    Never understand why the number of berths don’t match the number of travel seats ! . Peter, love your reviews, so thorough, I’m sure if you reviewed a telephone box it would be more than interesting- big fan 🦆💕

    Material already sagging on the captains chairs and it’s brand new….where the heck is the build quality

    Minute 16:50: I am a bit disappointed to see those electric cables run in the upper cabinets without any wood trim to hide them.

      The wrinkled driver/passenger seat covers look awful too. Swift’s attention to detail/build quality is still poor

    Thanks so much for the review. This is quite an interesting proposition for us. We've come to appreciate that thee most important consideration when undertaking such a considered purchase, is the layout. We're only a family of 3. Our son has special needs, so space is definitely a major consideration for us. I'm not a huge fan of cushions for beds, but I'd be prepared to have a custom-made memory foam mattress topper made to place on top of the cushions. I'm sure this could be stored in the garage when not in use. The only other potential stumbling block, would be the 8m max length restriction imposed by many UK sites. This Swift 764 is definitely worthy of major consideration. Thanks again for your insightful review.

      Maybe this type of layout (with two lounges) but with two drop-down beds then? Look out for our review of the Rimor Evo coming soon and go to www.outandaboutlive.co.uk for loads more motorhome content

      @@MotorhomeCampervan Thank you for the heads up. I will definitely keep my eye out for the Rimor.

    Great review as always. Bought a 674 6 months ago, love the layout but Swift quality leaves a lot to be desired. Had to go back to dealer for over 20 issues. Most problems would have been sorted if Swift did any sort of quality control.

    Ps. Can you tell whoever designs the ladders into top bunks to make them less painful to get up & down with bare feet! 😂

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 года назад +2

      These cheap ladders are pretty awful but very occasionally I have seen one with wider wooden steps - much better for the feet!

    Seat cushions never make the most comfy bed. Ok for a night or two , can’t beat a good quality mattress

    Just wondering why this van is cheaper than the Ecowagon Expo+VW T6.1? this one is so much bigger than the other ,maybe the Ecowagon has more features !

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 года назад

      Much more expensive base vehicle, plus pricey features like air suspension, inverter, sliding seat system, lithium batteries, etc. Coachbuilts (flat sides, etc) are easier to build, too.

    Great review! Any thoughts on how reasonable it would be to remove the travel seats to increase under-sofa storage?

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  2 года назад

      I think they could probably just be unbolted but you'd need to check with Swift or a dealer. You'd want them professionally reinstalled at resale time, too.

    90 litres for 5 people? Camp sites only for showering. Not particularly impressed as a family van.

    Wow, look at all the locker space at the front.....Oh wait...not a single one! Useless.

    • @MotorhomeCampervan
      @MotorhomeCampervan  Год назад

      The modern fashion is for an overcab sunroof, rather than lockers, but the best designs still offer a little overcab storage, too

    • @Arbitrator207
      @Arbitrator207 Год назад

      @@MotorhomeCampervan Granted, but I was thinking more about in the front lounge rather than the cab. Where on earth can you store all your day to day paraphernalia. Nothing under the benches and no overhead lockers. Shame because otherwise it is just what I am looking for.
