The Sage 5 is BACK! This time in Burnt Orange G10 and REX 121 steel! I also do a clip swap at the end to a Ripps Garage Tech titanium clip.

@@AggroSamurai Do it! 🙌🏼. I’ve gone through a dozen cardboard cuts so far, probably way too soon to tell how long the edge will last 😂.
And they have a detent track. As does the standard version. I like the “fancy” stand offs. Think they’ll fit para models and other 🤔
@@DuhYaThink Really? I haven’t noticed that in the closing but now I’m intrigued 😆 I wouldn’t be surprised if they did fit the Para models
@@TriedandTrueEDC The s30v lw Sage actually has one fancy one on the clip also. So there are 2. The new Rex121 doesn’t have it 🤔

Hi. My question is how to sharpen that hard steel? I won’t buy one, if you like it fine. Not for me.
@@scrick7112 Hey brother, thanks for dropping a line. I’m planning to use diamond stones to sharpen it when the time comes. I’ve sharpened Maxamet just fine and don’t expect Rex121 to be too challenging.
@@TriedandTrueEDC Got it. Just saying there other hard steels that are easier io sharpen in the field. I got a SpiderCo in Maxamet as well. Sharpen it on the Ken onion. One of my favorite bangers.
@@scrick7112 Nice! I have a Ken Onion WorkSharp as well but have been using the Worksharp Precision Adjust Elite and have been enjoying the results from it more since most my knives are V shaped edges. My preference is Cruwear and M4 for tool steels on EDC’s. But I always get suckered with new steels 😂
