Even though the creative way in which you decorate, draws me in, the sweetest things are not your flowers or decorations, but the momentary glimpses of your PRECIOUS children! In the opening scene of this video, when I saw your baby’s little body nestled tightly to your own, I was immediately transported back to the years when I had that joy. Those days were fleeting. I really enjoy the times, in your videos, when one of your children casually walks into the room where you are arranging something! I miss those days!
Your home is so beautiful! If I could suggest a helpful tip for your peonies. Next year if you pick them when they haven't bloomed yet and are squishy like marshmallows and bring them in to open inside, they will last much longer. Also, storing them in the fridge at night helps prolong that vaselife time too. Just so you can enjoy the beauty longer.😉
@@hymnsandhome totally understandable! I just wasn't sure if you knew how long those beauties could last. Someone shared that tip with me a couple years back and it was a game changer!
When I think of a cottage garden, I think of a galvanized watering can.. tall, spiky flowers blowing in the breeze, garden gloves and boots , old hand tools , and of course ,a garden gate. Love the three wire wall baskets on the brick wall. Absolutely gorgeous. Then the beautiful large planter and the amazing blue door. Perfection! Your plant combinations are so pretty. When decopaging with napkins.. I always remove the back white piece, then use the one floral piece. It goes on much smoother. All your sweet, simple touches just speak of spring. Looks like a cozy, peaceful life.
Thank you so much! And thank you for the tip - these napkins were pretty thin. I didn't realize the backing could be removed without them falling apart. But I'll try that next time! :-)
Hi Melissa so good to see you again! Hope everything is going well for your family & your new little one ❤ Thank you for another relaxing & informative video.. you do a lovely job 😌

Hello Im new to your channel!! I live in east Texas!! Your home is so cozy and inviting!!! All the flowers are so pretty!!! And you holding your sweet baby close makes me remember when my children were small!!! Im a empty nester with 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson!! We have 2 daughters and 1 son. Im looking forward to your next video!!! Until then take care and God bless!!!😊
Looks like you’re gathering some firsts watchers. Yay! I know I was hooked the first time I watched. My favorite this time was the bird quilt being hung on the ladder with the others. “Oh you need a blanket? Here is one❤️” Second favorite were the 3 baskets on the brick wall filled with flower plants. I can’t not mention the little head bobbing close to you🥰
Thank you! :-) I used hemming tape on the previous curtains which were plain white. I had them up for about 5 years and never noticed any yellowing. I can't speak to beyond 5 years, but I'd venture to guess it's not an issue.
Thank you so much! :-) The floral pleated lampshade was actually a diy. It was a thrifted pleated lampshade that I covered in a thrifted bedsheet. I believe you can find it in my "Lovely Fall Homemaking" video from November. ruclips.net/video/z8XAvt4LCPo/видео.htmlsi=1449TSl6CPheX7JN
Hi there! The brick clips and rug are linked in the video details under "Items Featured In This Video." If you click on "more" in the gray section and scroll down it's toward the bottom. :-)

Thank you so much! Yes, I got out there much too late due to storms for a few days. Hopefully next year I can pick them sooner! :-)

Hi! Your new curtains look lovely. I've never tried hemming tape. Does the glue used on the tape cause yellowing of the fabric over time? Thank you!
