the drugstore vs the cheapest??
If I miss the launch of these sweatpants I will never forgive myself!!
Freaking love Pat's shimmer shadows!
The sigh of relief when I saw the video , made my day
I was waiting for a wear test but the video ended 😩
Especially after your comment about more expensive lip liners tending to last longer I was hoping for a 4-8 hours later up date! Because honestly longevity of makeup is more important than how it applies/looks at first. 😅
Mia please stay nice!! I watch you because you're nice and chill. There are plenty of angry sassy or loud youtubers for folks who want that and they should seek that out instead of trying to change you ❤
20:20 omg MIA i love this hahaha i am actually laughing out loud about this right now like frr i love you so much
Mia right here just making our day again 💖
I love your videos! So wholesome and REAL in a world that has become so fake😭🫶🏼 keep being you Mia! 🩷
7:33 Mia, you are Canadian...surely you should know how to pronounce atelier😂
I thought the same 😂 but does every province in Canada have French classes in school?
I’m still forever a highlight queen 😂 I think you should do an Ulta video in this format as they’ve got both drugstore and high end products.
finally we got mias intro back really missed that couldnt bear to watch last video mia we really love everything keep it up we love every version of you its just old is gold
im so OBSESSED with the look mia went for with this one 😭😭 SO CUTEEEEE
Mia is the queen of ethical products. She is so logical and smart about what she recommends. The perfect youtuber.
The eyeshadows are stunning! You should definitely do more eyeshadow looks 🤩
To be fair, pat mcgrath has a base you should use specifically for their eye shadow and it does make a difference
You ever get watching a Mia Maples video and a couple minutes in you’re like, “this is so fun, I should like the video” and then find you already have?? I’m only five minutes in 😂 You’re great, Mia! So excited to see the sweat pants!
Early gang. Mia is my comfort youtuber honestly I've been watching her for over 5 years and I even think her videos helped me to learn english as i am bulgarian. Lots of love for Mia and mama Maples!
Wow I love that!!
I agreee!!! If I'm down I always always am here to watch any of Mia's vids❤🥺
Mia wearing a 2-tone sweater goes along so well with the theme of doing different makeup on each side and it’s so cute 😂
Your hair is growing so fast!
IVE MISSED THE TALKING IM SO HAPPY ITS BACK YAYY
mia is so dedicated shes willing to drop this much money on one video.. gotta love her hahaha
Mia, *please* test out essence cosmetics/skincare!! They're really affordable and cruelty free!!
Yeah love their lip oils and mascaras
Here’s an interesting fact: Highly attractive women are uncommon because the Kyra James’s Goddess Method isn’t widely known.
Oh me what am i doing? Watching mia maples and playing animal crossing with the big light off.
Actually an underrated combo
