They could have but they were hitting the ball into the net or softly .When it was time to take the ball down Waters had no problems she was an aggressive player. They want it all soft .. PARENTEAU IS WEAK ATTACK HER KEEP THE AWAY FROM WATERS...
Dave Fleming always explaining to us that the dudes respect the hands and that is why the methodical almost boringly long dink rallies that ensue. Well any team that comes up against Waters and Parenteau ought to look hard at film and see that what is likely to beat ALW are long, perfectly executed dink rallies. Anything coming into her even remotely high is just annihilated by her two handed strokes
You would think by now after losing to Waters and Parenteau every tournament they would study film and up their skills . But both are intimidated by WATERS ..🤦

ALW/CP often end up playing each other in singles finals, too. They are the two best women in the game. Their skills compliment each other, too. CP best defender; ALW best offensive aggressor.
25:48 Irvine yells with enthusiasm after making two passing shots to ALW's backhand. Parenteau also gives a yell after making a good shot right after Irvine's first winner. After Irvine's 2nd winner, ALW reacts by yelling back when Irvine hits a ball out.

Why do the announcers always tell us the outcome of the other matches? So annoying. It’s no fun to watch a match when you already know who is going to win.

Man all the pros play so weird, and a lot of people me or me and my buddy vs. I’m telling u man. Why does every body play up by kitchen, like how many people do I have to destroy singles or doubles dic, I have dominated every single person I play, indoor or outdoor, pickleball doubles with my buddy, we never lost or singles, I still never lost. People playing up is so bad. Playing back way back baseline is the way to play. Man better safer more fun. U get so much more time to react to the ball better positioning better ball placement angles too. Me and my by buddy have mastered every single spin shot there is wicked spin. If you play up and just me singles or me and my buddy doubles, if we’re back, we’re hitting power shots at you with wicked spin and if it hits u sorry, it’s your own fault, your in the strike zone. And with are wicked spin shots we’re gonna hit it straight at u or down the middle or those corner outside lines man works like a charm. Or we’re gonna lob over your head, then u run back, then we drop shot, then over your head, then drop shot, then power wicked spin shot, then drop shot, then wicked spin shot like your done. And by the time we hit are wicked spin shot, your racket when it makes contact with the ball is gonna go 4 different ways either into the net or u miss the ball because it curved or whatever or the ball will go out or the ball goes over and you get it, the ball will most likely be a drop shot, then we just lob over your head and we keep going. And let the ball bounce always u have so much more control over the ball but if you hit it in mid air it’s random u never know what your gonna get. But pickleball is a great game.
The guy commentator is just obnoxious! I turn the volume off.
please film the entire court. irvine hit an ace and we didn't even see it because the camera was pointed at only half the court.
@ppatour It could be really helpful to discuss other match results during timeouts and breaks that are edited out of the replay. Otherwise, they are spoilers for anyone watching these.

Catherine and AL have the better hands and offense so just going aggressively at them non-stop is a bad strategy.
