Indeed the beaultiful thing about this game is when you grow a little older and start to really grasp all the intricate and very well-constructed story and character arcs. the game just opens a whole new dimension on your head and blows your mind all over again.

Thanks for covering my favorite game of all time! Truly a game underapreciated, ahead of it's time, and full of love from it's creators. The atmosphere, world building, story, exploration are all amazing. I still think it's crazy that there's *SO MUCH* of this game that is entirely optional and requires the player to look at the environment and remember clues, I mean most people had no idea that the Human Citatdel even existed. It also reminds me of From Software's design of maps, where so many of the areas loop back around to each other once you've aquired the abilities to traverse the obstacles. Great video! ✌️💜

Not a single year have passed over the last 20 years, that I haven't been looking for news for legacy of kain. It was THAT epic. It's not about being demented fans, it was just the unequaled quality of the story and plot.

I am a diehard Halo fan but I have to admit that LoK has the best voice acting, writing and philosophical lesson out of any videogame franchise, its just insane how ahead of its time it was

It really is one of the best game series of all time I would really want to know if there is any game out there that compete with the story of this game series, go ahead name a few .
Last of Us, red dead series, silent hill 1 and 2. Bio shock, final fantasy VI, fire watch, outer wilds, Nier automata. Theres plenty of good narrative games. But only a few that were made before companies started to throw money bags to the writing department.
I used to play this game alot I hope they lesn to us bringing it to the Xbox series s and x it was a deamcast game then it was on GameCube god please make a new soul revar game or remake the series

Damn. I wish I was that kind of adult that had the money to buy any new game that I want. Lol. Soul Reaver is great. I want a remaster for me to get hyped about, and then immediately disappointed.
Remastering would be an awesome idea, but ip belongs to squarenix. And thay are not going to do it

I first played the LoK series when I was 13 years old (so just like you). I'm actually replaying the first Soul Reaver game now, I'm about to enter the silenced cathedral. The game definitely holds up imo and I can't wait to play SR2 and Blood Omen games again since I barely remember them.
Anyway games like LoK are very rare these days. Almost every modern AAA title is injected with some pseudo intellectual agenda that makes me wanna puke. Social media are destroying gaming as a medium. Modern western developers can suck a fat one, they destroy everything they touch with their cancerous woke propaganda.
I love this series, but I also hope they never remake any of the games. Modern studios and publishers will ruin them if they do.
Give this to the game devs that love and grow up with this series. And have no pressure from higher up's to do as good as a job as possible. And then thay will
It's not the "Soul Reaver" series. It's the Legacy of Kain series. It started with Blood Omen 1. A ton of people vastly prefer Kain as a protagonist over Raziel.
In the video i say that its not. And actually say that its second game in the series ;). Bit to fast to comment ;)

Blood omen is actually great i had the honors playing it for the first time. I would say it one of the best RPG ish style games on ps1.
This is highly subjective. I don't mind old graphic, just like I love watching old black-and-white films and listening to rock bands from the 70s, but for some kids today that kind of stuff is not good because "it's too old".
The IP is free from shitenix stagnation! Now we will see the coins edge and twist fate once more! Just please for the love of God do NOT put woke bs into the next game!

It is the best in the series in my opinion, altough Kain is a far more interesting playable character than Raziel, lore-wise.
I love Raziel more as a character than Kain. Lore wise I do agree Kain sounds more interesting, but it's because he had more time to develop.
