  • It's time to rebuild our "vintage looking" swamp cooler. We've been using it for over a year and have been very pleased with it. Now it's time to make it look more vintage. Most of everything is explained in the video, but if you have any questions, please feel free to let us know!
    Part II can be seen here: • Poor Mans Swamp Cooler...

    Thankyou. I will make one from scratch. I am thinking PVC gutter section and end caps, PVC down pipe to hold a Bestway pool pump filter, and so on.

      The guy who was selling the "blanks" had an Etsy store. They're "bare bones" to start with, you just have to do things to make them your own. Last I looked a year or so ago, they'd gone up in price just a bit.

    I am impressed with your video and your work! I will have to get one of these for my 72 SB so I can keep cool in New Mexico. By the way, how does the cooler work? if it's swamp, you must add water somewhere??

    • @kentuckyhotwheels
      @kentuckyhotwheels  4 года назад +1

      No, it's purely forced air. However, if you're creative enough, you can build the internals to make it work just like a vintage swamp cooler...it's a really good platform to start with. :)

    Do you have close up pics of the bracket?? Have one with no bracket!! Don't want to break a window.

    • @kentuckyhotwheels
      @kentuckyhotwheels  4 года назад +1

      I made the bracket, so it's not something you can buy. It's only there for some support, but mainly to mimic the originals..The cooler is light enough that it doesn't require a bracket. Here's pretty good close up of the bracket..I made it with aluminum tube, all thread rod, suction cup and a piece of bent metal yard stick... www.flickr.com/photos/boydhouse/29478054937/in/album-72157648489426094/
