Something about this song and her voice reminds me of the 60’s group the Mama’s and the Papa’s. It’s new sounding yet old at the same time. Love it!
In an interview during one of her 2014 KEXP performances, she mentioned that the Everly Brothers, and The Mama's and The Papa's, were a big influence where she was young, and that's reflected in the vocal harmonies of her songs.
