I've received a Blue Card decision letter for one job, but I haven't started working with them yet. However, there's another offer on the horizon that seems like a better fit for me. Here are my questions: 1⃣ Updating Zusatzblatt with Ausländerbehörde: Can I update the Zusatzblatt (supplementary sheet) with the Ausländerbehörde to reflect my new job before receiving the physical Blue Card? Is that allowed? 2⃣ Changing Jobs Before Starting: Is it generally okay to consider changing jobs before even starting the initial job I applied for? What's the usual procedure in this situation? 3⃣ Risk of Rejection: Do I risk facing rejection from the Ausländerbehörde just because I'm contemplating changing jobs before starting the first one?
1. Yes There is no mention of Employer in Blue card. Hence you are free to switch jobs anytime 2. absolutely ok However, ABH may ask for clearence from previous employer. Hence you must fully comply to job contract for resignation. Check this video ruclips.net/video/D-x9xYpZaOk/видео.html Also, all relevant documents as mentioned in video (JSV Job Switch) will be required by ABH 3.No risk ABH will however check all parameters for your new job like Salary, Job profile, Match with your eductaion etc etc EZB will be required from new employer. Hi Thanks for such an informative video. I have few questions 1: If during probation someone lost job holding blue card, he has 3 months to find new job ,what are some other possible ways to extend his stay if he cant find job within this period and what will be your suggestions to extend and avoid it? 2: If we get job within this 3 months period, can we start job immediately or we have to wait for appointment for the changing of employment data on blue paper because in probation, notice period is of 14 days and after new job search how long we have to wait or we can start job with our existing blue card and wait for appointment. and 3: what if we got job in last month and appointment time is exceeding 3 month time limit of blue card. Thanks
1. As per my experience, there is very little chances of Visa Extension. It may be very "Case Worker" specific and depends a lot on his or her discretion. Only if any interview/final rounds are lined up and Visa date ends, there may be some chances of Visa extension. Or, if final decision by the company is pending, then also ABH officer may grant extension 2. You need to again go through the German bureocratic process for change of Employers name. Without this, you wont be allowed to start new job 3. In this case, you need to line up very erly morning (4-5 AM) at ABH office and try meeting the officer on emergency basis. This case can however serve as a reason for Visa extension. To avoid such cirumstances, I always sugget better to avoid big cities, Check this ruclips.net/video/8P8VI1DvZkY/видео.html
1- as replied in previous comments, its possible, subject to discretion of ABH (Auslanderbehorde) based on applicable conditions (Jobs interviews/ company´s decision etc) 2- Its not hard coded as 1 or 2 month. Its actually a one day job. However getting appojntment with ABH is the only hurdle. I did this complete process within 7 days(described in video in previous comment) Secondaly, for such a "Second run" usually it takes comparatively lesser time for bureocraic process 3- Its a case specific thing. I belive only ABH officials can give you exact answer. My first job´s salary was 55K. However ABH never gave me any option to choose between Blue card and Work permit. I was given Blue card
Hi Thanks for the information,I have a doubt,Can I switch company before I have the blue card,Can I follow same method to get approval from immgration office and put paper in 1 st company and change to the new one, Please let me know.

hi Karthik, I have question, my blue card processing is for new employer and this month is my last with current employer. My new company start date is at 1st of March. I am yet to get appointment for BlueCard(after submitting application). At what stage of my blue card application I would be able to work for the new employer?
Hi, Getting blue card may take some time (approx 40 days) In the meantime, On appointment date, Auslanderbehorde may paste a paper sticker on your passport, which looks like typical visa. If this is done, you can srtart your job
@@FirangiFiles is there something they may give just approval to start work like in change of employer case. Then on that email approval i can start new job?
They will most like check few parameters like 1. Salary is more than 56K 2. job profile is in shortage skills 3. job is inline with studies etc etc If they are convinced, they may instantly paste sticker and you can then join job next day. Else they may take some time (approx 21 days) to finalize decision
About switching the jobs, whwn do you think its best time to break the news to current employer? After getting job contract from new employer or after getting approval from Ausländerbehörde for job switch?
Brilliant question!! In my opinion, in most cases, Ausländer Behorde step is only a formality. Also in big cities it can take 2-3 months. Critical step is signing Job Contract with next employer. Also signing ✍️ means you are legally bound to proceed. Hence, once you sign job contract with next employer, you can break the news, and write a written Resignation letter (check my video on Resignation)
@@FirangiFiles Actually my notice period is 4 weeks and I am in one of the big city. So all the timelines should match, so need to he careful. But I have my Bluecard already, so need to change Zusatzblatt. But 4 weeks makes it tricky.
Thank you for the video. This is very informative. My condition is quite similar. I was in Munich , moved to Berlin , done with address registration but my new company is from Düsseldorf. Shall I do all this process here in Berlin ? I will be continuing staying in Berlin as my profession allow to me to work from home. Thanks in advance.
Hi Rohit. As I mentioned in Video, Only that Auslanderbehore (ABH) will take up your case where you are redgistered (Anmeldung). So in your case, you need to do in Berlin. However, be aware that ABH of big cities like Berlin are overloaded with work, and take a lot of time. So you must do it asap.
Hello, I have moved to Stuttgart,Germany on blue card in February 2024 and new employer is in Hamburg, what shall i do? Do i need to contact Stuttgart auslende or Hamburg? Shall i contact Stuttgart auslende or Hamburg?
Hello ,zusatzblatt is stuck as a piece of sticker on the passport for those who are applying for blue card/work permit from india.so no loose green paper is given. since you converted you jsv to work visa in germany , maybe they are offering a loose green paper called zusatzblatt in germany. Please let me know if I am wrong? Also the EZB form is same everywhere . even in India its the same form.
Hi, when you apply in India, you get a paper sticker pasted on Passport. This is a temporary work permit valid for 3 or 6 months. After reaching Germany, you need to convert it into Blue card, valid for 2 or 4 years. With this blue card you receive Zusatzblatt
@@FirangiFiles Thanks a lot for you answer. Just FYI : suppose you are on JSV in India and you got a job offer without travelling to Germany you can easily cancel your JSV and apply for a blue card from India itself.
Many thanks for the informative video. I have a couple of question that I appreciate for the answers. I am registered in Berlin and work for more than 17 months on my work visa, which is valid for 4 years. An employer in Hamburg is willing to hire me. Considering one month notice period, what would the steps for me to not mix things up? I do not know how to switch job between different cities. Should Berlin ABH send something to Hamburg ABH or should I send them something?? What are the reasonable steps in my case? Many thanks in advance for your cooperation
@@FirangiFiles Many thanks for your reply. So, I will ask Berlin ABH to send something to Hamburg ABH? Should I present them with the job offer from Hamburg company? the video is informative, but would like to know the details, the steps.
You only need to furnish all Soft copy of documents like your Visa, Pasport, New Job contract, Accepted resigation letter etc to Berlin ABH. They will issue you with a new Zusatzblatt, with new Employers name Please also see this: ruclips.net/video/D-x9xYpZaOk/видео.html Also, some ABH now need this intimation / Zusatzblatt update in FIRST YEAR ONLY. Please check with Berlin ABh on prevailing rules.
@@FirangiFiles Many thanks for the answer and the suggested video, which I watched. So, If I am not wrong, I must approach Berlin ABH with the new job contract, passport etc., and ask them to reissue the Zusatzblatt with the name of the company in Hamburg? Is this what you state? It does not make sense a little bit because it seems that Hamburg ABH has not a saying in this process, and also it seems that I do not need Anmeldung in Hamburg? Many thanks in advance for your reply
Yes you do. Actually, its not only Zusatzblatt that is updated. Auslanderbehorde will also make update in your profile like Tax, Employer name, Social contibution etc. Hence, you must definitely inform ABH, and receive their confirmation before switching jobs.
@@FirangiFiles Thanks. I did inform the Auslanderbehorde and they stated that they've updated their records and there's nothing else I need to do. However my new employer is insisting that the immigration office must provide me with a "Bescheinigung zum Arbeitsplatzwechsel § 18b Abs. 2 AufenthG (Blaue Karte EU) zur Vorlage beim Arbeitgeber" before I can commence my new employment.

Hi, it’s hard to tell only with Job profile Blue card decision is taken by Ausländer Behorde. In case annual salary is less than 57000€, then another organisation ZAV , ZAB acts as deciding agency. They will also decide based on multiple factors like skilled profession, shortage profession, educational background etc etc

Please check this video thotoughly ruclips.net/video/IpBgociUc38/видео.html In addition, there may be more docs required, Auslanderbehore can better tell on them
Hi, I think (not sure though) that first job on JSV should be a regular job. Specially as for visa conversion auslanderbehorde requirs a detailed form from HR. Also, Minimum salary must be 44k+ which must be clearly vivisble on Job contract. All these things may not b possible on freelance

3. In this case, you need to line up very erly morning (4-5 AM) at ABH office and try meeting the officer on emergency basis. This case can however serve as a reason for Visa extension.
To avoid such cirumstances, I always sugget better to avoid big cities, Check this

1- as replied in previous comments, its possible, subject to discretion of ABH (Auslanderbehorde) based on applicable conditions (Jobs interviews/ company´s decision etc)
2- Its not hard coded as 1 or 2 month. Its actually a one day job. However getting appojntment with ABH is the only hurdle. I did this complete process within 7 days(described in video in previous comment)
Secondaly, for such a "Second run" usually it takes comparatively lesser time for bureocraic process
3- Its a case specific thing.
Certainly you can switch.
I’m fact, it’s pretty common thing
You need to follow all steps as mentioned in this video.
I suggest, check this video completely for hassle free resignation

hi Karthik, I have question, my blue card processing is for new employer and this month is my last with current employer. My new company start date is at 1st of March. I am yet to get appointment for BlueCard(after submitting application). At what stage of my blue card application I would be able to work for the new employer?
Hi, Getting blue card may take some time (approx 40 days)
In the meantime, On appointment date, Auslanderbehorde may paste a paper sticker on your passport, which looks like typical visa.
If this is done, you can srtart your job
@@FirangiFiles thanks 👍
@@FirangiFiles is there something they may give just approval to start work like in change of employer case. Then on that email approval i can start new job?
They will most like check few parameters like
1. Salary is more than 56K
2. job profile is in shortage skills
3. job is inline with studies
etc etc
If they are convinced, they may instantly paste sticker and you can then join job next day.
Else they may take some time (approx 21 days) to finalize decision
@@FirangiFiles ok thx
superb video!!!
Thanks a lot!

When person in changing job and city of living as well, witch imigration office lerson should contact? ( in current city or new city)
In the city where Anmeldung exists

Just FYI : suppose you are on JSV in India and you got a job offer without travelling to Germany you can easily cancel your JSV and apply for a blue card from India itself.
same can b done even when candidate has no JSV

They will issue you with a new Zusatzblatt, with new Employers name
Please also see this: ruclips.net/video/D-x9xYpZaOk/видео.html
Also, some ABH now need this intimation / Zusatzblatt update in FIRST YEAR ONLY.
Great video! What if my zusatzblatt does not have any employer written on it? Do I still have to seek approval when changing employers before 2 years?
@@chinuakatchy1252 For this document, only ABH can help. You need to follow up with ABH and ask for this. If your employer has conveyed this requirement to you in written form (letter/email) Then you may fwd the same to ABH to proove genuineness of requirement
@@FirangiFiles Okay thanks so much!
@@chinuakatchy1252 Hi!! Were you able to change your job successfully? I am in a similar situation. I also don’t have employer name or job title written on my Zusatzblatt and am changing job less than 2 years on BC. I have reached out to LEA and got an email that since the new job also satisfies the BC requirements I don’t have to do anything and I can change jobs. I am still pretty nervous reading about all this and don’t want any problems last minute.
Can i change my employer details in zusatzblatt after joining in company ?
Yes
Definitely

@@FirangiFiles I think it is not possible , I went auslanderbehorde, they said illigeal
Hi Would you please direct me I have a question I live in Croatia right now. I got offer letter from Germany in banquet dept in hotel Munich. Well in my case I will get blue card or not?
Hi, it’s hard to tell only with Job profile
Blue card decision is taken by Ausländer Behorde. In case annual salary is less than 57000€, then another organisation ZAV , ZAB acts as deciding agency. They will also decide based on multiple factors like skilled profession, shortage profession, educational background etc etc
@@FirangiFiles Do you know what documents do I need if I am coming from Croatia actually I have Schengen visa so do I need police clearance etc like Asian country or not ??
Please check this video thotoughly
ruclips.net/video/IpBgociUc38/видео.html
In addition, there may be more docs required, Auslanderbehore can better tell on them
Sir I have done BCA but I am working in banking as sales manager so am I able to claim Job seeker visa ? Plz answer sir
Certainly you can,
However, For sales profiles, you need to interact with numerous people, hence need to be fluent in German

Hello Sir,
Can one do freelancing on JSV ?
Hi, I think (not sure though) that first job on JSV should be a regular job. Specially as for visa conversion auslanderbehorde requirs a detailed form from HR.
Also, Minimum salary must be 44k+ which must be clearly vivisble on Job contract.
All these things may not b possible on freelance
What is the process to change employer while still on Visa.
Same as described in video
But I only have visa and new contract.. nothing else
@@aloochan22 you need to gather all documents including stellenbeschreibung signed by new employer HR and report to Auslanderbehorde
@@FirangiFiles but i have not done anmeldung yet, will that be ok..iwas still to land in Germany or shall i go for new visa with new employer
@@aloochan22 without Anmeldung, Ausländer Behörde will most likely not entertain, else you need to give them a strong convincing reason.
If still in India, you can apply for a fresh Visa at German Embassy near you, but you need to first revoke existing job contract
