  • Stephen Vokins is testing out the latest Mercedez Benz CLK 320 Coupe. In one word, he describes this luxury car as 'subtle' and claims it's the best he's ever driven. With its 3.2L engine and 18 valve V6 engine, it has a break horse power of 218 reaching a top speed of 149mph. The CLK is meant to replace the E-Class coupes and cabriolets predecessors as a practical proposition for everyday motoring with a German,Teutonic character. Vokins describes the manufacturers attention to detail as mind blowing with a subtle, "not too opulent" interior.

Beautiful car. I prefer this original pre-facelift version looks classier than the later models. It has grown on me over the years.

I've owned my CLK for 15 years, I'm getting it ready for a major refurbishment, it's not been moved for 6 months and it's being picked up next week to go off to a Mercedes Benz specialist.
It's not going to be under 5K to get it back to its former glory, but with only 50,000 miles on the clock I don't care how much I have to spend, as long as it's not too much 😶😶😶

Los acabados son mejores que w209. El w208 era una mezcla de class C y class E, w209 derivado completamente de class C

That stupid coat he wears explains it all. I have one of these clk320 convertibles. It is a 6 cylinder and runs like a 4 cylinder. The top hydraulics failed and the top started to tear. The brakes are poorly designed. The oil filter is at the top of the engine where it cannot catch sediment. This car only has 72k miles on it and you would think it had 120k. I'm sorry, but my 98 lincoln mark 8's are so much better. The lincoln interiors DO scream luxury while the Mercedes do not. Sorry, just not a fan of the Mercedes. Even my 96 conversion van rides better and has a better interior.

The 2003 model had a faulty radiator that leaked into the transmission and required expensive repairs. This was fixed in the 2004 model, so go fit one of those.
