  • Many of you guys have been asking me how to do "The Matthews" move. Teravainen was the first I ever saw do it on ice, but Matthews picked it up a bit differently. The innovative move is rooted in the game of floorball, frequently called "zorro moves."
In this tutorial I give you 3 options for trying this move out. Enjoy!

I think there is nothing especial in the technique. A lot of Finnish, Swedish, Canadian, American, Russian children do such tricks.
Though making this on WC in the right moment is badass. Can't remember final score (3:0?) but our guys (team Russia) were beaten up :) Greetings from Pietari!

Pavel, first of all, Love your videos, they are really entertaining. You are an awesome person with a big heart, finn's could learn a lot from a guys like you. You should check out Mikael Granlund's (Minnesota wild) zorro goal against russia in IIHC 2011! The first time i ever saw zorro in icehockey was somewhere around year 2002 or so. It was some canadian guy at college level league, was a huge thing back then. Lastly, the floorball hook that you are using for zorroing is considered "illegal" in floorball. The curve can be up to 30mm (used to be like 24mm one and a half decade ago). Nowadays not many people use "zorroblades" because its not really beneficial for the team. Much love from Finland!

TheWizardofSolazz Rob Schremp never Zorrod with the puck on the ice like that on his stick hahaha he was an aerial control specialist, he did shit similar but it was with the puck in the air. And still to this day not many people/players can perform insane Zorro/aerial tricks, because the technique and how to do them was kept a secret.
