Me and my sister lived like that, unfortunately. In the 90s, they didn't care to do things like investigate. They'd come over and interview us in front of my mom and step dad and then leave.....we learned after the first severe beating that they leave after you tell on your parents .....my trust for people has always been tough

But no one remembers unless they lived close by. It would have been massive nationwide news now though. Happened in base housing with a military family.
