Kids don’t belong in bars, this used to be common sense
? In the 80s they let kids play in the parking lot while their parents got tanked.
As a mother of 3, this seems reasonable. There are plenty of great options that welcome children. It's okay to have adult spaces, too.
But not to set precedents of creating bans on groups of ppl ..!! Ppl shouldn’t be taking kids to bars in the first place.
@@Sheikhina you're kidding right? Don't bars already ban everyone under 21?
@@SheikhinaI dont think that’s even a related issue. Why would you allow children in an establishment that serves and sells a regulated substance?
Those on both sides of this are just ridiculous. People, just go about your business and live your lives. If a sign says no kids, then no kids. It’s not the end of the world either way. You read the sign and you don’t like it, stop talking and keep walking.
@@xerxestelevision6666it’s just narcissists demanding to impose on others
I never understood why people want to take their small children to the bar
Kids at a bar specifically makes no sense
But this convo started with ppl wanting kids out of grocery stores and coffee shops ... Bri was late to the twitter Sh*t show
Because they want to go to a bar. How is that hard to understand?
@@bsmith437apparently just as hard to understand small children do not belong in a bar atmosphere
I didn’t know they were allowed to
@@capttrips1523 hey I didn’t say I take my kids to a bar I just said it’s easy to see the motivation.
Isn’t it better to protect children from drunks?
Drunks can be more annoying than kids.
@@SmartDave60drunks almost always are
Only drunks bring thier kids to the bar😂
@@MrAlripkenonly people without kids think only drunks bring their kids to the bar. Have you ever played pool? It could be regional but most bars have a gimmick outside of drinking. They have sports bars, axe throwing. Bingo.
Insane
Who is the creep out there wanting MORE kids at bars? Maybe put that dude on a watch list.
Brie said it was a woman.
What about the 6 year old that identifies as a 50 year old alcoholic?
No kids at bars if the establishment doesnt want them there. No dogs either!
Not even at dog park bars?
Not even service dogs?
I'm in favor of bad parent free zones.
That’s 80-90% of parents. Conservative parents in particular are extremely insane.
I feel for kids nowadays, they're basically treated like rhetorical ammunition in our culture war. Can't help wonder what it'll do to them long term.
I agree with you but it's not exactly new. Remember The Simpsons "Why doesn't somebody please think of the children?" line?
I think this one is a fake controversy though. No one cares.
It was really nice to see Bri and Robby getting a long so well and even agreeing with each other this time 😄
The shared annoyance of small children in adult spaces can bring us all together!
It's also the first time I've ever agreed with Bri on a parenting issue.
No. I am a pro family person on the right and I am completely in favor of child-free spaces. Also, I have several elementary aged children.
I thought it was illegal to be underage in a bar. I thought the bar could lose its liquor license if caught.
I thought so also. My parents owned bars and no children were allowed, including me.
Depends on the State and typically if the establishment serves food or not.
But there are many fewer bars that aren't also restaurants.
I’m pro family and it’s been obvious our culture has become anti family but you don’t need to bring your kids to a bar
What happened is that we dropped our reproductivity rates down to replacement levels -- significantly below what previous generations did. The result is LOTS of Old People -- like me, 71, and relatively few children -- and probably fewer and fewer for the next 60 years. GROWTH is dead, except in elderly care.
It depends on the time of the day and if you're eating
Growing up, my parents owned several "bars." I took it for granted no one under 18 (before the age changed to 21) was allowed in the bar.
Parents are worse than most kids
Bars are certainly not a place where you bring kids. Anyone who brings children to a bar is irresponsible.
This is an example of how both the Internet and Culture Wars work.
1 bar makes a funny chalkboard sign, random guy shares a picture, it becomes news.
It’s a fake controversy. No one really cares.
I love my children. I don't like other people's children as much.
Isn't that a little cognitively dissonant? Because EVERYONE is someone's kid? And if you like kids enough to produce and own one..?
Agreed!!!
I love my child and have always loved her friends to ❤. Gotta take care of other people's babies if you want yours looked after.
@@matttrianonah. It’s representative of some parents don’t raise their children to be just as narcissistic as their parents
I seriously love kids, but I have no problem with adult spaces.
Children are allowed in bars? I thought that was always illegal. I thought no one under 21 was allowed in a bar.
For the record, bars are not public places. They are private businesses. And they have the right to refuse service most states at least
And there are plenty of bars that find they make more money if they invite families in
While other bars are seeking to attract a different demographic it does not want kids around.
This is why the government needs to stay out of people's lives and let the free markets prevail
Pubs are implied to be public, they're called public houses. The US doesn't really have an equivalent that doesn't have a drinking first atmosphere.
If you're taking your children to these places where they generally aren't welcome, it's usually a sign of bad parenting.
Dogs are much more well behaved than children these days.
Agree... They don't give you the finger or hate you.
@emmynem6847 what kind of kids do yall know?? 😂😂😂
Idk about you, but I wouldn’t want dog hair circulating in a space that I’m eating in.
@@NotLikeUs869 then don't go. I have a dog, so eating at home I have dog hair circulating in the space, I'd have no problem bringing my dog to that bar with me.
@@NotLikeUs869 I eat in a space inhabited by 7 animals daily at home. Doesn't seem to be an issue. Most of the "Dust" circulating inside of most homes is about %90 dead skin cells. I assume most public businesses are clean enough to eat at on a daily business.
Next thing kids won't be allowed to work with power tools.
As a parent of 5 kids I’m fine with areas where kids don’t go. When me and my wife have a night out without kids why do I want to be around yours?
As a father of four I can attest that one thing that is often overlooked in this discussion is the desire of parents to go to a place that is child-free just every once in a while when they get a break. Brie made a good point here. If an establishment wants to have no kids inside but allows pets, that should be their right to do.
Bri just made the argument at about the 8:40 mark for why kids can't consent to gender reassignment surgeries.
Bingo.
Outstanding catch sir. Well noted
No one has ever advocated for children to have access to gender reassignment surgery if they gave gender dysphoria. That's just the very few that do
@@hopeintruth5119 is it “no-one” or is it “very few”? I’m confused by what you’re saying.
Please yes, kids ruin dining out, movies, bars, etc. Parents, get a baby sitter or stay home.
I’m good with the children. It’s the adults who are idiotic.
You’re right. Children should remain inside of their homes until age 18.
So much kid bashing in these comments. I get it, they're annoying. Maybe remember you used to be one of them.
It's like they saw Children of Men and thought it was utopian.
I'd take a kid over a dog anytime. Kids are our future not pets.
Yeah people in the States don't like children much. I wouldn't mind them but honestly its their parents who refuse to give any discipline and so many people, especially in the educational fields have to deal with the fallout.

@@Really-ej8jtI totally agree.
No kids at bars is a good idea....
Movie theaters and airlines NEED TO implement this!
Yes, because we need more seats open for the adults who love the Trolls movies. Also, glad we’re thinking about the parents who want to abandon their kids for a week while they go to Cancun.
Did you think about this or were you too excited to express your narcissistic hatred for children?
@@christophermanley3602I don’t think I proved it. I think all the people who hate children proved it. Children are not experienced with life the way adults are. To hold them to the same standards as adults just shows a lack of compassion as well as poor self-reflection; imagine an adult telling you they hate you simply for being a kid? And if your beef with kids is that they don’t listen like dogs do, then you’re a narcissist who demands you have your way and if you don’t get it, then time to make everyone else miserable.
@Damien: I'm gonna go with "both". I thought about it, AND I was excited to express my narcissistic hatred for children. 😜
And you don't like the Trolls movies? How sad... ☹
And hellz yeah those parents in Cancun are gonna LOOOVE me! You should come. I'll help you remove that stick... 🍾🍻🍹🍸
@@damienalvarez2957 What a fallacious Strawman attack that is. You skipped rhetoric in school, didn’t you? There’s nothing wrong with having kid free activities in your life. The idea that kids have to be included in everything is ridiculous. Some things are just for grown-ups, this isn’t rocket science and it’s not an indication of bad character that somebody wants a kid free zone.
My entire life is a childfree zone most of the time. I definitely don't expect to run into kids at a bar! I can understand them being taken to movies, but even babies at movies is ridiculous. If you can't focus on the movie, then you shouldn't be taken to the movie. Other people aren't the babysitters.
Praise be, a segment where gaza, palistinians, nor jews were mentioned...
This reminds me of that Michael Jordan " F them kids" meme 🤣
There should obviously be areas where children ought not to be. But this country desperately needs to be pro family. Being pro family and recognizing some places aren't for children are not antonyms, they are required allies.
Preach it. As a parent of 4 the idea that we can’t have kid free spaces is ridiculous. There are plenty of other opportunities for families. They can create adult only spaces.
If it's a bar, lounge, or club kids shouldn't be there. Idc about other locations.
I have 4 kids, and I totally understand that people want child free areas. No question kids can be incredibly annoying at some points.
Please tell me what conservatives were upset about this?! I'm a conservative and it irritates me when I see children in a bar. I consider that bad parenting because they are exposing their children to behavior that should not be emulated by a child.
I want more childfree zones.
People bring their kids to a bar at 11:30 at night. The kids act up because they’re tired and it’s past bedtime. It’s crazy and unbelievably common.
I'd be happy enough if the 1-house perimeter surrounding my house was a child-free zone! But the more of these zones that pop up, the better!
I love it. Keep kids out of adult spaces. This is a good thing
Keep kids out of bars, its not rocket science!!!
I love the idea, children are annoying AF.
Not as annoying as adults.
Not as annoying as adults who hate kids for no good reason other than having cruelty in their hearts.
Much more annoying than adults. Sorry.

Perhaps it's best if parents stop having children. That way we won't run into complications. Briahna, you look very nice in this video.
This is the mom that takes her child to Chippendales😂
How are people running into so many kids in public? I only see a ton of kids in places like the airport or places you'd expect to see kids: like a zoo. Beyond that I hardly see any kids in most restaurants or public events.
We can only make every thing and place safe and welcoming for children if we infantilize all our adults.
Childless adults are not allowed at the playground without a child. Imagine excluding people like me... lol the internet is weird.
We used to have these things called "babysitters". Get one. Problem solved.
They disappeared about the same time as this thing called "disposable income" disappeared.
The amount of families with small children who hang around local breweries is ridiculous 😑😑😑
Child free resorts are retirement communities
My grandmother owned a bar and my cousin and I grew up there. We definitely understood that we weren’t to be seen or heard by patrons unless it was a party.
When I worked at a nice restaurant it never bugged me when kids came to brunch and threw stuff everywhere and basically misbehaved because that was just the vibe of brunch. It always seemed weird though when adults would bring their kids and they would misbehave or cry while other couples had paid a babysitter and were trying to have a special evening. We allowed it but it always seemed super inconsiderate to me. I’m not talking about teens and tweens but small children.
I’d rather be around the children than grumpy adult period …
They literally have child free cruises. What's wrong with child free bars? Why is that even a question?
I’m a mother of 2 children (4 and 2 year old). I definitely agree that bars are not the best place to take children.
But you cannot deny that there is an anti children sentiment out there from a lot of people without children.
It’s good for children to be in different public spaces and learn to adapt to being around different people and settings. People can’t have it both ways, you can’t complain about children being glued to their technology and lacking social skills while excluding them from certain social spaces.
I think a lot of the anti-children sentiment stems from the fact that often children are disturbing others. Parents often say kids will be kids, or they tune their kids out. If you get a babysitter because you want to go out for a quiet meal the last thing you want is someone else’s kid ruining your evening.
After seeing this, my GF started calling her belly "the pub" because it's also a child free zone. And probably because alcohol is present. 😂
children do not belong in bars....
Child free bars. Child free drag shows.
We need both child free zones and child friendly zones.
I’d love a child free grocery store
Weird take
Lol. Good luck stay open.
I think you are on to something
That's a weird one, unless you live in a particularly unruly neighborhood where children routinely dirty up the place.
Go to the pet shop
God and baby Jebus please give us a space where people can't bring their freaking mutants.
Sorry but I don't think that it is the right that wants to bring children to bars
It shouldn't be on the debate at first. It's a bar. Of course, it should be free from kids. It would be odd if you put the zone on the playground or family spaces.
can you smoke at the bar in the US? Bars usually are only open at night, right? Why would you take your child to a place where people smoke and drink?
We have child free bowling alleys in Massachusetts. I don't see the big deal
Don't you have to be 21 to enter a bar? What Karen started this conversation?
Pubs are usually a different atmosphere than bars
Can we get this on at least one non-stop flight to wherever if there are at least two in 24 hours? I'm thinking NY to Taipei, LA to Hong Kong, Boston to Narita, whatever. Now, I actually like small children that I can enjoy but when they get crufty I can sic them back on their parents, my kids are fine because we've done the time and they're now adults who can have a glass of wine and chillax like the rest of us. It's the little children on the plain who are often carrying one illness or another who are going to turn in their seat and look straight in your face as they sneeze, cough, & hack that turns the entire aircraft into a petri dish of unknown and uncontrolled disease. Funny thing, I've never had an adult turn around, hang over the seatback and huck up some odd chunk of lung onto my dinner on a 13-14 hour flight as I've had a child do because bad parenting. Heck, I'd be happy with zoning the aircraft by age so rows "x" thru "y" - alcohol age restricted, rows "y" thru "z" - any passenger. Now I don't care if "x" starts at the front and "z" the back or the other way around. Heck, the airlines could charge a bit more for "adult only" class in the current "cattle class" section of the aircraft. Best to put adults at the front to avoid the turnaround child gacking in the lunch tray in the first row of adults. They can also make the break point where they like provided it's at least adolescents who tend to be more interested in themselves and other tweens.
The country is becoming increasingly Hispanic. It's a cultural norm for them to bring their kids wherever they go. They will encourage or demand that this become more of a norm in whatever establishment they go to. Not necessarily a bad thing.
I'm a father of thee kids, and i totally support child-free zones. Especially bars!
I support Bri and her parent-friend's me tume.
Adult Swim: Get out of the pool
Im in favor of no kids anywhere.
This is sad and ridiculous which shows how ignorant and unreasonable people are today!!
For instance, a crying baby in a movie. Like no phones, or loud conversations.
I think kids have to much freedom and no respect. And THEY NEVER CHANGE even when they grow up
Kids need a lot of freedom to grow up and learn so they can understand the consequences of their actions. Of course with safety rails so they dint have huge consequences
Lets get the kids off airplanes and out of movie theatres!
Exactly. Childfree demographic pays more for those things anyways, so why are kids being prioritized when they don't even buy grown up tickets?!
They call these 55 and over communities. They’ve been around for decades. Lower property taxes when you don’t have to pay for schools. Grandkids can’t stay too long. We solved this already,
That was my favorite episode of Arrested Development.
Places that should be child free: movie theatres after 8pm; bars; restaurants without kids menus; airplanes;
There should also be some restaurants available for adults only. Peace and quiet while dining.
I would prefer a bar or a winery that was free of BOTH. They are less common to find these days.
Lol it's funny Bri mention that children don't have the cognitive ability of adults in her defense of them not being in bars. But that goes out the window when it comes to Transitioning children.
People in my age, 75, mostly did not bring children to a bar unless it was outside. We need to be child welcoming anyway so we have another generation if you love your country and people.
This is what happens when you put your career first before having a family.
Part of the problem is that children today are generally raised to have all the focus be on them, which ends up hurting them.
Our local, extremely rural bar is also a place to eat. We have had birthday parties, Christmas parties and 4h meeting in there. They are allowed till 8 o'clock inside. My kids were raised in there. Probably heard some things. Probably saw some things. Small town life.
children should not be speaking to strangers. everyone used to know this.
Children aren't allowed bars. Why is this coming up? It's a bar.....
If it was something else. Bri would be sounding the alarm if one place does it others will too. Child free places would be great. Or even sections at restaurants. But a bar a kid doesnt need to be there.
I can’t believe any right winger would be pro kids in bars I need proof of that.
Omg a child free NYC would be amazing. If you want to raise a child go somewhere else
