i have two files in excel, one the data file and the other is supplementary file consists of names of villages and its code. I want to import data file into stata with names of the villages corresponding to their codes. In the data file only the codes of villages have been mentioned not the name. the solution in the video will work in this situation?
can you tell me the way to do that?
example: 1 (code) ABC (Village name). 1 20
    2 DEF 1 30
    2 34
    2 35
(the first one is in supplementary excel file, and second one is data file)
    1 ABC 20
    1ABC 30
2 DEF 34 want to Import data like this in STATA. Which command will work?
