I unexpectedly became Christian on the 7th of September this year after a religious experience specifically involving Christ it was utterly bizarre, I thought I would be non-denominational for a long time after this experience but quickly became Catholic. Luckily I'm already baptized and had my first holy communion as a Catholic. I expected to be agnostic for the rest of my life but nope.
Fr Mikes “Why be Catholic and not just Christian” was my first real encounter with Catholicism. It is now 647 days since I received first communion. Life is beautiful and Christ is Lord. Alleluia!
I joined the Church in 2019. This year during Sunday Mass, Fr. Mike Schmitz gave a homily about the real Presence of Jesus' Body Blood Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist. I finally understood what that really meant and began to cry tears of joy. (Thank you, Holy Spirit, for speaking through Fr. Mike Schmitz) to help me to understand that Jesus is really present in the Eucharist!
