I love how Clint is the first one to kneel. He knows the immense pain of a father being forever separated from his child. Only, for him, that “forever” just miraculously got cut short. He got his world back. But Tony willingly sacrificed his own, with no chance of ever getting it back, for the good of everyone. Including Barton and his own family. The respect Hawkeye has for Iron Man here is immeasurable.
Clint was the first to kneel because he tried many times to give his life when something needs sacrificing, but there's always someone who does it for him.
An Archer, A King, A Cosmic Soldier, A Half Human Half Celestial, A Valkyrie, A Cybernetic Enhanced Daughter of the Enemy, A Thief turned Hero, A Super Soldier, A God of Thunder, A Sorcerer Supreme, A Princess, A Dora Milaje General, and A Knife Wielding Warrior all knelt and showed the highest of respect to the Human who sacrificed his own life so that they could live theirs.
Take a knee for Chadwick. Man was a true legend. Visited sick children and was a beacon of hope for everyone while fighting for his life in secret. A Real Hero.
I love that it was Hawkeye who started it. I wished we got more Avengers interacting like a family. I want to know the real depths of their relationships and this is one of the scenes that gives me somewhat of an idea.
We already had a glimpse of it on Age of Ultron (the partying and the "who can lift the Mjolnir other than Thor" contest at the start of the film). We, the audience, know that Tony has a lot of impact to his co-Avengers, especially the OG members. The last scene at AoU makes it clear that Tony, Steve, and Thor do some joking around when they're not in business (the elevator is not worthy banter).
@@amon8977 RDJ also used his OG role with Marvel and Disney to help get more money for Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth. In a sense, the MCU family bond is real even off screen.
@@roastpork5437 I know. It's really nice they have that bonding. And I hope that the legacy left by RDJ in the MCU goes on. Can't wait for another series of movies.
It’s actually quite sad that it’s Hawkeye first, because it’s always sort of implied that Tony and Clint were never really friends in the same way the other Avengers were, they always had a contentious relationship, that culminated in Civil War. Hawkeye kneeling first therefore is a sign of respect not often shown in there relationship
Because it was redundant and affects the pacing. The funeral afterwards serves the same purpose and that one can't be cut in favour of this one because the funeral is more concluding. You can still assume that this scene did happen in universe, but it doesn't work in the context of a movie.
@@avez-ch1np it would have been fine in the movie alongside the other one, it isn't that long, and it isn't redundant, this scene was the super heroes, showing respect to a fallen ally, the other one is friends paying respect to a fallen friend. 2 very different scenes, having both of them in would have been fine, and ironman's final message could have played in between each of them to have a gap between the goodbyes.
Tbh it is kinda cheesy. It makes Tony look like some sort of religious figure, which is not the intended picture they want for Iron Man. Iron Man is just a man. A man who happens to die for the freedom of others. And freedom means not to bow to a simple mortal man. He died and sacrificed himself as their equal not their superior. But this kneeling scene makes it look exactly like that. Therefor the funeral scene afterwards fits much better. It is nit goodbye to a god or king. It is a goodbye to a friend.
Gotta be honest boys you come with some great arguments here. And I see why you boys see the funeral scene fit more. And it does. I just see it as a very wholesome way to say goodbye to someone who has been a hero to all of us and I do wish that this scene was at least alluded to
It was his company’s missile but Tony didn’t personally sell it to terrorists. For all we know the bomb could’ve been built and sold while Stane was taking control
I wonder how Pepper feels about Strange after this. I think it’s likely she hates him for not warning her or doing anything to save her husband. Even though the logical part of her mind would probably agree with his actions, her grief for Tony would ensure that she never spoke to or even looked Strange in the eye again.
@@12classics39 Bro stark died on titan! what strange did is give him 5 more years. He did him a favor knowing that favor would be repayed by tony saving half the universe. 😑 He had nothing to feel bad for rewatch
Seeing Dr.Strange take a knee here is way more impactful than his emotionless face at the funeral. Matter of fact, I wouldn't mind if the funeral was the deleted scene.
My head Cannon is that both scenes are in the movie proper, but the funeral takes place the following week or weekend, when people have had at least just a little bit of grieving time. Perhaps by then Doctor Strange has already been confronted by multiple people about knowing Tony's fate, chosing not to tell him, willing the final outcome into existence. Everyone's understandable bargaining of his choices in their grief. Perhaps by the funeral Stephen is a bit more jaded and emotionless because while he still feels grief and loss, he knows that it was the ONLY outcome. That it HAD to happen that way. He's firm in his choices and actions. And honestly, all of that emotion is shown SO much more here, but it's also gif very early bargain with it, understanding that he carried the burden of knowledge of his fate, but also that it was the only way.
Delete the funeral or not, his scene to the death should have found its way in. Showing his guilt. Just adds more and more. Was the one that sentenced Tony to his death basically. For a good cause for sure, but he was the one that sent tony to his death. Then wiped everyones memory of peter parker just a few months later
@El Ski The parallel between Peter and Tony hurts. Peter figuratively sacrificed his life to save the universe. (No one knows him now so... his life is just...) Tony literally sacrificed his life to save the universe.
I love how after T'Challa realized Hawkeye kneeling, he immediately kneels without hesitating at all, despite being a King he didn't think twice about kneeling before a commoner (not saying Tony is nothing special, but by ranks, Tony is just a celebrity billionaire compared to a King like T'Challa). And now, it is our turn to kneel before the humble King, RIP Chadwick Boseman. 💐😔🌹

I love how Clint knelt because of grief, and T’Challa saw him kneeling and thought it must have been out of respect for the fallen. Then Carol saw T’Challa, then everyone just knelt down to honor Tony’s sacrifice.
I think I understand why hawkeye was the first to kneel. Remember, he had lost practically everything but his family was then brought back. Sure it was bruce but tony was the one that figured out time travel. He's the sole reason hawkeye got to see his family. And then a few hours later he destroys thanos(the man who took clint's family in the first place) and his army. He can't help but be grateful to the man.
He's also feeling a lot of grief and guilt. He still feels a lot of guilt for what he did as Ronin. He has watched 3 people die so he could live. First Pietro saving him in Age of Ultron. Then Nat on Vormir (who is the closest thing he has to a sister) sacrificing herself so he could go back to his family, then Tony sacrificing himself to save the entire universe from Thanos. That man knows the cost of these battles better than most and he knows the price Tony just paid.

He could have saved Loki, Gamora and Vision and stopped the snap. I blame him for all of this and don't feel sorry for him for one bit. KB Raven maybe he did that in his 14 million trial but its fail somehow, tony sacrifice its the only way to win against thanos... but after all its just a movie, its all the decision of director and writer to make tony die 🤣
Gamora hated being a part of thanos's quest from the beginning. She didn't show any emotions here because she didn't even know Tony at all. I don't think she was angry at him.
I think the only reason she didn't kneel was because she felt guilty, like she didn't have the right to kneel when it was the people she was with who caused everything and caused him to sacrifice himself. She's also quite emotionally detached at this point considering her lifestyle with Thanos and would probably be very uncomfortable kneeling with everyone else. But I don't believe she was angry with Stark, and if she was it was buried within because on the surface she despises Thanos and buries any love she has for him.
Doctor Strange's kneel and expression before doing so is even more meaningful when you remember that he was the one who saw Tony Stark die all those years ago and knew all the grieving it would bring for the other Avengers and Tony's family.
The fact that The sorcerer supreme The captain America The king of Waksman (RIP) The Scarlett witch The winter soldier And many more such high power bow to a fallen god is how I would describe this scene
1:14 the fact that Wanda on the right also decided to kneel really shows that in the end she decided to forgive Tony for his past actions that affected her life
The fact that we already had tears after Pepper tells Tony he can rest was enough. To add this scene, then everyone getting reunited and Tony's funeral, we would have lost it. I cry every time. This is Powerful enough without words
A very cute thing is, that earlier on when Pepper and Tony discussed time traveling, Pepper said “I know you wouldn’t be able to rest if you didn’t do it” or something along those lines, and then when Tony finished the whole things she said “you can rest now”.
@Siddharth Singh It's the ultimate respect cuz they fought each other and hated each other but when one dies, the other went on his knees... Also it's cap... He doesn't just bow to anyone lol
@Siddharth Singh bro thing is that a guy who has done sacrifices in his life bow to the iron man who sacrificed his life that is why it is ultimate respect.

Then what's the point of making that grand funeral at the end where we see all of the heroes and people tony knew paying their respect? This scene is cool and all but it doesn't make sense you already got a funeral scene with all of the heroes and people tony knew are there why make a second one? (keynote: by second one I mean this video)
@@bullettime8760 because while it DOES show them paying their respects before the funeral, that is fresh after the battle, where Tony's daughter, Happy, Nick Fury and Agent Hills, I think her name was, as well as the boy from Iron Man 3 were unable to attend, and in the funeral scene it showed an item that was symbolic to him, as well as giving them the opportunity to reunite with family and friends, get cleaned up, and properly put Tony Stark to rest.
After this scene, Wanda wanting to bury Vision hits differently. Tony had all this love and appreciation, but Vision only had Wanda. And Black Widow and Loki was just brushed away.
Clint went to the darkest place of all of the survivors of the snap when he lost his family. Tony was the essential element in him getting his family back. And then he saved them (and all of humanity) again. Reiner did a great job capturing how Clint must have felt.
This a wonderful scene. They really should have included it in the final cut. It's sad but it's important to give Tony the respect he deserved after he gave his life to save them.
If they actually kept this scene in the theatrical version with the funeral combined... _This could potentially reach over 3 billion dollars in the box office._
It would've been overkill to have both this and the funeral scene. Especially since you have a lot of fans already annoyed that Tony got a big dramatic funeral and Natasha didn't.
An air force veteran, a woman with incredible abilities and superpowers, a man who survived gamma radiation, a man who lost his family to the snap, a Valkyrie, the daughter of the villain, a man who’s half human half celestial being, his crew, a sorcerer supreme, a super soldier from world war 2, a king, and a god all knelt before the hero who gave his life to end the biggest threat to the universe. The respect they show here to him made me cry when I first saw this movie and looked this up. I was in tears and this is why Iron Man is my Favorite Marvel hero. He has no superpowers, he’s billionaire with fancy toys. But In the end, he was willing to sacrifice everything for his daughter, wife, and teammates he called his family.
That’s what makes the funeral so heartbreaking, when he says ‘I hope family’s are reunited all across the world’ knowing that his family was the one thing he wanted at the start of the movie. It’s heartbreaking
After this in the Soul Stone - Stark: Hey, Nat. Did you miss me? Nat: Did you do it? Stark: Yes Nat: What did it cost? Stark: Your life and mine. Nat: What did we save?: Stark: Everyone Nat smiles.
It's this scene that makes me believe that the MCU knew what they were doing, this wasn't just a special moment but when you think about it... it was Iron Man that started the whole thing. This was the MCU giving him thanks, not just the marvel characters.
@@subman23 The reason why Natasha doesn't get a send-off so to speak is that her character isn't done. Yes, the character has gone but her story hasn't yet been told. The anticipated Black Widow movie will hopefully give her more development.
The only thing missing was Peter’s reaction. Tony was like the father he never had, to see him go in front of his eyes must’ve been heartbreaking to say the least. It was a nice touch though that Tony’s final interaction with Peter was that big hug Peter never got in Homecoming.
The way everyone bent down shows that they lost a good fighter and he sacrifices his life for them but the way cap bent down shows that he lost a friend.
It goes back to the moral of Endgame. Good will win, but there’s a very high price to pay for victory. In this case, a human cost paid by Tony, Nat, and Vision.
I know I wouldn’t have held my tears back if this was in the final cut of the film…However if my tears weren’t shed, I know 100 percent that I’d be very emotional on the inside

A Real Hero.
Yea:(
Wakanda Forever
Mhm
I'm taking a knee right now for Chadwick RIP Chadwick we love you 3000
And Stan Lee. The man who made the characters that we know and love.
Ron and RDJ and Tom Holland go on hikes together sometimes ☝🏼😂 the father son bond is also real
I will continue to never understand why they deleted this scene. This is a golden scene and its a glorious ending to the grandfather of Marvel
Because it was redundant and affects the pacing. The funeral afterwards serves the same purpose and that one can't be cut in favour of this one because the funeral is more concluding. You can still assume that this scene did happen in universe, but it doesn't work in the context of a movie.
This scene felt too forced. I agree with it being cut.

You can really see the guilt Strange has on his face, he was the only one that knew what Tony had to do to save everyone.

Well Benedict's a great actor
I wonder how Pepper feels about Strange after this. I think it’s likely she hates him for not warning her or doing anything to save her husband. That s why He said If I Tell you, It won't Happen
Alot of people think that's why he brought pepper
The amount of regret in Strange's face...
This would’ve hit harder than the funeral tbh. The look on doctor strange knowing that this was going to be the outcome hits deep :(
Seeing Dr.Strange take a knee here is way more impactful than his emotionless face at the funeral. Matter of fact, I wouldn't mind if the funeral was the deleted scene.
I wish it wasn't deleted

I think I understand why hawkeye was the first to kneel. Remember, he had lost practically everything but his family was then brought back. Sure it was bruce but tony was the one that figured out time travel. He's the sole reason hawkeye got to see his family. *Nebula trying to prove she's better than Gamora in vol 2*

But I don't believe she was angry with Stark, and if she was it was buried within because on the surface she despises Thanos and buries any love she has for him.

not cool bruh not cool
If gamora alive , probably loki ddnt die right?
First movie: Tony was ready to sacrafice his life to kill a bald guy
Last movie: Tony sacraficed his life to kill a bald guy
Loki: In the end, you will always kneel.
Old Man: Not to men like you...
If Loki had been there, I imagine the scene going like this:
*Loki kneels while next to Thor and before Thor does
*Thor looks briefly at Loki as he himself kneels then puts his hand on his brother's shoulder
*Loki looks briefly at Thor
Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth could have 100% pulled that off while adding weight to both their stories, but not detracting from the weight of Tony's sacrifice.
@@mcrvids6860 Loki would’ve told everyone to kneel and would’ve joined them
Loki kneeling would be hella ironic
I was so mad they had to delete such a meaningful scene. This gave me goosebumps. Seeing the guilt flow through Dr. Strange, he knew. He knew this was going to happen but he couldn't tell Tony.
its but a short moment where you see that immense remorse on his facial expression. Véry impressive from Benedict Cumberbatch to put thát much emotion into such a short shot.
Well, it was ultimately cut due to redundancy issues
@@LOLMAN9538 And pacing....the funeral scene had a similar vibe, but gave a little better closure. At least this scene exists to BE seen, even if not in the final release
They deleted this because it’s the same as the funeral scene
They only deleted in the Land of the unFree. I saw it when it was in the cinema.
1:13 never noticed that mantis doesn't understand what is happening and just kneels because everyone is doing it
didnt black panther and captain marvel do the same
This would be me, and when I saw it it felt like I wouldn't've been alone.
Lol
Following the trend bois
@@intothevoiceover-verse they did the same but they knew why
Loki: "In the end, you will always kneel."
"Not to a man like you."
In the end they did kneel... but they did so to Tony.
@@LOLMAN9538Loki probably would’ve kneeled too if he was there
They should’ve included the whole army on their knees. That would’ve gave me goosebumps
Aka TLOTR 3 goosebumps
Nah that would be over-the-top
No, it would have lost meaning
@@timothysantiago2615 I think if they had shown it after showing just the main avemgers, it'd probably be more impactful by way of conveying that he was respected and loved by *everyone* and how many people are deeply affected by his death
@@skychieftain That and the funeral scene already takes place right afterwards.
So yeah this would’ve been a bit redundant
The way Cap dropped to the ground really showed how sad he was about Tony's Death. And it really makes sense, since they both are like best friends.
They were not (their realtionship was pretty hard after Civil War), but they still had some mutual respect and friendship
@ They were more like brothers, brothers fight, and sometimes done talk to one another for periods of time. But they will always be important to each other.
Maybe that and Thanos beat the living hell out of him, 5 minutes earlier.
They were not
“Trust me if cap wanted to lay u off he would’ve.” Tony stark homecoming
“The world has just lost its best defender.” Steve Rogers IW
Hawkeye took the knee because he lost the strength to stand upon seeing his friend dead.
*Black Panther thinking he’s bowing*
“Do you do that here?”
Yeah, i thought so😅

@@dont9866 Ok I wont -_-
That ain't funny
@@lpsylvie1418 I laughed
Always loved how Chris Evans kneeled in a way that made it seem like Steve literally fell to his knees in comparison to everyone else.
They should have kept this in. All I can say, it should have stayed. He started the Universe, man...
I would’ve liked it too, but then Tony would’ve gotten two separate funerals, while Nat got zero
@@DA-gm1us True, but this felt more symbolic and emotionally charged then the funeral. I know having the funeral over this makes sense, it would have just been nice if they were on the same level. And we should have at least had some scene with Clint at a tombstone with Nats name, even if it was just a symbolic on on his farm.
Tho this isnt a funeral, its to pay respects
@@BurntBalls yeah.. But still Nat had none. I love Tony, but they were all forgot about Nat.
@@DA-gm1us thats not a funeral tho, he died there, they kneeled like 10 seconds after he died.
I can see why this was deleted, they cant just give Tony 2 funerals and Natasha none.
Correct
Technically the scene by the river when hulk throws the bench is her funeral but I see your point.
@@clickboat4790 I say Natasha got no funeral cause even when they did remember her, it was only for a short moment, not like Tonys funerals where people kneel and pay respects and when everyone showed up by his wooden house, even people who didnt know Tony were there, like Captain Marvel. While Natasha was a big part of why they succeded.
MaxiDoesStuff everyone had a big part, Scott gave them the idea to time travel and It gave them hope for a second chance, Tony solved their time travel problem even though he refused to do it at first, then we have Rocket, Bruce and Tony building the Quantum tunnel to actually allow them to time travel, and the three of them also built the nano gauntlet which would’ve been impossible for just one of them to build. Not one person was more important or a big part of why they succeeded, everyone was important in why they succeeded, and don’t forget that Hawkeye would’ve gladly given his life in exchange for the soul stone
I would have preferred this, os something like this with a little more instead of the funeral honestly.
Strange is the one that brings tears in my eyes whenever i watch this. Just by his expression, u can tell the amount of guilt he feels at that moment, knowing that this day will come. A single chance of everyone's survival, at the cost of the life of a single man and that too not himself. There's nothing he could have done about it even after knowing everything. He's own life is spared thanx to Tony's sacrifice😢
I really hope they work on that on the Dr. Strange sequence...
The one who ultimately saved the universe is not a god, not someone with superpowers, not a king, not some super soldier. He's just a human with a big brain and and a bigger heart.
