Great competitive match. Although the game scores were lopsided the rallies were competitive and entertaining to watch.
Wow! This game was something else. It's a shame that one team had to lose. It's just that case when out of two best teams one just was the bestest.🙂. The pace of the rallies was so fast I had to check playback speed from time to time. I wish Ben Johns had the partner that ALW has.
What is with the terrible camera angles? They completely obfuscate the server or returner. Tennis had this figured out 20+ years ago.
I also don't get it. It's VERY frustrating.
Not only serves and returns, but also a LOT of balls near the baseline are out of the frame, and many aren’t shown on replay either.

Would not having the ability to set up camera at a higher vantage point in stands like tennis make a difference? The stadiums are much smaller in pball.
Parenteau is amazing. That Selkirk paddle is subpar yet she still wins gold.

As much as I love to watch ALW and Catherine play, I just wish they would get beaten for once! Great play by both sides though :)

AB and RR consistently stay 2-3' behind the kitchen and get into firefights. Very hard to win when you put yourself at such a disadvantage. ALW and CP keep their feet right at the kitchen for much better angles.

AB’s communication style on the court is annoying. It’s creating unnecessary anxiety for the partner. Let her focus and stop yelling at her to come run, come up etc…

Agreed. Anna Leigh is the dominant player and she calls the shots.
I’m sure her partner and her have discussed communicating during points. It may cause you anxiety or wouldn’t work best for you, but it works for them. Plenty of players communicate like this as a way to be engaged and not to “boss” their partner around. Let the players communicate and decide what is best for THEIR partnership.

CP finally got a partner that she wont dump like she has in the past.
CP & ALW have been playing together for 100+ matches. If you're referring to mixed, it's probably hard playing with other than the best, like she's used to.
Do these girls just get freaked out when they have to play ALW? Sure seems like it. I can't hardly wait til someone can , this monopoly is just too predictable . At least I can fast forward

Yeah, it's kinda sad to see tbh. I think the fame has gone to her head a little bit with her attitude and her unsportsmanlike conduct as of late. She is such a talented athlete, I wish she was a better role model.

I know the commentators say #1 in the world but let’s keep this in mind pickleball is not a world wide sport it’s big in North America only so she is really #1 in North America. She is an excellent player but again she is not competing against world wide athletes like tennis or other sports.
They are a little too enthusiastic...saying "yeah" after every point.
Wow AB needs to chill out yelling at her partners like GOOOO…sheesh. You, up, go, relentlessly my goodness let your partner play. There’s a big difference between partner communication and bossing them around.
most teams actually do at least 90% of this, just quieter. "up" for example is never bossing; you say "up" if you're hitting a drop because that means the other team can't speed it up so you have the chance to go up, and you should say "back" if you accidentally pop it up (which pros rarely do). They'll usually say nothing on a speedup. Especially if you're further back than your partner that becomes that much more important. I think it comes across more annoying because she's doing it louder than everyone else does it, but honestly the more I play, the more I wish my partner would communicate like that and the more I wish I could say without my partner thinking I'm bossing them around lol
AB, stop being so controlling on the court and leave that for your boyfriend Big Jimmy, gee, I feel sorry for the people in your life if you’re half as controlling there as you are on the court.
