I believe AMA are the main association lagging behind. We’ve been racing 250 2 strokes against 250 4 strokes here in Australia for like 6-7 years now and it’s awesome, privateers can go race a national and still be competitive against the big teams with just a stock 2 stroke.
I was blown away at how good this gen husky was compared to the Yamaha for a clubman intermediate level rider. So smooth and minimal vibration. Great job ping and vital crew
Usually don't like my gear to match the bike, but Pings kit was LIT ! The bike and that TLD gear looked amazing ! I have been riding 2-strokes forever and still do ! So much more fun and exciting , keeps you young and your skills shifting and braking sharp . I have had a dozen 2-strokes , some motors heavily modified and some stock with a pipe and jetting. Unless you are a serious Pro that just races, leave it stock ! It has better low end and is still fast, you just have to shift a little more. That was a great build !
I love these videos! Can you answer this question in them, “who is this bike for” ....vet, local pro, everyone ect Thanks for the free entertainment!!!
Vital MX, you guys have blown it out of the water with this! Catering to your audience! Thank you, and please continue these video series with David Pingree.
Good video ping. I like that you kept the budget down on this particular project. With regards to the power valve adjustments , I’d highly recommend the Kreft power valve adjustment tool, it stays on the bike and you can turn it by hand. Makes making small adjustments at the track a breeze. I also own the 2021 Husky and it’s an awesome bike! 💪👍
Crispy 👌🏻. Honda guy all day long, but I’d rip this Husqy. Used to have a 1985 250CR. It was an interesting bike to ride in the woods for two and a half hour races. The power came on like a light switch, so you had to always be paying attention. Ping does a great job, real world shit, not that pipe dream throw the book at it (all donated most times) builds. I enjoy those kind of builds as well, but his advice is usually spot on. Helped me with my ‘19 CRF250R
Budget isn’t a high priority for them. Power, looks, and newness all rank higher. This is one of the cheapest builds though. Brake tips and 3-400 footpegs are definitely overlookable, but if nihilo is throwing stuff your way you just put it on there.
Husqvarna is just a white colored KTM. This is basically the same exact bike as the ktm 250sx. I went from a YZ250 to this TC250 and I have nice regrets. The counter balance is awesome, along with the adjustable power valve.
I have the 2019 TC250 and I can’t decide on which silencer the pro circuit r304 or 304. Everyone says the bike signs off quickly but then they put on the r304 when the 304 is the one that is supposed to extend over rev. Any reason why you chose r304? Just for the sound?
I don’t ride 250 but the one thing is for my 125 is the shorter pipe (R304) the bottom to mid is pretty weak but if your really wringing it out it continues to pull hard up top, the longer pipes (304) seem to have a more traditional “Motocross feel” where it pulls nice and hard yet usable from bottom to mid but once you hit the top the power seems to just go flat
I have the 19 Tc 250 to and I’ve seen the R mentioned in the same breath as ‘lack of top end’ they must mean the longer silencer!? It’s a great bike feels light, took a few hours to get use to the power style but all good now!
DennisK - call Pro Circuit and ask, they will guide you to the correct one. Their pipe, I've heard, also helps over-rev power from the sharp drop-off with the factory pipe.
Ping your still quite capable of twisting the throttle! But i say this with the up most respect.....the 32" 34"? Have got to be retired for the next size up. You know what I'm going to say that it's the cut of that particular brand of apparel, either way that look a bit tight. And as fast as you look wearing them I would think you could shave off a few more seconds if you could move around on the bike easier 😁😁
Ohh Ping I got to ask bro. First did you win the lottery cuz this thing you are calling budget? makes my wallet cry and the second is do we all get to call PC after we pawn the car for the spring conversion kit and have Bones (mad respect to bones by the way) come out and meet us at our (oh yeah no one is open yet) track?? Not hating, just saying would love to live in your world for a few.
Yea “on a budget” if your best friends with procircuit or live in Cali 😂 “procircuit” came out and helped us tune it nicely “ haha... don’t think anybody would be stupid enough to buy bling parts and yellow plastics if they were “on a budget” ..... power valve was a cool tip and interesting but seriously ping?
You realize you don't have to put plastic or graphics on it, right? We do those things to make it look cooler, but it obviously doesn't mean you have to do it. I'm surprised I have to explain this to you.
People do not realize how affordable this bike and build are compared to a four-stroke build. I bought this bike from Lojak's after watching this video. I'm happy with it bone stock, but may add some goodies from your build in time. I'm surprised how good the engine is stock. The suspension is very firm for a 165 lb. Vet B rider.

God long live the 2 strokes!
It warms my heart to see that they aren't going anywhere
Production level has gone way up great job guys!
I completely agree with 250 2 stroke in 250f class...
Paul Tselembis We do it in the UK and MXGP is doing it this year (if it ever actually starts!)

Man that bike/gear combo looks fantastic !!! :D

Bad ass bike. I raced xcross 82-04 love 2 strokers. Great Vid Great Build. twick & wick on

Awesome bike and video! Two-strokes are coming back. Less cost and more fun.

I believe that is a "Seat Concepts" over a "MotoSeat," for a new/non-stock cover.
My OCD has triggered seeing a Renthal bar pad on pro taper bars 😫😫. That said great video again thanks 🙏
Watching this now the 2021s are out, with the new midvalve in the forks, I wonder if the spring conversion is still a go to?
Pro circuit suspension is top .maybe one day give NOOST or N10Z a try .
Great video.
Ok so how much for PC Spring conversion ? $$$
Thanks
$700-ish. Pricing is on the PC website.
lightening fast!
Ping still got it! Stuzzy style.
Very very good ❤❤❤
Badass bike
Sicc graphics!
I was get ready to hear a build sheet like normal talk about amazed when I hear silencer and suspension
I dig it
Man I want this bike!
Does anyone know what the best spring conversion is for these forks? I know there is a KYB and Ohlins kits.
Just get a yz250 then you don't have to do fork conversions.
mips good point
@@rztrzt yz handles like shit compared to these tc250's hands down the truth, i had a hard time beliving it till i got myself a tc250
Can you do a budget build Ktm 250
Just do the same thing, Husky and KTM virtually same bike @!!
Haha he just did. See above video⬆️
What gas is he running?
*Map 1-Agressive, Map 2-Mellow
Budget? Still a 12k to 13k bike.
But you can pick up a 2 stroke and tune it way cheaper than an equivalent 4 stroke - that’s the point he’s making.
Especially since he didn’t put 4K into the motor

Interesting, the fc250 is only $800 more.
Is this even a good brand? All these new bikes, betas, husq, etc...how do they fair against yami, honda, or Kawis or sukiyaki?

Couldn't wait to see how this came out! Looks unbelievable 🔥 if only the pipe was blue 🤔
Not a bad set up with the forks , air is just plain shit , I don't think there will ever be a good air fork set up but that is just my opinion!!

Is the conversion kit better than a kyb?
