This music video is about Corey digging inside to face his personal demons/trauma. Each room has a different meaning.
1st room (Sid): Clinginess/Unwillingness
2nd room (Joey): Narcissism
3rd room (Craig): Self-hatred/loathing
4th room (Paul): Delusion
5th room (Shawn[Clown]): Manipulation
6th room (Mick): Anxiety/paranoia
7th room (Jim): Lust/want
8th room (Chris): Vengance
The squealies are called pinch harmonics or artificial harmonics. Dimebag from Pantera and Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society and Ozzy's band are famous for them. But Slipknot uses them quite effectively as well
Its likely the drop B tuning with pinch hamonics that makes its sound "Slipknot" to them

Great reaction, The guy in the room of mirrors is Paul Grey, he passed away not long after this and the drummer Joey Jordison, the guy getting his hair brushed backwards passed away in 2018 I think was the year so R.I.P. Paul and Joey. The effects on the guitars is called pinch harmonics, Slipknot does them good but the True Gods of this was Dimebag Darrell of Pantera may he R.I.P. and Mr. Zakk Wylde of Black Label Society.

Pinch harmonics came way before slipknot, the band that abused it first was Pantera but it has been used like since the 60's by Leslie West, and in metal it started growing up in late 70's by players like Glenn Tipton and Jake E Lee

Slipknot showed their depth in 2004 w/ the song 'Vermillion'... that they were capable of more than just shredding and pounding metal music... 'Dead memories' in 2008 also gave another dimension to their music.

Probably my favorite song and the most played from them on my playlist. I used to think it was repetitive and bland, but this one and Sulfur really grew one me a little too much.. and the lyrics are just amazing.

Fun fact about Corey. He lived with his grandmother when he was younger and she listed to a lot of Jazz, so naturally, so did he. Which is why most of his music outside of slipknot is so slow compared to it.
