0:40 those buildings is downtown Bklyn. Across the water those buildings are the beginning of downtown manhatten financial district where the twins use to be!
Huh. Why don't they raise flaps immediately after landing. Crazy good video btw, I could watch this whole day, this must be the next best thing to actually visiting the city.
To me there is something very relaxing about watching planes land at LAG airport in New York. I watch these landing before I go to sleep and this relaxes me. Like you, I can watch all day.
Does anyone know what the speed brakes flap up and down while in flight? Also, are the pilots adding input to do this or is it an automatic feature? It seems to me that they are not flapping by means of hydrolic power because it happens so fast
@@glenbearh9109 I'm no expert but I think it's the pilot moving the controls left or right there's a lot of inputs when the aircraft is on final approach. Have a go of microsoft flight simulator 2020 it'll help you get your head around things abit i am still yet to begin flying training
Thanks for sharing the view of the landing and your plane ride

It acts as an aileron for more deflection at lower speeds
@@conorr9192 Thank you. I notice they tend to flap rather quickly and wonder if it's from constant input by the pilot or is it the computer doing it?

...and at 5:14 you can see him again below the skyline backdrop about to touch down just as this plane has vacated the runway. Tight!
It's called One World Trade Centre.
You can see my house at 1:37!!!
