Who am I?
Hello! My name is Max Reisinger (Rye - Singer) and I’m a 17-year old student-athlete/entrepreneur/visual creative. I’m currently in my last year in high school and am applying to college/university (wish me luck). I’ve been creating videos here on RUclips since the beginning of 2019 when I moved to France for 7 months with my family. I attended a French public school during my time there and filmed all of my experiences/travels/new perspectives. After moving back to America, I started a business (perspectopia.com) and have continued to film how I use optimism to live a happy, well-balanced life.

At the beginning of 2020, I started a clothing brand - Perspectopia (Perspective + Utopia). My ultimate goal with this RUclips channel has always been to create a community and I strongly believe that optimistic perspectives can change your life. So, I decided to create a community based upon these ideas and also decided to create a line of clothing so that you can represent these same ideals.
The first collection launched at the beginning of 2020 where I released a limited round of 100 embroidered champion hoodies. You guys absolutely blew me away and they sold out in less than 9 minutes!!? I dont know why but always when i feel kinda sad at nighttime i come to this channel click your videos and i can just turn off my brain for an hour and just relax. I just applaud Max for trying to figure out what is the best path for him. When I worked as an Admissions Advisor, I saw people go to school with no real interest in being there.
I hope to pass on to my children to be thoughtful about their decisions in the future (and post high school graduation). This is partially why I created my channel.

As an older Aussie, I have been watching you on and off for a couple of years. My best friend lives in APEX, so I have been to Chapel Hill numerous times. I have uni aged kids, and I have found it facinating comparing our system of uni applications to that in America, ours is stressful enough, the US System seems to be ultimate stress country for getting into uni. BTW the oldest of my friends kids decided to study in Australia (being a duel citizen having one Aussie parent and one American parent), it is considerably cheaper!

Great video, Max, so brave of you to share that with us. I am sorry/not sorry that the Brown thing did not work out. Some of the best things in my life have things I have had to come to by default of not being able to do something else. At your age, for example, I was desperate to become a doctor but got lousy exam results. My second choice was psychology and I got accepted at a very unfashionable college. Needless to say, I loved the course, had great teaching and met lots of cool people. I had a subsequent very successful career in education that was everything I could have wanted. You are a highly talented, beautiful person and I am totally confident of your future success. Enjoy the ride, kiddo
