Hi Gretchen Happy New Year ! I cant believe all the Christmas packed in bins already ! Onto Valentines Spring and Easter! The Santa head pencils are cute! My first eight track was Kiss . Have a great weekend ☃️💞
Great minds think alike on the Kiss 8-track! Shortly thereafter, the Walkman became the big thing with cassettes. I was lucky that my mom’s car had an 8-track player. Happy New Year Caroline 🥳
Those chip tins brought back another childhood memory-- Charles Chips (I saw one in the background here) I loved when the Charles Chips guy came to our house. Everyone on the block had the iconic beige and brown canister in their house 😊
@catnpawsmercantile Yes he came just like the Milk Man. You just had to buy the tin once then it would be cheaper to just refill. I was born in 62 -- so it was probably late 60s early 70s. He had pretzels, cookies and some candy too. Definitely the good old days ❤💯
@@lauraann7816 Feel as though I missed on a visiting candy man. I’m intrigued with the idea. When I lived in Virginia Beach we had a neighborhood Swann truck. He stopped at my neighbors house every week.
@catnpawsmercantile I have always been and will always be obsessed with candy. He had stuff like gum drops and maybe licorice. I don't remember exactly. The main thing was the chips. Housewives everywhere had the chips. I just saw Tupperware actual Tupperware on HSN a few days ago. The tall salt and pepper shakers brought me instantly back to my childhood supper table. I think even though they are modernized a bit I may have to order some pieces.
@@catnpawsmercantile PS : Lacey, Joe, and I still have the Initial trays you sent us a few years ago. You got them in a Michael's grab bag and were kind enough to share them with us 💞 I am definitely a sentiment gal.
Oh the Pinto! I had a friend that had an orange hatchback and she wrecked it. She replaced it with a baby blue hatchback and wrecked that one too. I was lucky that my moms car had an 8-track player. She had a Mercury Montego. Happy New Year! Glad you like the new name 🥳
Hello Ashli (btw love the spelling of your name). Right now I’m only hoarding my finds. We will be moving in the next few weeks and I want to convert our current house into an antique store. I’ll figure out specifics as I go, but I plan to do RUclips live sales in the near future. Be sure to stick around and follow this journey with me 🥳
Hey Bumble, yes I changed my name! There is a community post floating around. I wanted to change it to something that not only reflects my love of vintage but vintage to now. It works into the theme of my store planning.
Those tubs are a good value! 😮
I’m curious how many Christmas tubs make it to green color week. Probably some good stuff in there but they were taped snug.

You had a visiting chip man? That is so neat. I remember chips in the cardboard canister but they were in store.

Happy New Year! I like the new name. My first 8 track was the doobie brothers played in my 1974 orange pinto with a landau roof. Good times.

I love Blendo too and that was a very nice set ate the end!
I’m not a huge glass person but Blendo stills the spotlight every time. I’ve been fortunate to find a piece from time to time.
Happy New Year and love the new name 💕!
Thank you! Happy New Year 🥳
Oh my fresh goodwill
Yep girlie! Happy New Year Lena and family 🥳🥳🥳
Where do you thrift? Nice channel. I'm enjoying shopping with you
I thrift in Bedford, Pennsylvania. There is a handful of places around here. Thank you for coming along!
Our GW's only do coloured tags on clothing
Goodwill can be fickle. I’m glad mine does a 50% off color tag, otherwise they don’t do any other discounts.
Hello! Ashli here. Where do you sell your items? Sure liked the video. Prices are so frustrating though! You take care!🙏🇺🇸🙏

How can i find your ebay store?
Hi Gretchen. You changed your name. What does Mercantile mean?
Hey Bumble, yes I changed my name! There is a community post floating around. I wanted to change it to something that not only reflects my love of vintage but vintage to now. It works into the theme of my store planning.
Mercantile is what they called stores back in the day.
