Marie, the very first contestant, was actually very good. WTH is up with Simon and Randy with dogging on her like that. First off, she said she only cared about seeing them and didn't care whether they said she was bad or not, she would be just as happy cuz she got to see them. I've watched a lot of performances and this is the only one that ticked me off. She was really good and really nice, but they were *$%@#$@! to her.
To me the 1st girls voice didn't even sound bad at all. She was being way too hype and overly active and everything, but her voice was not terrible at all. The judges were being rude to her for no reason
The first girl who sang Leann Rhimes was actually far better than the tarzan dude! She was straining a bit....but Tarzan's pitch was all over the place!! How in the world was he one of the better voices? How Sway??
8:29 I took a history and appreciation of theater course a couple semesters ago and the textbook said that you don’t have to be a great singer to be on Broadway, that a lot of people have gone on and had a very small range or weren’t super good at it. I’m not in theater so I definitely don’t know for sure. But that’s what the book said haha.
